This looks like fun and I would love to have a weekend to do something like this. But a question for the author: How would you mitigate rainwater flooding in the case of a long rainstorm? Not criticism, just curious.
I think thats what the clay/ mud was for as when it hardens it will probably act like a surface tho if he really worried about rain you could just build a little moat or something where the drained water would go idk

Lol … 15 minutes of digging with a shovel?!? It shows you’ve been digging only in Minecraft 😂 I’d say more like 15 days for the digging, 15 for the wood processing and 15 more for the clay creation and usage…
@@tiberiupaslaru3830 I don't play Minecraft but sure. And I've dug ditches, 6×3×6ft holes, coi ponds, and many other things. I've been digging since I was young, it doesn't take long when there are no roots from trees. Besides, clay isn't hard to dig up
Hey man love the build! But just a couple of tips or suggestions. 1. Coat the edges of each post, and roof piece with a resin or simply char the edges in a fire before putting them in the ground or covering them in mud. Otherwise they will just absorb all that moisture and rot! Another thing to consider is to place a layer of bark in-between the mud and wood for your roofing. Again keeping the wood away from moisture, making it last longer! Still an awesome build tho!! 🤙
I've built my own shelters similar to that out of sticks and stuff and slept in it. but I have never made anything close to that. awesome shelter and wonderful talent!

Why
Riverstones sometimes have water trapped inside them and when exposed to high heat that water is going to transform into steam which in turn causes the stone to expand and blow up, this can also happen to trees and wood

Its incredible seeing how the most important thing for survival is just knowledge and tools. You have my respect.
Imagine the tv show in australia alone and they dont know that this channel exist
well.. and butt-dry pre-cut wood he magically finds in a forest when its raining
edit: apart from that it IS pretty cool

Now this looks like a blast. I’d have so much fun doing this with a couple friends for a week or two.
U are genius and so talented.... ❤❤❤❤
Words cannot express how much I would love to be free to make a woodland home. Instead, I get to live the dream through videos like this.
Sam bro, same. Instead I’m making a story about it, but I still want to!
I'm glad I have a cabin to try this stuff at
Even if you don't get to make a woodland home, I hope you get to spend some time in the great outdoors.
what stops you from going outside and shitting on the pavement or in the bushes or wading into a river and taking a bath . dude are you nuts. i assume you have a warm home, running water and plumbing, electricity. why would you want to spend time in a mud hole with no neccesities and eventually freeze to death
@@an-cx1ho What's your problem? Some people like nature. Apparently you don't, but no one is shitting on you, so why don't you let the guy have his dream? 🤷♀️🤷♀️

Finally a new video! These are probably one of my favorites videos to watch. Just a man building a damn fine shelter with hard work and skills. Happiness in true form!

I love the fact that it had to be this way in order to show us that anything is possible with the least amount of tools
pravda
this is awesome!! 0:45 that tree has a face with a moustache!
The celts are prouds of you !
The fact that he uses real tools and no sticks like those others do make it much more believable!
Believable? Real tools? You do realize that for most of history we didn't have such tools, right? Lol
to be fair, doing it with sticks is more difficult.
@@painexotic3757 I think he's refering to this shelter builder which are building a palace with pool etc. 5x the size of this shelter shown here in this video.. and they only use sticks and stones. Also the fact, that they do produce videos very frequently so it's fairly unbelievable what they are doing -> many people think that they have a whole team in the background helping at gathering the materials etc., also doing stuff in-between the video cuts with other tools than sticks & stones.

Hello
He’s the only real one who doesn’t fake it all
All I can say is great work and thank you. I’m a writer and in my story, the main character was sent to another world and for a few years he was by himself. I had something akin to this in my head but seeing the stuff I see on your channel gives me the actual frame of references needed to properly describe it.
I'd like to read if possible, if you dont mind sharing a link or so?

You are awesome, a lot of people don't know how hard it is to build these shelters. I really want you to have a great day and get more likes and more subscribers:)
doing it alone, only with hand tools is very hard! Only digging all of that dirt is a pain in the butt! Besides that you need knowladge to build it!
Yeah man that’s hard work, I have experience in building shelters because I’m a boyscout who loves this stuff and it takes so much effort
🐞🐞🐞🐞🐞🐞🐞🐞🐞🐞
this hole wont shelter you from anything. its not good for anything
@@an-cx1ho you have never once in your life had to sleep outside with nothing but the clothes on your back, if you have you’d understand this is an amazing shelter that will help you
Such an aesthetically pleasing shelter! Awesome!
I really want to live my life like this. Imagine a whole little village!!!
the world used to be like that until our controlers brought us to "work" since then nature has been destroyed. Our primal instincts are still here by design thanks to nature. Fuck society.
Until you realize the logistical issues 😭 anyways if you really want to why don’t you? I’m sure you could get to something like this pretty quickly/easily
Full of shit and piss after.a month.

This looks like fun and I would love to have a weekend to do something like this. But a question for the author: How would you mitigate rainwater flooding in the case of a long rainstorm? Not criticism, just curious.
was about to ask the same about water going in. maybe he just build it as temporary and not permanent home.
I think thats what the clay/ mud was for as when it hardens it will probably act like a surface tho if he really worried about rain you could just build a little moat or something where the drained water would go idk
love this!!!!!!
Build a lip where the entrance is and around the structure, with a smalloat leading downpath. It'll act as a gutter to lead away
Perhaps build it into the side of a slope, as well
These videos lack a TON of common sense, I've concluded they are FAKE indeed.. he strikes the rocks with his knife edge and even his fire steel with the CUTTING EDGE!!🤣✊️🔥 BUSHCRAFT HOLLYWOOD🤩
Wait he made those mistakes last video not this one 🤣

I Watch a video not long ago talking about how to see a fake primitive building videos, so I was worried about this one. But after ten minutes I see no sign of use of power tools. Good job on the build man! It’s a temporary shelter fit for fantasy adventurers.
that just appeared on my recommendations 😂
How and why tf is he gonna use power tools to dig? A shovel would do this in 15 minutes of digging
Lol … 15 minutes of digging with a shovel?!?
It shows you’ve been digging only in Minecraft 😂
I’d say more like 15 days for the digging, 15 for the wood processing and 15 more for the clay creation and usage…
@@tiberiupaslaru3830 I don't play Minecraft but sure. And I've dug ditches, 6×3×6ft holes, coi ponds, and many other things. I've been digging since I was young, it doesn't take long when there are no roots from trees. Besides, clay isn't hard to dig up
Amazing , really like it it feels me that I am there in this adventure
Finally some one who doesn't fake it! Great video!
He had a crew of people. Someone to draw up blueprints and plans and to tell other people what to do and where to do it. Someone to dig that pit, someone to prepare all those symmetrical pieces of wood, someone to set up all those cameras.
He's just showing himself doing a few seconds of work here and there for the video.
