Thankyou, very good explanation. I believe I’ve got 2 issues with mine. The float level is high and the left side primary choke isn’t working properly. 👍👍
I need that repair manual! I’ve bought 2 and what little I saw of yours blows mine out of the water! Do you have a pic or info on the float bowl vent valve or outer vent control valve?
If the flow from the gas tank is restricted, that would cause it to die. Check fuel filter, remove gas cap for possible vent being plugged, check fuel pump flow
Mine was doing this and it was a stuck float causing it to overflow fuel into the manifold and drowning the engine. The clue was it would be fine on a cold engine that had been left overnight but would become worse and worse through the day as more and more fuel flooded into the manifold. After revving the engine and having it stall out, look for fuel vapour rising around the carb throats; that would indicate too much fuel going into the engine. If you don't see that, it's the opposite; not enough fuel.
Backfire would be a lean condition, possibly from poor fuel pressure or stopped up filter. Also if the distributor cap has moisture. Make sure it has a good tune up. If any of the plug wires have corrosion that will cause problems. If the float is too high it will run rich and have black smoke from tail pipe. The spark plugs will be black with soot too.
I had a stuck float valve that was filling to the top and overflowing, it was bogging. I think the accelerator pump was submerged and couldn't work properly.

Page FU 15 huh😂😂😂.Author of that manual 💯planed that one out. All jokes aside, Great video. I have an 1987 22r and appreciate this information.
Good man, good video! God bless! 🙏
Thank you for helpful video

You're my hero
Thanks.
great video...i just bought one and it runs fine at idle but when you try to rev it, it bogs
The accelerator pump provides a squirter each time the pedal is pressed. If it is not squirting it will bog. Also many other things tune up related
Try turning the fuel mixture screw out a little to make it richer.

Could this cause a 22r to start perfectly fine, idle good for about 5-20 seconds, and then proceeds to die unless you actively engage the gas pedal?

Can the goat being to high make it back fire beside making it bog down?

Me podrás pasar la imagen del diagrama para nivelar el flotador de ese tipo de carburador

Thanks
Las medidas de calibracion?
bajado es 48 mm
elevado es de 9.8 mm
@@chriskolar gracias. Y las vueltas del tornillo de aire. Perdona? Esque me carburador esta descontrolado y huele a gasolina cruda
