I just got notification that issue 36 stages 135 to 138 will be here Monday, Its been sitting under a cover for the last year, started this in spring of 2020. thanks for the videos
Wow. Great to see you back building the Ecto 1. I am so pleased that Fanhome have taken this project on. Got my first pack last week since the eaglemoss mess, & like yourself, forgot where I had got to. Had one problem. I snapped my front grill, but managed to get new parts off ebay. Just waiting for some new Led's from Evan designs, to modify a few parts later on when I get to them.
I'm soooo happy to be back woking on this build. It was 22 months between my last shipment of parts and the ones I received last week. I feel bad for the folks who overreacted and destroyed or otherwise got rid of their incomplete Ecto-1 builds. Patience and perseverance are essential with situations like this one was.
Just completed this issue, also. Thanks to Fanhome we can continue, and complete this beast! Two more issues to go! Good to see you back with the build, Wayne.
I got my first new shipment in over a year and a half a few weeks ago. Sadly, I had to start off at Issue 19 again, because when Eagelmoss sent me that issue their final shipment to me), they neglected to include the wiring harness for the rear and roof lights. So now I have a spare body lying around.
To say you were excited to be finally finishing up on Ecto1 is a understatement. I was the same way with Eleanor. The time off gave me time to research Shelby Mustangs so I could super detail mine. I think she'll be beautiful when done. Good luck with the rest of your build.
I'd just been thinking that I hadn't seen anything about this for ages, checked and there'd just been an update a couple of weeks ago, great to see this continuing, and getting so close to being finished. That siren thing was the last piece to finish my little playmobil ecto 1, I ordered all the parts I'd been missing and that one was missed from the delivery, so it had to be sent on seperately and took a few months more to get to me. Although thinking about it I have a feeling they ended up sending me two of them for some reason. It's been interesting seeing the differences between this car and my one, I would assume the big model is going to be far more accurate. The playmovil one has 6 lights on its front bumper instead of 4, for instance, and in this pack I noticed that mine does not have a light where you put that strobe light thing, I think that is represented with a non-lighting black truncated cone piece, but it sits up behind the siren. Despite its little inaccuracies, though, I am still very happy with my little ecto 1, I remember wondering if I'd have all the pieces to complete it before you finished building this, I think it would have been a fairly close race if not for the delay yours had from the company going under, my one ended up finished ages ago.
Wow, Wayne. I think MIKE LANE MODS makes a mode for this. If I remember correctly, he does. It's a green tube. I don't remember what was in it and ladder for the roof I think that's what it was. Have a great rest of your day Wayne.
Jason Stevensen over at Mr Fusions designs did asimple audriono board mod that slowed down the speed spin of the siren lights. And he eliminated the noise as well
Just as a minor point at 19:00, the 3 AP screws that go into the antenna stand should be white rather than black. Obviously it's up to you whether this is a concern :)
Здравствуйте! Скажите пожалуйста где вы покупаете остальные детали? В нашей стране магазин закрылся 😢 Я хочу купить её в германии или в китае потом отправить в Якутию
Looks Great. I'm since last year may on stage 28.Wish i could go further to,but no delevery's to The Netherlands, maybe end of 24 i hear? I know of forward service's but that would be to costful for me.
Hey Wayne, I started up my ecto-1 sub again thanks to Fanhome. I finally got to attach the bottom and top half of the car but have run into an issue where I seem to have some wires or pins that are shorting the connections. I have a situation where the passenger side tail light (the side without the hoses) will come on and work properly but if I plug in the blue roof spotlights that tail light will go out. And the front ones don't seem to do anything when plugged into their terminal port. I have gotten it that all the roof lights except the 4 blue lights will work fine, the 2 tail lights work proper.. I've been wondering if you have any tips or suggestions. I've been debating 2 different solutions.. 1) I'll be replacing the light bar lights to have rotating LEDs, so I was considering using the ports that were for the motors to power the blue spot lights and just have them come on and be solid blue lights. (This is probably the route with least chance for things to go wrong. 2) I was considering splicing the passenger tail light into the driver tail light connection, and the front blue lights into the rear blue lights (which presumably should make all the lights function properly). I noticed when I plug the passenger lights into the drivers lights the wire connection must be reversed or something as the passenger lights won't light up when plugged into the drivers side lights.. Just curious if you have any tips or ideas as you've built a lot of these models. I have broken the two front blue lights off somehow (I think a wire pulled) and I'll need to glue them back in place and I forgot about the drivers side mirror and did a number on that one too.. So I'm sort of at the point that I think I need to figure out the way to be most happy with this model while risking the least damage.. I wanted to try to take off the interior tray portion and check wires there but couldn't get the steering wheel cap back off (without damaging it), which is my big fear running through this entire model trying to check all wires and connections that more stuff will potentially break in the process.
I went through my wires when I joined both oarts together. I found it much more simpler to take it apart again. Big job but it's a headache having to rewire to.other areas and risk blowing the board from too many amps
Awesome video Wayne. I’m thinking of starting this model in the near future and plan to follow your videos as I build it. Do you know if Fanhome will be selling the proton packs special pack as part of their build? It’s not mentioned on their site as of yet.
Oh man, it's good to be continuing this. Got my first Fanhome stage the other day, continuing the body of mine. Haven't got a chance to build it up yet, though. Can't say I'm a fan of having to put waterslides on, though. I have a bad habit of messing those up. Are you going to be continuing the Enterprise D, as well, Wayne?
It's gnna be asad day as this will be the final Eaglemoss car. If only they opted for weekly instead of online only then that might have bought them some time
Well that was a long time coming. I can't believe it's been a year and a half already. Glad to see it's finally gonna be completed. What other Eaglemoss unfinished models do you have? The Enterprise D, anything else?
@@WorldofWayneUK I hope so? it took long before i received the few parts from Eaglemoss then they closed down . You guys need better screws because I gently use them and they go in a little bit but not all the way like they’re supposed to. The head of the screw easily gets warped to where the screw doesn’t want to screw in completely. I’m building the back to the future DeLorean car and I need better screws that does not do that when you’re trying to put it in correctly.
Eaglemoss really did a horrible design on the Roof lights. How that noise passed the Product Manager, as well as QA (assuming they had one) is beyond me. Speaking as a Product Manager from my previous life - I would have firmly rejected that design! That noise is a show stopper! BUT, Partwork Upgrade has an awesome modification for this!
Hence why Ian Campbell over at Partwork Upgrades did an LED moving siren mode on those lights. Twice he done this mod for us and they look so much better

It should what screws that you used when you did the front roof siren lights
Is the roof rack screen accurate, because my Ecto-1 toy from the 90s had a spinny chair with laser guns on the roof…
Hi Wayne. #133. I think the antenna is in wrong.. Please check.
You've got your holes the wrong way round on the radome buddy. It should sit flush with the mount, not off to one side 🙂👍

I’m doing the DeLorean and Enterprise again. I no longer have the Eleanor
cool
last 2 stages , all decals are applied already

Will fanhome give me the correct front passenger door?
I have no idea I’m afraid
