Thanks Sethi! Als not rolled out here in Flanders yet bit excited to play with it. I do believe as well it Will bevolen a full-fledged UA-cam for education in time with more question types. The future is bright
I did not add it to this video as I wanted to keep things short. I might add a gif with more info to the community tab on my channel for further clarification.
Looks wonderful! Looking forward to trying it, but not available in Namibia yet. Anyone have any ideas when they will complete the rollout of this so that we all get it? My students would benefit SO much from this.
For now it only seems to available for Google Workspace for Education Plus editions, formerly G Suite Enterprise for Education, schools/school districts operating Google classrooms Education Plus.
Hi! great video! How did you do the animation of moving your video (of yourself talking in a small circle) flip from one side of the screen to the other? What software do you use for your screencasts? Thanks!
Hi. Thank you for your question. I use Camtasie(see link in description) for my screencasts as it gives me a lot of control over the screencast portion of my videos. I also made some videos on how I use Camtasia for my videos.
Yes! This feature seems to require the "Learning and Teaching Upgrade" to Google workspace for education, that costs around USD$50 per teacher per year.
Thank you for this video. Is there a way to edit the questions and answers after "attaching" it to the google classroom assignment? I accidentally selected the wrong answer as the "correct" answer to one of the questions and now I can't figure out how to fix it. I'm hoping I don't have to go back and re-do all of the questions throughout the video to just fix the one wrong answer.
You should be able to edit your question/answer choice. If I remember correctly, I opened that assignment again to edit and then selected (clicked) that question.
I am a long time NearPod user, but upon retiring I am starting to use Google Classroom in my volunteer teaching. I am excited about this option, but do not see the add questions prompt. When will this be available?
Hi there, thanks for another great video. Our district is interested in joining the pilot for this feature and has asked Google the following question but have not gotten a reply. We are wondering if you might have any insight. Our team of digital learning integrationists at Franklin Public Schools is interested in participating in the pilot for Interactive questions for UA-cam videos in Classroom. However, our technology director is concerned about the requirement that student participants (under 18) obtain parental permission. Can you clarify whether this permission is needed strictly for students to participate in the pilot or will also be required for students to use the feature once fully released? If the interactive questions feature is intended for use by students, we are wondering why there is an age limit and the need for parental permission. Thank you for any clarification you can provide.
From the documentation I've read so far, it seems to be just for the beta program as the product is not generally rolled out. Once rolled out, it will fall under the same condition as the google Workspace for education plus agreements. This may need to be checked once rolled out as UA-cam does not fall under these. However, this is a feature of Google Classroom. Hope this helps. Google will probably provide .ore info on this closer to the general release.
I have the same question as Brain McCarthy..below......I would like to use an avatar..like loomielive but it seems they have stopped this project and now are with Roblox...can you give an update....as loomielive has ok looking avatars....that have face reading software so the avatar talks..camtasia...is there a alternative free editor /recorder out there..that you know does a good job?
This feature requires the LEarning and Teaching Upgrade to Google Workspace for Education. That costs around £40 per teacher per year. Still very cool though.
For me, the option isn't always there for me. Do you know if this is a feature that the publisher can turn off, or is this behind a paywall feature in Google Classroom, like the limit on check plagiarism?
It is part of a rollout with workspace for education plus and teaching and learning upgrade accounts. As this is still in the beta phase, it's possible your network admin has not yet filled out the forms to get access.
Can students edit a wrong answer and still get it marked as correct? If I'm using this to assess learning, I'd like to track which questions most students had trouble with.
You will find a link in the video description here: ua-cam.com/video/Nk9msbGiwPY/v-deo.html Not guaranteed they will add you to the beta though. My school has still not been added. The demo in the video was through one of my training domains. Hopefully soon many more will be added.
I have been playing with this feature for the last few weeks. When I add questions to a YT video there is no indication that the video with questions ever gets saved anywhere so I can reuse it in a different class. I suppose I could reuse the entire assignment to get it, but that seems impractical. Am I missing something?
If the video you use is vreated by someone else and released on youtube, you can not change the content. You can add context and a note on the mistake in your shared post or maybe even frame if as a wuestion at the time in yhe video where the mistake is. Personally, I would check every video used and not use it if the content and information are inaccurate.
Yes similar to other assignment you see each student's responses and can give feedback. You also can have this as a Graded or marked assignment and then this will enter the gradebook as other assignments do.
There's a new feature in Google classroom. That is, teacher can assign videos and insert a question in the video for interactive learning. Is it possible that the questions inserted in the video be modified to 1 attempt only?
I am looking for same answer. I see several videos on UA-cam about this feature and not ONE of them clarifies how to get access to this feature. I even reached out to Google Classroom with zero success.
THANK YOU I have been trying to find someone to explain how to do this for ages
Great to hear you found it helpful!
Is there a way to keep students from skipping ahead to the next question without watching the video snippet leading up to the question?
Did you ever find out? This was something I wondered about too!!
Thanks Sethi! Als not rolled out here in Flanders yet bit excited to play with it. I do believe as well it Will bevolen a full-fledged UA-cam for education in time with more question types. The future is bright
Thanks for the early look! Waiting for this to get to my inbox. Do you have a video showing the teacher's view of the completed assignments?
I did not add it to this video as I wanted to keep things short. I might add a gif with more info to the community tab on my channel for further clarification.

