But in between his sentences he would constantly bite his lower lip, fidget his hands in his pockets, and when he would say things like “everybody knows that” and “everyone agrees with me” he would slow blink and look directly down. It’s clear he lacks self confidence and probably never feels good enough despite working extremely hard to seek others approval. I've been a Russ fan for at least two, maybe two and a half years, so I don't know much about his come up but I've watched him blow up. I can tell you a few things that I've seen as a hip-hop fan about Russ: He rose to prominence from the ground up, the internet definitely helped him find his audience (Check out how he blew up after being on Swagytracks) but he spent about 7 to 8 years grinding in Atlanta and the Southeast before people took notice. Unlike rappers like Desiigner and Lil (Insert name here) who release one album, song, or mixtape and blow up. So he's learned a lot, grinded a lot, and seen a lot of BS in the industry. That being said, he is definitely conceited and arrogant. The man talks about selling out tours without any openers, yet I've been to his show that featured an opener. He talks about how nobody is doing what he's done. That's BS, it's like Lil Dicky saying he's the only one to do comedy rap despite Eminem making comedy songs like My Band in the early 2000s. But at the end of the day Russ makes great music, he's put out more free music than most artist create in their entire career, and he actually seems like a caring guy that takes care of his family. I think the moral of the story is, if you do something for a decade and finally succeed, you'll probably talk yourself up a lot too.

He's still growing and developing, so yeah he's gonna say some things that tick people off. Especially about the industry and other artists. These people won't give you a crumb to propel you forward and I don't like gate keepers either. Russ is consistent with his energy and creates music people like, when he finally gets the capital to "validate" his attitude, everyone will be looking at him like he's a genius. I think he does believe he's great in his own mind but some people have to say it to believe it even if it's to themselves.

I watched an interview where he kept repeating how he doesn’t care and how he’s one of the top most “poppin” rappers. His hands were in his pockets, and his hand only came out to prove a point about himself whenever he would claim how honest and unique and hard working he is. But in between his sentences he would constantly bite his lower lip, fidget his hands in his pockets, and when he would say things like “everybody knows that” and “everyone agrees with me” he would slow blink and look directly down. It’s clear he lacks self confidence and probably never feels good enough despite working extremely hard to seek others approval. I hope he finds that true inner confidence because he is very talented despite his ego

I've been a Russ fan for at least two, maybe two and a half years, so I don't know much about his come up but I've watched him blow up. I can tell you a few things that I've seen as a hip-hop fan about Russ:
He rose to prominence from the ground up, the internet definitely helped him find his audience (Check out how he blew up after being on Swagytracks) but he spent about 7 to 8 years grinding in Atlanta and the Southeast before people took notice. Unlike rappers like Desiigner and Lil (Insert name here) who release one album, song, or mixtape and blow up. So he's learned a lot, grinded a lot, and seen a lot of BS in the industry.
That being said, he is definitely conceited and arrogant. The man talks about selling out tours without any openers, yet I've been to his show that featured an opener. He talks about how nobody is doing what he's done. That's BS, it's like Lil Dicky saying he's the only one to do comedy rap despite Eminem making comedy songs like My Band in the early 2000s.
But at the end of the day Russ makes great music, he's put out more free music than most artist create in their entire career, and he actually seems like a caring guy that takes care of his family. I think the moral of the story is, if you do something for a decade and finally succeed, you'll probably talk yourself up a lot too.

Yes I think what you point out is obvious, I can admire his drive while not jumping on board with certain aspects of his out look . To be gifted and humble is a very hard thing to be for most and remember Russ is still very young . Life may humble him and I believe there is a good heart in there . Like us all he is still growing . If he has a strong solid family and friends foundation this is what matters . I am studying him and his career simply for the formula to his success , I don’t have to agree with everything he is about to appreciate and value his business sense
