We did Norwegian... Loved 3 days in port but, I was not impressed with the Joy. Too crowded. Hoping to find another NCL cruise to Bermuda on one of the smaller ships. Love the Gem Class ships!!!
Good thing you were able to take this cruise BEFORE the hurricane (Brett) comes into the area. Doesn't look like it'll be super strong, but even a tropical storm can fark up a cruise.
My husband and I were on the cruise with you but didn't have the pleasure of meeting you! My family and I made it to horseshoe beach and ten minutes later the sky opened up and we had to get back on the mini-bus and go back to the ship. Because of the short port time we couldn't go back out in the afternoon when it finally cleared a bit. I agree with you about Carnival and these short port stops!
Bermuda is a Top 5 Island for me. I didn’t realize they allowed shorter stays now.. I think it used to be 2 days minimum. Oh well. I do have some possible illegal sea glass from the old factory.
New to cruising and wondering what is considered a good deal on a cruise. In particular Carnival Mardi Gras 7 day Caribbean cruise. Interior cabin is fine. Thanks!

Just went on my first cruise with carnival and I agree there isn’t enough time at each port with how long it takes to get on and off the ship especially when you there isn’t a dock.
I do want to visit Bermuda at some point. A few fellow cruisers told me it is an EXPENSIVE place to visit! They said think Cayman Island expensive! Doesn't matter, just to see where the movie "The Deep" was filmed at!

Yep. We will only be in Key West from 7:30-1:30 on my cruise next month. I’m wondering if i should even get off of the ship. They should stay in port longer.
With the exception of this itinerary I think Carnival has decent port times. It obviously depends on the itinerary but NCL and MSC seem to have the shortest days and odd times whenever I look at cruises. NCL stops in Alaska are especially short, and they dock at piers that are not convenient.
Jay a shame you didn't have enough time in Bermuda. From the 15 of June thru the 19th is carnival time and there are great events like Raft up to attend. Maybe next time the cruise will stay in Port a bit longer and the weather will cooperate.

We were on the inaugural sailing in a cove balcony like yours. Beautiful ship for sure. Thanks for starting at glass beach, didn’t know where that dirt path went as we used the steps to the road to catch the bus. Next time will walk the path for sure!

Jay, Yer, Bermuda in June can be soggy. Been watching the port cam, and it has been a wet month. Regarding transportation, the 2 day bus and ferry pass was only $27 the last time we were there. We usually ferry one day to St. Georges and one to Hamilton. Of course, best cruise to Bermuda is on a small ship that docks in Hamilton and St. Georges. Have done it on Celebrity when their ships were smaller and on Azamara. Holland America Veendam used to go into Hamilton. Only thing I see available now is on Oceania.

Hi Jay. It was a pleasure meeting you (I had on a black shirt that says Pure Black Nutritional Facts) on the first day before the sail off. You’re so kind. I told my husband I wanted to see you and Lauren. Unfortunately she wasn’t with you 😢Now let’s get to it lol. The food at the marketplace sucked. It literally tasted like cafeteria food. The desserts were better than the food. Other than that it was cool. I love your videos, I love you and Lauren hopefully I’ll see you and her one day. Take it easy ( in my fake French accent 😊)
Oh J, I've been to glass beach and it's gorgeous! Yes, out of the way, maybe a little hard to access...but worth it. Not supposed to take any washed up glass, so I took a pebble instead. Pick up the glass, look and admire it and leave it so other's can enjoy it too.
We were on the Liberty along with your ship. We were there for two days which was great since it rained so hard on Saturday, Sunday was perfect which gave folks plenty of time to go to the beach and see Hamilton before leaving later that day. Yes,we were surprised to see your ship leave so early on Saturday.
You do know you were on a special short 4-day cruise for a new ship? This same ship later on in the season does overnight and multiple overnight cruises to Bermuda! It was a introductory special shortened four-day cruise. And before all you Carnival haters start. I just finished 21 days on NCL. It's not a Carnival thing, it's an honest thing!

He didn’t blame Carnival for the weather. It’s the much too short time in port that he didn’t like. It inhibited further attempts to head out again if the weather cleared up.

No, there isn't. I just looked on the Carnival site, and it is spelled Venezia, unless you were talking about pronunciation, but I would ask an Italian how to pronounce it.
@@elouise5593 there's a t in the pronunciation. On the media day before launch they has a session where the taught the Media and vloggers how to pronounce it.
Carnival Venezia has other sailings with 3 days in Bermuda...as well as others with overnight stays.

NCL did short cruise port times too. One port was 1-6pm the next day would be 8-12pm

Oh Bermuda...how I love thee. Must spend at least 2 1/2 days here. NCL has a great itinerary for Bermuda. It's the only port out of NYC. :)

We visited that glass beach last October and found it to be very small and dirty.
