Winter Wheat Harvest 2024 near Hazelton Kansas | Paplow Harvesting
In this video I am out in a wheat field near Hazelton Kansas with Paplow Harvesting. Paplow is custom harvesting wheat for a farmer in the Hazelton area and in this field they are running two Case IH 8260 & two Case IH 8250 combines with MacDon FD254 draper heads. Also in the video you will see one of Paplows Case IH 340 Magnum Tractors pullings an Elmers 1300 Haulmaster grain cart and some of their semi trucks and grain trailers.
I shot this video June 9, 2024 and over the past few years have done several wheat harvest videos with the Paplow Harvesting Crew.

I’ve noticed some of the wheat guys run with the reels almost all the way forward and quite a ways down, even in good standing wheat. Anybody have a reason why? Seems like they would be risking some header loss doing that. Years ago, with auger heads, the rule was always back and up in good standing wheat.
