Good news. There is a direct bus from majestic to SMVT. The bus number is 300MV and starts from platform 19 in KG/Majestic bus stand. Ticket costs Rs 20 and takes about 40 minutes. Hope it helps
Schedule says 5.45 am to 4 pm. But bus No. 300 to Banaswadi runs upto 10 pm. From Banaswadi SMVT is about 2 km. A short auto ride or if your bag is not heavy 25 to 30 min walk to SMVT is possible.
Kolkata public transport is much better, one can travel by bus to any corner of the city, and people are very helpful, you just name the place and they will tell you the easiest and cheapest way to there.

There is no direct bus from this railway station. It is a better option to go to the nearby bus depot Shivaji Nagar, Majestic. Then you can take the next bus to Electronic City..

Bro it depends on traffic I can't say exact time it is about 10 km maybe it will take more than one hour ticket price about 25 rupees.
