jesus christ is so fast its scaring me, especially when tenors go magnitudinis eius
Jonny Fraleigh it gets easier I'm singing this in my mixed choir we have two tenors
Have to do this for choir this year, it's insane
good luck man. Make sure to know where to breathe
I was a tenor in this song!!! It’s the best part!
Na that the best part along with the ending to sing
my college choir of 50 people are attempting this song. But, one of the local high schools did it last year and they set the bar so high for that song. im a tenor, and have been singing for close to 8 years. im still stuggeling with parts.
Taking this on for my high school ensemble sophomore year
Our seventh grade choir sung this in a festival and won platinum!!!!! I just wish we could sing it again 😭
Trying to learn this song now. We perform in one month. Y’all do it well!
Love the echo at the end so amazing the sound sends good chills down my spine
My 8th-7th grade choir is singing this, its fun and now i dont find it as hard as i thought itd be.
I SANG THIS IN 7/8 CHOIR TOO
+Milan Patel
Same! It was awesome!
This song is so much fun to sing!
I will be singing in the 2012 Mississippi All State Youth Choir. I hope we sing this song
My ninth grade choir is singing this. I feel very intimidated now... 😳
Hannah Hatfield 10th we have 6 boys 😳
A very talented choir. The emphasis on pronouncing the lyrics in staccato is great. My only criticism is the lack of volume progression throughout the piece. It didn't feel like the piece built toward a finish. But they obviously were all very talented, group, director, and all :-)
The first version I've found where the ensemble hasn't made the 'la's staccato. Thank you. lol I love it!
You can take the choir girl out of choir..... But not the choir.... Still rocking out to this! Great!
I'm scared because I just figured out seventh grade choir is singing this
LimaNiner420 same
What middle school did y'all go to where youre doing beginners college level music??
Bro I'm in 7th grade and I just sang this for a concert lmao. But our chorus is amazing.
Sn0w CrAB my advanced mixed high school Choir did it, they got Superior ratings
I did this song in 6th grade
Were learning this right now in Chorale I love it!
They're amazing. one thing though... why do the cameras focus on the "errors" that the singers make..?
Sounds so good!
great job to this choir! i loved listening to it :)
That was a fantastic job!
Singing the SSA version in choir. I don't know how we're going to get the 32nd notes on the second page.
We found the same video!
Whoa!
Lindsay Paris hope you guys had fun huehuehue
@skAtexxliFe my highschool is too! I'm in a selective choir and we are going to sing this-- it looks difficult but well worth it!
Singing this for choir
that sounds nice
someone can send me an email the sheet music for choir
Eliezer Dominguez still need it ?
@kennyTaboada1 Faster isn't always better o.o
1:39
i did it in one with only 9 people, still worked though :)
and gosh why are they so stiff when they stand
expecially when you dont know the words or how to pronounce them
this is good but so monotone and emotionless COME ON YOUR PRAISING GOD
im sorry but i just cant get into this song
1:06 Dude looks like a dog with peanut butter stuck on the roof of his mouth
Bruh 🤣🤣🤣🤣
To all the people intimidated by the song, the honors choir that I'm in at my high school is doing this, although the tempo is a little difficult, all it takes is a little focus. When eventually all parts are put together it's a beautiful peace! So good luck to all that do this song! You're going to do great!
my accappella choir did this and it's our fav piece of the year!
Omg we’re doing this song for a competitionnnn
@@miaavila9267 good luck! I did this song last year and we got sweepstakes for UIL
Their vowels could be better but I love the dynamics
Since we sing this on our choir, tenors are not tenors anymore. They are terrors.
So proud to be singing this as a soprano with my Choir this year.
Their vowels make me so mad!PUCKER THEM LIPS OUT! SHOW EXPRESSION!
I graduated high school in 1999 we sang this my junior or senior year and I still remember the words I LOVE IT GREAT JOB MY MISSISSIPPI REPRESENTING
I sang this song last year in 7/8 grade mixed choir it was an amazing song and it got us 1st place at a competition
Our whole high school (which is about a fourth of the size of this choir) sang this last year and totally rocked it. It was so awesome.
vowels and dynamics could be better
I so badly wish my choir would sing this ..
My choir is learning this now and everyone loves it. I listened to this and cried. I LOVE THIS SONG.
Our choir sang this at Southern Star Festival of Music and won Golden Rating. The judges loved it, it's a powerful performance when sung correctly, like these All-State singers did
Im in an all girls chior and we are doing this and sorry to say we sound so much better
I live in Mississippi and this is one of the songs that the choir sings :D
Their vowels could be WAAAY taller, but not bad for a middle school choir!
This is not a middle school choir. It's composed of 9th-12th graders.
I did this for all county, and the first time we ran through it all together so the director could see what we have to fix, and we all gave up on the ending and he just stopped us and was like "Okay that's definitely something we need to fix"
MAGNIFICENT ! 👏👏👏💥🦾
Wished it was longer ! 🤗🤗🤗🙏🕊️
YOU GUYS ARE FABULOUS!!!!
I am a member of a middle school choir doing this, and we're pretty good, but you guys are so much better!!!! Congratulations!
