electrolise an iron can or something into sodium chloride (salt water) keep agetating the solution every 5 min or so till it turns bright brownish red. you can then filter it through a coffee filter. the leftovers will be mainly ferric chloride and sodium chloride. To get the last sodium chloride out mix it with plain water and filter again, repeat for a pure end result. do this in a well ventilated area, and don't stick your nose above it. this stuff is very corrosive

What percent purity ferric chloride do you use? 100% is expensive. I see 43% at $19/gal on Amazon.
where are the photos of finished product. I hate being left hanging. I want to see the results. what color etc. found it in Part two, Beautiful.

You should be able to get ferric chloride at Radio Shack in smaller amounts however.
what about powdered ferric chloride? Have you tried it?
