Thanks for all this helpful info Sydney! Is the VITA required for all applicants or just those who have been invited for an interview? Also, regarding interviews, do you think it is acceptable to reuse anecdotes from your secondaries or is it better to have new stories? Lastly, I would live to see more videos on virtual interviews. This is so brand new and many of us have no idea what it will be like! Again, thank you for all the effort you put into these videos! We really appreciate it!
Hi Amar, of course! I believe VITA is required for applicants that've been selected by the participating school for an interview (students-residents.aamc.org/applying-medical-school/article/eligibility-and-invitation-interview/). The list of schools requiring VITA this year (students-residents.aamc.org/applying-medical-school/article/medical-schools-participating-aamc-video-interview/), and AAMC recommended to contact the school if you had any questions specific to schools. I think it's okay to say the stories you mentioned in secondaries! You can explain it more in detail/emphasize certain parts, esp if it shows your theme, during your interview. Whatever is a strong talking both, new or old story, is fair game. I know!! There's so many moving parts, but you guys are troopers for sure. I'll try to incorporate some virtual pointers in upcoming vids - thanks for the suggestion and support :-)
@@TanoHuynh of course! and no, I don't. When you plan on taking it, I'd suggest reading at the site to get familiar with the exam format, looking at sample questions and responses online to get a feel of how to answer, and then taking the provided practice CASPer exam once you feel ready! I'd also get used to answering and typing your responses with time pressure to stimulate the real thing. For scheduling, I suggest scheduling your CASPer test after you submit your primary app but before you start to receive secondaries. :-)
Why are you popping up in my history I did not watch you and with a thumbs-up at that this is ridiculous whoever's doing this please stop
