If you help me get to 100 LIKE"S I will let you know what the final bill was for this job! Thanks in advance, Steve💚
I was in a generous mood I have had lots on (this month) so it was a bonus job.
Total £220✅
£200 For labour and waste I charged separately at £20 for waste approx 2 hippo bags Not over filled plus the bin on the job is full, and don't forget the client is requiring regular maintenance at £60 per maintenance visit fortnightly. But £250 is a good answer/estimate or £300 if you are feeling brave🤣 it was harder than it looked.
It is your choice but your under selling yourself £220 for that tip not chance
@@user-wh3oj5sz1n your right the amount of border work plus trimming all those shrubs and bushes it should be triple that I don’t understand why people like Americans over estimate job prices but people in the uk under estimate jobs and feel guilty if they don’t I mean the amount of damage you do to your body and what you do you should be charging as much as you can why should someone sitting in a office get payed more then you if you can try get as much as a footballer why not lol if I could charge 1000 for that job I would 😂 but then again they say your conning people why because people want to work for peanuts that’s up to them it’s mad
We have all smashed a window once

Now I would charge £250 for the job, maybe £200 last year when I started, but there is such demand out there this year and I am totally full, so no new customers for me now, have no space left.
Good answer mate✅

@@slowmarchingband1 Thanks Mate, that's great !
I have won a few this month/ day jobs one offs at £300 , Gotta use your savvy when estimating for each client.
Definitely. Had one 2 weeks ago, took about 6 hours. Customer gave me £300 upfront, and i ended up giving her £50 back, cos I'm too soft! 😅
Dumb question maybe but what tools/ how did you weed the patio and beds? Just not sure what is easiest.
On my hands and knees in the end. I do like to strim them off if there's not windows neat by. Weeding tool patio weed with handle L shape THING , and long handle hoes a good nice stiff brush and blow off on to the lawn.
Steve 👍
oooph wouldn't catch me watching that kilted gardener bloke...lol

Top work there mate, those beds look like another days work on their own, with the regular fortnightly visits for this job how much time will you be spending there each visit?
2 hours max £30 per hour for me .
Some people are charging £35 or more, I normally charge per hour for weeding so I don't make a mistake , however when I do a price work for weeding I do tend to make more money and you will find you will be working faster so that you can get off home earlier 🤣
Cheers
Steve
Thanks for the reply mate, I just started on my own this year and that’s a good way to manage expectation on jobs like weeding etc, I really like how open/ honesty you are within your videos, there been some great learnings that will help me going forward. Cheers Richard

I charge between £250-£300 per day. People are paying for your value not your time.

A few years ago when I was self employed I charged 50 quid for a eight hour day when I gave quotes they said I was far to expensive. I'm glad it's all behind me I work for a company go do my work and go home no more book work working my arse off picki g materials up ect ect I don't miss it was long days for little pay not worth it when you get half wits out priceing you who don't have a clue. I went collage for three years to obtain my city and guilds at the end of the day your paying for skill and knowledge. All the best being self employed its a hard world out there to make a livable wage
Sounds like you have hit on a super topic for a video, The winters can be a bit of a bore ☺
All the best
Steve
Sounds like you were just bad at running your business? That’s nothing to be ashamed of it’s perfectly fine to work for other people but it’s not everyone else’s fault except yours if you couldn’t make it work.
Did I miss the price🧀 💰🙃