This remindse of Harry potter and sky rim so much
Very nice job. However, I would have expected a choir of this caliber to sing all the notes! Most, if not all of the 'la la la's" were truncated (cut short) at the end of the measures preceding a new phrase. I'm sure you could have done it, but I guess your director didn't want to take any chances.
It's not a hard song to learn, but they did a good job.
*PUT ON THE WHOLE* *ARMOUR OF GOD, THAT* *YE MAY BE ABLE TO* *STAND AGAINST THE* *WILES OF THE DEVIL*
Perforrmed it yesterday in my school choir, it's just amazing! (ofc not even close to their quality :D)
1:04 You know there are only three non-whites in this choir. They zoomed in on all three. There are several videos of the black baptist church in Clinton Mississippi. I guess what you're commenting on is self segregation which is people prefering their own race over another subconsciously. I know a lot of these people here and if you ask them if they are racist they will say no. If you ask them if they prefer their own race they will say no. However if you go to a black church..continued
It's so much better to have a mixed choir... It's so difficult to sing this song when you're in a women's choir.
great choir. but the awkward part is they looked like they didn't want to be there. exciting song, but doesn't show it on their faces. our choir's singing this. wonder when we're gonna memorize this haha.
Well... Im sorry to say, but honestly, my highschool alone can do better than this.. And dont get me started on our all state choir (;
#TEXAS
The only thing I could say about this is that it needs more bass. This doesn't even trigger my sub-woofer. This should be breaking apart my house.
Holy crap this is gonna be fast. o.o Our choir is fairly small.. But we're really good. So.. Idk how this is gonna work out.. o.o
@kennyTaboada1 I'm betting, 1. You aren't going faster, 2. Your diction is off, and 3. You won't post a video.
did this song 2 years ago. still the best song iv'e ever sing
My god...my choir is singing this..we're in 8th grade...and we're taking this to a ACDA competition. Wonderful. If only we sound like this
@kennyTaboada1 i believe you. your grammer proves you are indeed in middle school.
Majestic !! 👏💥💯💪
i have to sing this and were way better and we r in middle school and r faster
We got straight superiors in both district and states with this song last year
My school is doing this xD I CANT PRONOUNCE THE WORDS RIGHT! XD
I love this song! Our choir sung this piece my senior year back in 2011.
I DUN WANNA SING THE SOPRANO PART FOR CHOIR AT SCHOOL! D:
Que hermosa cancion me hizo reflexionar
were doin this song but we only have like 60 ppl
This is an amazing song. it makes my day everytime i hear it. An amazing choir also. Great Job!
I did this piece this year
@SophieKittenfat so r we and good luck
extremely fast..
@TheCanvasAssassin Sup Memebase.
Nice Latin pronunciation (Not).
this song is as hard as garbage
This is the wrong song
find the black guy
XD
I was supposed to go to the District Choir Highschool Mixed Chorus last saturday as bass, but because of snow... didn't get to go 😢😧
terrible
I miss this song. We did this song last year followed by the theme from star wars with a choreographed light saber fight. CONCERT OF COLLOSALNESS. Amazingly done though. Good job!
Seems like a lot of people are here because they're learning it in choir. And I'm one of them. This... should be quite interesting...
good :D
lol @ the chick at 1:09 who messed up
If you knew the song, you would know that she didn't mess up .....
Austin Howard If you watched the video, you would know she messed up...
Luster SoIdier She didn't mess up. This part of the song is perfomed by Alto's and Basses, she must be a Soprano, Sopranos and Tenors get the other part. She probably thought it was her part (It's kinda easy to get lost) and was about to sing, she didn't mess up though.
She messed up. It doesn't really look like she was just wording it with her mouth, it looks like she legitimately sang during that part, realized her mistake, then stopped.
Welp, fuck.
Damn! My choir just sang this for our concert but we couldn't get the last "Lau-daute-dominum" in synch so it sounded kind of bad
My Choir performed this recently, and I was actually in charge of teaching my section (the Basses) the Latin words and how to pronounce them! It was an awesome song to perform.
@TheCanvasAssassin I learned it in high school and I thanked god that I was a bass. Tenors have a REALLY hard part. We learned it first slow and slowly increased the tempo. We did it as a festival piece and got top scores across the board for it when I was in high school.
@TheCanvasAssassin le gasp!!!! i kno right!? XD
my school advance choir is doing the same thing haha wich i am in xD
My high school choir is singing this. I think it's such a cool song, but my class is made up of a bunch of idiots and they all think it's a weird song.
My chamber choir is doing this. We have 2 sopranos 2 altos 3 tenors and 2 Bass. It's a after school course.
My choir is doing this for a competition I hope we sound this good, but we only have 3 bass' and 1 tenor :p
0:27 started memorizing this today for choir... that's as far as we are. More practice tomorrow.
BTW, high school choirs freaking out about this? We're a middle school choir. MIDDLE school. Seriously. :/
My advanced choir in my school is singing this and I am I the 6th grade, and I’m a tennar
daaaang that was like 1.5 times faster than our a capella choir, we're practicing it at the moment...
wow my high school choir did this i hope to do it with them this up coming year but i really love the staccato on the hallelujah at the end we usually carry it across but i love it either way
Our HS's Concert Choir's trying this! GOD HELP US - so fast!!!
Great job! I sang this song at Allstate in 2000, and absolutely love it! This sounds awesome
