JCB, always looking for a better way. - Авто та транспорт
When we were kids in the early 80s there was one of these loaders parked in a abandoned railway arch for years just at the back of Battersea power station, was an old coal depot that closed down and was left in a time warp with coal still in hoppers we used to sit inside pretending we were operating it then go home with black faces and hands can still remember the distinctive diesel smell, Great times
A machine that was light years ahead of it's time, simply too fast and maneuverable for it's own good.
These were very innovative loaders when they came out
My favourite track loader ever
The JCB114 was/is a real piece of kit for sure
I worked on these Machines when I first started out as a Plant Fitter. They didn’t catch on really overheating problems coupled with Transmission problems were common. Pity really because Bowmaker Cat only offered their 941 at the time with no Traxcavator option so JCB, 110 series looked way ahead of the game.
Thank you for showing this ahead of its time Track Loader. I do like how the Traction drive teeth are BOLTED. Easy change out as they wear.
Jcb was so far ahead it’s a amazing.
Still innovating today
I ve said it before the best and most advanced jcb ever built in the 70s / 80s way ahead of the rest, bring it back please 🙏
I started my apprenticeship working on theses,,
We had international 100 a and 100b s , boss tried a 110 , couldn't believe how fast it was , with in a month we had one , 3 months we had 4 ,
Drivers loved them , comfortable quite, and a HEATER 😂😅😂 it was 1975
We mechanics liked them to, easy to work on ,compared to the internationals
Still got my corgi model😀
I had one too, many years ago. I wish that I still had it.
beautiful video
Great video , I remember these working , way ahead of cat , then cat took note and put the engine out back too
JCB Before CAT
rear engine 953 hydrostatic track loader.
These types of machines wore tracks out quickly to expensive to own .
Most swtched to excavators now .
I ran a 963 and 973 huge power fast . Constant turning wears undercarriage out fast though .
Sand grinds tracks quick here
In 1980s undercarriage cost $30,000 to replace.
That must’ve been a useful machine when it came out. Would be a useful machine today
Wow!!! Was JCB the first to put a engine in the rear?
I drove a 110 about fifty years ago, lovely machine , years ahead of its time, but to look at the hydraulic system on it would give a plumber nightmares, I was always looking at the ground for trails of hydraulic oil😂😂
Still have a running 110. Never touched the hydraulics, just the engine
Why didn't they carry on manufacturing these machines ?
My understanding was they were just too fast for their own good. Undercarriage wore out too quickly, and constant hydraulic leaks from the steel pipework due to vibration. I think it was a case of either putting a shedload more money into them and getting them right or scrapping the concept. We know which option was taken, sadly.
I didn't even know JCB made a track loader, man looks like a cat953
History JCB
Never understood why JCB quit making track loaders they would of knocked cat out of the water but cat has it all wrapped up now.
Demolition Site worker's with No Hard Hats and High Visibility vest, the Health and safety people in 2023 would have a fit.
Super jcb loader 😂😂😂😂😂👍👍👍
Where is it today? Currently only Cat, Liebherr and Deere produce TTLs.
By 1980 all production was ceased.
they don't mock them no more good blog Gary from Crewe
This was years before cat put the engine in the back for counterbalance and better visibility...
👍
Caterpillar won on this type of crawlers.
Too bad that they don't 😢offer a high lift now
I want one of these now
JSB is the worst thing that you trampled on my gardens and broke the fence and the Internet was cut down like this and WHEN you made some pits and ditches and left your tractor in my yard
