Thanks for joining me on this journey everyone. It was such an amazing week and I made so many memories I will never forget. I’m sure I will be back across the pond soon to make more videos and memories. Thanks for all the support on these videos and the rapid growth of my channel. It means more than the world. Gonna take a break from UA-cam for a few days so I’ll see you all when I get back.

Lads, at your age a week was right as you weren't sure what you were going to see or do.
Now you know make sure your next visit here is longer. I hope you'll fit Nottingham into your schedule as Robin Hood will want to show you around our great city and up to Sherwood forest. 😂

Enjoy the break after all that editing! Would love a vid from you and Will on your reflections of the trip if you were interested in doing that, sounds like you had a great time overall (and hopefully you were totally put off Scotland and would be up for a repeat visit, maybe Radio Forth and Radio Clyde could try and equal the excellent hospitality YO1 showed you!)

For example, a bread appetiser in restaurants is normally broken by hand and dipped, in say, olive oil/balsamic vinegar. Pizzas are nornally eaten by hand. Plenty of finger food is eaten by hand. Burgers, Kebabs, Fried chicken etc . The list is extensive.

Never will I tire of watching these videos, its sheer enjoyment, no bad language, manners, actions and from young fellas too its is quite miraculous! Talking manners though, maybe watch how we use our cutlery, don't fold your meat up like you are building a tower, use your knife to cut the meat and add to same what is on plate. Keep yorkshire pud on plate when it is with a meal and again add the food surrounding it to a piece of the yorkshire you have cut off! The holding in the hand bit is done when a yorkshire is sold 'on the street'! All your meals looked fab, especially the fish and chips with the exception that in the North West of England the fish would be cod not haddock. Mushy peas?? Oh these are a definite, lol, spread on slice of bread and butter with a couple of chips - bliss !! Come back soon boys and at some point make sure you visit an indoor northern food market - brilliant!

The guys from YO1 Radio really looked after you, which was great to see and they made you very welcome. Before your U.K. visit Joel, I have to admit to only watching your vlogs intermittently, but when I heard that you were coming to the U.K., I wanted to see if it met with your expectations. Now your visit has come to an end, it seems to have exceeded them. Come for two weeks next time and see so much more. I feel as if I’ve really got to know you so much better and both you and Will come across as thoroughly nice guys who also happen to be incredibly polite. Your parents must be very proud.

Great way to end, that Sunday Roast looked great, and well done to YO1 radio for looking after the boys. I think you can some more videos out of the trip though, if you and Will reflect on what you noticed about differences between the UK and US, perhaps weather, trains, shops, pubs, night clubs and the people you met, all those different accents. Talk about them and illustrate with clips where you can. Well done and come back soon.

Joel and Will are, despite their young age, the best mannered US Americans I have seen on UA-cam. Whilst their visit to the UK was too short they took in parts of our islands that few American visitors have experienced.
Whilst there is much more of the British Isles and Eire to explore, given their limited vacation time and expensive air fares their next trip should be to anywhere else in Europe; France, Germany, Italy etc.
Living in Southern England it is common to drive, via Eurotunnel or ferries, for a fortnight vacation, day trip or long weekend in Europe. Some of us even frequently vacation in America or occasionally spend a fun weekend Christmas shopping in New York in December.

I get my UK fix watching Escape To The Country on TV UA-cam. We get so much great British TV here and eat similar food. Oh the Sunday roast my grandmother, my mother and I still cook sometimes. Might the vids again😊

i'm an old guy in UK, When as a lad i visited Yorkshire, my aunt was a Yorkshire 'lass' when i visited he for Sunday lunch, , the true Yorkshire pudding was always flat and served with gravy, and served first, before the roast meal, i asked why, she told me that it was to 'fill you up' before the roast part, as meat was expensive then, so you didn't need much meat, as the Yorkshire pudding filled you up.

After your experiences in Scotland, I'm so pleased your trip ended on a high note.
Shout out to YO1 and the people of York for making you boys so welcome.
As a rule, we don't tend to use our hands when eating Sunday dinner (unless you're mopping up the left-over gravy on your plate with a slice of bread), but a good host will always make exceptions for a guest! Your roast looked really good, and it's great that you both enjoyed it - Our cuisine doesn't deserve the poor reputation it often has abroad...

@@marycarver1542 Are you expecting me to believe you eat fresh fruit, chocolate bars, a bag of chips, and biscuits, etc. with a knife and fork?
Whilst I agree, the American way of using cutlery looks clumsy and inefficient, if that's their way, then it's their way.
Remember our own way of using tableware grew out of simple snobbery, with the noble houses of Britain and Europe attempting to outdo each other in attempts to appear more cultured and refined.
I shudder to think how you must feel watching someone use chopsticks...

It does look a bit awkward how they use cutlery but using hands for food isn't that odd in the UK nor in many cultures around the world. It's really not that shocking.
We have burgers in Britain too, hot dogs, wraps, toast, pizza, baguettes/rolls/buns/sandwiches, fruit, naan bread alongside a curry, pasties, sausage rolls and so on that surely almost everyone eats with their hands. So you must have seen people eat with their hands loads of times 🤔
