I saw them in March and I have to say they put on one hell of a damn show. And I absolutely cannot wait to see them again. I was right up front and they engage with the crowd so much.

Absolutely incredible, guys, I believe that this is EXACTLY what a cover should be -
this isn't competing with the original in any way, nor is it a barely recognizable rewrite of the original. There are always exceptions to the rule, no doubt, but this is what I believe a cover really should be; an honest to goodness, true to the very spirit TRIBUTE to the original musicians and their energy & efforts, with the touch of the covering musician's fingerprint.
Hard to find anymore words beyond that, absolutely moving down to the very core. Off the top of my head, for me, this is right there with Flyleaf's little known(and absolutely incredible) cover of Nine Inch Nails - 'Something I Can Never Have', back from when Lacey was still fronting them.
I've been slacking for quite a while now, I think it's about time I pick up my instruments again and get back to work - I have too much of this inside of me that needs to be released into the world.
And, this is exactly what I needed to remind myself of that, a new piece of inspiration and a reminder of what can be created from little more than sound waves, vibrations...

I just heard this cover and i was blown away. So I came to UA-cam to see what others think. Your comment caught my eye and took the words straight from my brain. I couldn't agree more. It's not everyday you hear someone cover Nirvana and do a killer job. I completely agree with your statement how it stays true to the original while putting their own unique spin on it. I really enjoy when bands take a song such as this and take it in a new direction, change the sound and feel of it while paying respects to the original. I love both of these bands. I think Kurt would be pleased with this cover. Keep on rockin my friend.

For the past few days I've been searching desperately for another version of Nirvana's song. None of the covers i found were quite the one but this! As soon as I heard it I knew this is the one! So glad I found this. Guess I'm lucky considering i was about to give up and this was uploaded recently.

This is a really remarkable cover. Such a different direction with aspects staying true to both bands and somehow sounding like neither. Well done.
A Linkin Park cover from you guys would be dope
Not a huge fan but I agree
there are a few linkin park songs that would work well in their style, the difference is linkin park is more based on rhythm than message. 10 Years are more about wordplay and what they can say with their songs than about making frivolous beats to jump with. Shinoda worked in quite a bit of message with it, but you can tell it wasnt the main point of their music.
just look at how they did this song, it is much slower and more somber, based more on the wording than what Kurt Kobain based his style on.
@@N0FoxGiven Linkin Park is one of the reasons I'm still alive. So many of their songs touched me in so many ways that it is because of them I'm still here. Pain, heartache, suffering, suicidal thoughts, and feeling empty. These were the core of many of their songs and may have not had some of the complicated metaphors of other artists but Linkin Park saved so many many people from gruesome fates.
If only we could have saved Chester the way he saved us...

Saw this live in Mohegan sun back in July and sounds like this live. Absolutely amazing guys and very unique cover as well. My favorite band and can't wait to see you in Tennessee at concourse in december

For me, this type of song was what your last album was missing. A really dark, brooding song. And i love it! And live was just as good, if not better!

I'm not sure if I like the softness, to me it sounds awkward. I felt the same with FFDP's "Gone Away" cover, but that's just my opinion.
Basically with a true tribute to an artist a band has to make the song their own. The softness here is used to make this song their owm tribute and not just a direct copy and paste. Same with ffdp. You change the tones, lower the notes make the song your own thing. I only slightly compare them to the originals knowing you have to make an old song new again. If you can enjoy it without thinking about the original tune much you're set

I like the way this cover feels like it is building on the original. This song is originally about being trapped in a prison that looks like love (heart shaped box), so there’s a lot of anger in it, mixed with a kind of wistful “someday I will be free.” The lyric “I’ve got a new complaint” is really more the same dissatisfaction phrased in a new way. In this version it seems more like the narrator knows things are about to end, and is trying to preserve the relationship. The first verse and chorus are a little harsher because they. Are recapping all that has happened. The end of the first chorus is kind of the catalyst, but things soften afterwards as the narrator pleads with their partner in a final desperate attempt to fix the relationship. The final chorus is just as soft, but with a slightly different tone. It feels louder, and the guitars become more prominent, like the narrator is gaining confidence, ready to be on their own at last... This turned out a lot longer than expected

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who was thinking that. They built the suspense well but delayed so long that I was starting to wonder if it would hit that point where it takes off. To be honest, the climax was slightly disappointing
I love you guys but honestly I prefer the original version, I do really like this version as well...It's just the original version is much more powerful and strong which is something I really appreciate and personally am more fond of! this version is just much more calming and soothing, I love the nostalgia factor and sound but that's about it.
would have been cooler to extend the parts more to build it up more
