Here’s my theory for what happened: Silver and Jalen we’re past lovers, who loved each other dearly, after an accident of some sort, Jalen gets possessed by some sort of evil, and with each days that evil infects his mind and makes it worse, not wanting to hurt Silver, he casts himself away from his lover and promises to himself that Silver will never have to see him like that. So silver goes days not knowing what happened to Jalen and wanting badly to see him. Jalen’s “curse.” Grows worse as his malice and evil grows inside him and he can’t even think straight. I've probably watched this 30+ times and I just now noticed the gun....how did I just now notice the gun! That is a testament to the emotion you draw into each face, that captivated me so much! So much that I did not notice the gun!
I love this animatic. It tells such a gripping story. I crave to know the rest! It's like reading the prologue of a book that's missing all its chapters! I'm hooked, and yet can not read farther. Please, if you can manage it, write the first chapter of the tale. I believe it's going to be a good "read" so to speak :)
That's what I think! It's beyond a simple retelling of The Count of Monte Cristo. The maze was beautiful with their expressions, especially those that were due to their movements and positions to each other.

Okay so I love this song to pieces and use it as inspiration for a character arc of my own, and holy cow. This has got to be one of the better animatics for it I've ever seen. That shot of Silver sliding down the banister of the stairs was really well drawn, especially. There was such a sense of purpose and action in this whole thing, and it's great.

This is my very first time watching ANY of your videos. I already love this and love your OC designs. The story was fitting for the nature of this song. I mean come on, Silver is just happy to have found Jalen after he thought Jalen died. Jalen however simply used Silver's emotions to lure him into his trap so he can kill him. That is so messed up and yet, the perfect tragic love story. (You can make it friend wise, but this is a love song, so I'm going with the original song route, lovers with a past) Edit: How many of us still want Jalen to kiss Silver at the end of the song after watching it at least a dozen times?

I have like a story thing based off this song. Basically, 2 brothers jeremy and Luke who are 5 years apart but really close. Luke gets bitten by a vampire when hes nine and his parents lock him in his room because they are crap parents. Jeremy would sit by lukes door and talk to him and stuff but their parents force jeremy to stop talking to luke. Luke runs away and the parents tell jeremy that luke is dead. Jeremy doesnt belive them and once hes old enough becomes a vampire hunter hoping he'll find luke. After like 5 years with no luck jeremy is convinced that his little brother is dead but he has to continue hunting vampires because his parents wont let him stop. 11 years after luke ran away jeremy finally finds him and is like 'oh my god my little brother is alive and i finally found him' but after 11 years of isolation luke is basically dead inside and hates himself. you get the picture

So... First of all this is gorgeous! The art - I wish I could draw this well, and I think I _could,_ but the whole knowing that my current art skill is not up to par with the images in my head paralyzes me out of even trying 9/10 of the time. Second, my take on the ending...the _way_ you ended it, I really don't think Jalen is going to change his mind on his own about shooting Silver. If there's ever a part 2, picking up where this one left off, that trigger is going to be pulled UNLESS something else happens (i.e., Silver says _exactly_ the right thing/someone else finds them there).

SO I had to comment again because I've been rewaching this and it's really incredible. The animation may not be "smooth" in the fact that it's not fully animated, yet you made each frame work for the story and the characters. The characters portray so much emotion that I actually felt worried for Silver when Jalen pulled out the gun. That is not only good animation, that's awesome story-telling and use of emotion. Awesome project, I look forward to seeing what else you produce.

After watching this multiple times, I believe while Silver supposedly believed Jalen was dead, something happened to Jalen, a possible possession? But he hasn't been taken over completely. His 'good' side, or his past self, is trying to take over the 'bad' side, or the possessed side. He is conflicted with himself. At the line "can either of us really ever be free", he looks so vulnerable. His left eye ( from our perspective) turns yellow, a common theme when showing evil. I believe the real Jalen is still in there, and I hope it takes over the bad side of him or the side trying to possess him before he does something to Silver. Also, Silver is the most adorable thing I've seen.
YOOOO I JUST NOTICED- the expressions of the mouth lean towards the side that is expressing whatever lyric. Like- when his original self expresses pain, tears fall from his side, but the frown is more intense on his side too. That is- SO clEVER and sUBTLE DAMN SIS- 👏

Okay so I love this song to pieces and use it as inspiration for a character arc of my own, and holy cow. This has got to be one of the better animatics for it I've ever seen. That shot of Silver sliding down the banister of the stairs was really well drawn, especially. There was such a sense of purpose and action in this whole thing, and it's great.

This is my very first time watching ANY of your videos. I already love this and love your OC designs. The story was fitting for the nature of this song. I mean come on, Silver is just happy to have found Jalen after he thought Jalen died. Jalen however simply used Silver's emotions to lure him into his trap so he can kill him. That is so messed up and yet, the perfect tragic love story. (You can make it friend wise, but this is a love song, so I'm going with the original song route, lovers with a past)
Edit: How many of us still want Jalen to kiss Silver at the end of the song after watching it at least a dozen times?

I have like a story thing based off this song. Basically, 2 brothers jeremy and Luke who are 5 years apart but really close. Luke gets bitten by a vampire when hes nine and his parents lock him in his room because they are crap parents. Jeremy would sit by lukes door and talk to him and stuff but their parents force jeremy to stop talking to luke. Luke runs away and the parents tell jeremy that luke is dead. Jeremy doesnt belive them and once hes old enough becomes a vampire hunter hoping he'll find luke. After like 5 years with no luck jeremy is convinced that his little brother is dead but he has to continue hunting vampires because his parents wont let him stop. 11 years after luke ran away jeremy finally finds him and is like 'oh my god my little brother is alive and i finally found him' but after 11 years of isolation luke is basically dead inside and hates himself. you get the picture

First of all this is gorgeous! The art - I wish I could draw this well, and I think I _could,_ but the whole knowing that my current art skill is not up to par with the images in my head paralyzes me out of even trying 9/10 of the time.
Second, my take on the ending...the _way_ you ended it, I really don't think Jalen is going to change his mind on his own about shooting Silver. If there's ever a part 2, picking up where this one left off, that trigger is going to be pulled UNLESS something else happens (i.e., Silver says _exactly_ the right thing/someone else finds them there).

SO I had to comment again because I've been rewaching this and it's really incredible. The animation may not be "smooth" in the fact that it's not fully animated, yet you made each frame work for the story and the characters. The characters portray so much emotion that I actually felt worried for Silver when Jalen pulled out the gun. That is not only good animation, that's awesome story-telling and use of emotion. Awesome project, I look forward to seeing what else you produce.

After watching this multiple times, I believe while Silver supposedly believed Jalen was dead, something happened to Jalen, a possible possession? But he hasn't been taken over completely. His 'good' side, or his past self, is trying to take over the 'bad' side, or the possessed side. He is conflicted with himself. At the line "can either of us really ever be free", he looks so vulnerable. His left eye ( from our perspective) turns yellow, a common theme when showing evil. I believe the real Jalen is still in there, and I hope it takes over the bad side of him or the side trying to possess him before he does something to Silver. Also, Silver is the most adorable thing I've seen.

First, I'm reading the count of Monte cristo right now and we just started watching ut in my English class.
