Calvin of Calvin & Hobbes fame sounds like a Sagittarius child.
As a Sag Sun and Moon….this hit incredibly deep.
Being raised at the tail end of the “Children should be seen and not heard” era….(Altho I know my parents did the best they could.)
But Freedom/Wildness etc were not even part of the vocabulary while growing up.
Quiet/soft/demure/self sacrificing/submissive etc were the acceptable good girl qualities.
I could never understand why I felt like I was suffocating the majority of my life- even though life circumstances over all were relatively great.
At 42- I’m finally, Finally learning how to embrace my Sagittarius side….Freedom/Spontaneity/Adventure/Wildness are becoming my norm and I’ve never been happier.
But talk about people assuming I’m in a full blown midlife crisis 😬😆
Ummm nope- just finally living with some joy, wonder, fun and wildness!

If your 42 it will usually means you are having / about to have Uranus transiting in the sky (currently in Taurus) opposing your natal Uranus which is often linked to the “mid life crisis” stage of life!!
As a Sag I particularly appreciate this video! I'd like to add a little tip. Not every Sag is necessarily typical jupiterian, there are some who are introverted, and travel endlessly everywhere with their fantasy, mind, spirit, soul. If your kid is shy, don't worry. For example, I have Asc ♓️, Venus in ♏️ in the 8th house, Mars in the 12th, Neptune in the 9th house, I was extremely shy as a kid, contemplative, my passion is not traveling around the world or chatting with everybody, I love psychology and astrology, archeology, symbolism, books, Jung, Hillman, Dostoevskij, I was like that since day 1 😂😂😂
And I'm very very sagittarian as well. An important element of our life are animals: we need them, we find connection with them. ❤❤❤

Completely relate as a Sag to this. Where I roam free in the nature and the world is the surf - it's my happy place. When Adam mentions his Daughter after a long day becoming almost philosophical is EXACTLY the same as me if not after a surf, while I'm in the surf waiting for waves between sets. When I'm cranky, I head out for a surf and I come back completely new.
I relate so much. I'm a cancer sun, cap moon, with a Sag daughter... The Wildness gets overwhelming. And I have seen that same anger when I try to quell the unruly, so I've had to learn a balance with her. She's 11 now.
Exactly same here. I am a Cancer sun, Capricorn moon and Virgo rising. My daughter is a Sagittarius sun, Virgo moon and Capricorn rising. She is just a few months old now. I wonder if we will get along well in future. If i can ask, How is ur relationship with ur daughter? I don't know any other cancers with Sagittarius kids.
I am so grateful for this as a Sagittarius rising myself, and Sag sun, Leo rising, Uranus conjunct midheaven son. 😅
Little controlled centaurs start learning to constrain themselves-out of shame-and then they end up bucking restraints off in a self-fulfilling prophecy. I can think of some major “blow up my life” moments with both Sag partners I’ve had, including my kiddo’s father who was raised by two narrow-minded, controlling Taurus parents. I’ve got Jupiter (and Uranus and Neptune) in Sag in the 5th, and joy and freedom are essential philosophical tenets to the balance of my own ecosystem (so many mixed metaphors, but you get it). They nourish a Sag placement’s ability to cosplay “refined” for short periods of time 😂.

@21:41 so spot on. I was just telling myself this the other day. I recognized I am not happy some weeks because I was so busy trying to find satisfaction through consumption rather than producing.
Hats off to you! My mother (Scorpio) was relentless with taming me at an early age. As I get older, I recognize this fire has been suppressed for so long, I didnt even realize it was in me until recently.

Thank you for this video Adam. I’m watching as an adult sag rising and moon with with Uranus and Neptune also in the 1st house. This was spot on for me even now. Reflecting on my childhood I am grateful I grew up with parents who encouraged my wildness and need to explore and roam. My son is sag moon and I see these similar needs for him at times and I too encourage him. Your daughter is so blessed to have conscious parents.
On my second, more focused listening, i gained so much from this contemplation. Thank you!

My boy is Saggitarius in Venus , North Node, and rising ! ( Scorpio sun and mercury ). I totally resonate with the idea of ‘what do I try to make sure he does/ doesn’t become ). Yes he’s wild, unruly , gung ho and volatile as well as risk taking , wild and spirited . Definitely a struggle between the modern world and the natural ; he could do with living on a farm or in the wild and building structures and hunting animals , lighting fires . He loves barefooting in nature and climbing very high trees since very young ! He loves gaming though so really tough as a parent to get that outdoor nature time involved with schooling in the mix .

This is awesome information. I really appreciate you taking the time to share insights on all the signs. I was blessed with 2 Saggitariuses. Not sure why, but my Aquarius self and Scorpion hubby are doing our best to let these wild horses run free with their imaginations and spirit.

This video has been very helpful in helping me understand the sign of Sagittarius. As a Sun in Capricorn with Mars in Sagittarius in the 4th house, the question of repressing wild energy, the nihilism and the anger that can ensue has resonated with me deeply. I found myself identifying with some of the descriptions you shared about your daughter. With years of teaching behind me and a Sag. Son my number 1 advice is, don' t tell any lies, they see right through that. And of course he had a horse (ponies first) and was a natural, but then again, the same happened with sailing, and baseball and swimming. And the freedom of living rural, and going fishing with his friends and swimming in the bay....He is a 'sensible' one though, ith a Cancer Moon. A student with Sag. rising is a singer in a Heavy Metal band and sensibly being Virgo, took singing lessons with me in order not to ruin his voice. I have Mercury in Sag, on top of my MC
This Sagittarius rising/ Sagittarius Moon individual was always quiet.I was born into a loud family so I felt no need to talk. Others seemed to talk for me. I allowed it yet I observed and listened intently. Until I found my own voice. My Sun is in Pisces conjunct my North Node. I did what I was told as a child. South Node in Virgo and Pluto in Virgo showed me the way. I tried to be perfect for everyone. Yet, That fire inside me felt trapped. I also have Neptune @ 0º Sagittarius. I am very philosophical and practically lived in the Library. I explored many interests I was too shy to be on stage when I was a kid. I loved art. I tried photography, I loved crafting things too. I have Uranus on my MC in Libra. I felt guilty when I was a kid roaming free without a care in the world. I received a couple degrees to help refine and redefine myself as a teacher and artist. My ruling planet Jupiter is also in Scorpio. So I felt intensely everything around me too.
Yess ...she gets dark days like that too I've noticed.. but profound philosophy other days

My daughter Ellerie is a sag. Shes 14, and i don't really think shes a kid. I think shes an ancient interdimensional entity capable of shape shifting and bilocation. I'm not joking really. Shes cool though.