This looks great! Reminds me of Ed puzzle!
Sure does, but fully intergated by Google. It will be interesting to see where they take this.
Thank you for this video. I definitely will be using this feature. Will teachers be able to use their own videos stored on Google Drive?
Hi! great video! How did you do the animation of moving your video (of yourself talking in a small circle) flip from one side of the screen to the other? What software do you use for your screencasts? Thanks!

Do i have to pay to get ADD QUESTIONS button ? Any specific plan I have to subscribe to get that button ?
Yes! This feature seems to require the "Learning and Teaching Upgrade" to Google workspace for education, that costs around USD$50 per teacher per year.
Wondering the same thing because I do not have that button.

Hi... thank you for sharing. My fellow teacher could do it but I cannot. There is no where to add the questions :(
It requires the user to have an Education Plus license assigned. I would check with the school Admin.

The feature is available for Education Plus and teaching and learning upgrade editions. Sadly, it's not on the free version.
Hi, the add question button doesn appear on screen . I don't understand why?
Could you help me fix it, please?
As mentioned in the video. This is a very early look. It is not generally available yet.
@@FlippedClassroomTutorials I was overexcited. That's it. I didn't pay attention. Thnks a lot for quick response.
Haha No worries. Its a great feature and I can't wait for it to fully roll out :-)
Great! Thanks
It's an exciting feature indeed.
August 14, this is still not appearing in my Google Classroom. Why would that be?
It is part of a rollout with workspace for education plus and teaching and learning upgrade accounts. As this is still in the beta phase, it's possible your network admin has not yet filled out the forms to get access.
Can students edit a wrong answer and still get it marked as correct? If I'm using this to assess learning, I'd like to track which questions most students had trouble with.
I can't wait until they role this out! Is there a way to be apart of the BETA program?
You will find a link in the video description here: ua-cam.com/video/Nk9msbGiwPY/v-deo.html Not guaranteed they will add you to the beta though. My school has still not been added. The demo in the video was through one of my training domains. Hopefully soon many more will be added.
Hi, can I embed edpuzzle videos into google classroom? Or id there any other free LMS to dovso? Thanks in advance.
Yes, Edpuzzle even has an add on that's developed for Google Classroom.
I have been playing with this feature for the last few weeks. When I add questions to a YT video there is no indication that the video with questions ever gets saved anywhere so I can reuse it in a different class. I suppose I could reuse the entire assignment to get it, but that seems impractical. Am I missing something?
Is this feature only for paid users of google classroom?
Hey Umm How Do You Change The Text Color In Google Sites Because I Actually Don't Know How Please
I,m sorry I don't have the option "add question"
This has not rolled out yet and will in the coming weeks.
If I load the video and then find a mistake, is there any way to edit it?

Are scores presented and if so do the scores get recorded in google classroom
Yes similar to other assignment you see each student's responses and can give feedback. You also can have this as a Graded or marked assignment and then this will enter the gradebook as other assignments do.
@@FlippedClassroomTutorials Where do teachers access this data?
All is accessed from classroom and the assignment submission page
Thanks, can i take it off the classroom, to share on watsapp
How will these assignments be graded? Will the grade show up in
Google Classroom?
Did you find the answer to this question? I've been trying to figure out how the grades import.
There's a new feature in Google classroom. That is, teacher can assign videos and insert a question in the video for interactive learning. Is it possible that the questions inserted in the video be modified to 1 attempt only?
how do students submit?
Everything is kept within Google Classroom, and the assignment is submitted as any other assugnment within Classroom for ease of use.
Does anyone know how / where to save the sets of questions that you add to these videos so that you can use them in future years?
Ok I found the answer.... When you go to add a new video it is saved under the "My Video Activities: Beta"
❤
Thanks :-) Glad you liked the video
Is anyone else unable to make these assignments now? All I see is "Add Video" and no longer see the function for "Add Questions"...
I am looking for same answer. I see several videos on UA-cam about this feature and not ONE of them clarifies how to get access to this feature. I even reached out to Google Classroom with zero success.
