So many options lol, I think that you are going about it the right way. You are not in any rush and you are not cutting any corners. You'll be the one standing back when it's done and being really proud of what you have ended up with. Your home. 👌❤️
Thank you so much 😊 nice to know you can see our process and that it's about getting things done well and to how we want them rather than just speeding through everything! 😅 Have a good weekend ♥️♥️
Who'd a thunk it? Amazing what you can do with a bit of vinegar and wire wool lol ...wonder how the first person to try it came up with the recipe! lol Looking very nice either way :)
I love the channel. Im just getting started on my little reno in Italy. Looking forward to it. Ive learned so much about details from you guys. Nothingcwrong with slow and steady. Im hoping to have the old bricks in the ceilings exposed.
The vinegar/steel method works best on wood species that have a high level of tannins in them. Oak, for example. It's harder to get that effect on pine and relatives, but it clearly can work.
Money motivated? If you could tell me how we're earning money I'd be delighted to know? I (Becci) take five hours out of my working week to edit these videos...which we make about €50-€100 a week on, if that. For us, making this content is about sharing our progress with people who appreciate the restoration of old buildings and for our family and friends to follow along. Apologies if this is slow but Michael's doing all of this work himself. It's laughable you think we're taking time doing them to try and make more videos and money... We're actually conscious people don't want to see more beam installations which is why the focus of this video was on this method we've tried to age them. But, hey, you can't please everyone 🙂 wishing you a great day!

Haha, I know!! "This seems like a good idea" 😅 maybe they spilt a bottle of vinegar on some wood they'd left some wire wool on? 🤣 Thank you ♥️♥️

Oh interesting! Thanks for sharing. We're quite happy with how it's working on these but we'll see how it goes 😊
this must be slowest ever replacement of a few beams, when will you install and move to next stage?
I was thinking the same thing. Too much talking, very little work.
@@jerrywoodlee2345 its a shame,just money motivated,content suffers

When he’s ready. If you don’t want to watch, move on.
@@PortugalonaPostcardA very well measured response. I’m a Yorkshire lass too and I don’t think mine would have been so.
Prenez de l écorce de noix pour faire de la couleur
Ooo interesting... Thank you!! 😊
Voce precisa de um ajudante.. "Brasil"
Eu tenho uma gata?! 😅 Obrigado!
Michael is there a reason you have shaped the beams on the top side as well as the bottom ?
We're putting the floorboards on the top so you will see each corner...and we wanted to choose each side so it made it easier 😊
