Looks like Todd is left-pawed. I never realized a dog can also have a dominant "hand." My Golden Retriever, Mango, is left-pawed. I could never understand why I couldn't get her to shake and someone told me to try it with her left paw and it worked.
My Lab knows “paw” and “other paw”.
I regret teaching “paw” to my GSD, because she uses it to get my attention.
I just looked it up, and dogs do have a dominant paw that varies, like we do with hands. I never knew that. Now I’ve learned my new thing for the day, and I can go back to bed. Thx!
Addit: Your Golden is named Mango? Do you happen to live near/in Pt. Loma? I met a Mango with her dog sitter at Dana School. Mango didn’t want to leave my side. The next week, I met her again, with her dad and her human sister, and found out that the woman we’d previously met was the dog sitter (she pretended to be Mango’s owner, but didn’t answer my question about how she kept Mango’s coat looking so perfect).

@SuziQ. with my first Golden Retriever, I'd play game with him I made up called "dis one dat one." I'd say "dis one, " and he would give me his right paw. Then I'd say "now dat one," and he would give me his left paw. He would keep whatever paw on my lap until I told him to give me the other one. I miss that big goof.
@@chicken7418He’s maybe 3 and a half. I saw some old YT videos of Tucker when he was only a pup and they are dated about 3 to 4 years ago. With that being said I think she got him mid to late 2020.

They are beyond awesome
It's great that they're trained so well. I'm a groomer and some dogs are pure chaos when you try to grind their nails. But there's good ones too. Even my own dogs don't like to have them ground.

I've got something similar for my dog (Jack Russell) and it has made claw care growlies a thing of the past! People used to complain about his "dagger claws" but I haven't had a complaint in months. Tucker and Todd are so gorgeous with their smooth coats too. I brush Hugo almost daily but it never lasts 😂
