Daniel 12:12 is now part of my prayer. Daniel also deals with pre-trib lie. Daniel 12:13 "But you, go your way till the end; for you shall rest, and will arise to your inheritance at the end of the days.” Here we see at the end of great tribulation and before the wrath of God Daniel will rise (resurrection of the dead first and then the living follow in rapture)

We must allow God's word to interpret the name of Israel. What you are saying is completely correct. I am in the medical field and part of our training is how to handle emergency situations. When you gave a rapid response in the hospital or a Code Blue and of course events such as the one we are now experiencing with COVID- you have to remain calm so that you can effectively deal with the situation. In my early years as a Christian I was taught (and therefore believed and taught) the "Pre-trib" view of the rapture etc. After much prayerful study and research of my own, I find a much different scenario laid out in the Bible. Compared to what I hear you saying, it sounds like I am somewhere in the between. I made a rudimentary powerpoint and I am sharing it with you primarily for 2 reasons: 1. To share findings with you that you may have not seen yet. 2. To get insight from you, if you find that I am misunderstanding what I am seeing in scripture. I understand you may have much on your plate, and I will not be offended if you don't respond; however, it would be wonderful to have someone knowledgeable to bounce things back and forth with regarding our Lord's return. (The more knowledgeable friends I have are stuck on pre-trib.....so it's hard to have open and honest dialoge that is fruitful.....although I still try. Blessings to you and thanks again!

*For those unfamiliar with the case for Satan being the mystery Restrainer...* *2 Thes 2v7...* "....Now he who *restrains* will do so until he is taken out of the way" We often approach this subject with the presupposition of "restrainer of anti-christ" in mind. Scripture actually doesn't use this term. Scripture doesn't explicitly state either that this mystery "restrainer" is the Holy Spirit, Church or Michael etc. All these views are of course quite widely held by believers. In Daniel 10, Daniel prays and he is heard immediately and the Angel is sent forth at once but the fallen demonic powers in the heavenlies resist and restrain the Angel for 21 days until Michael intervenes. In Revelation 12v7-9 we see Michael again casting down Satan and the demonic powers to earth. Notice what happens in the very next verse... 10 THEN I heard a loud voice in heaven say *NOW* have come the SALVATION and the POWER and the KINGDOM OF OUR GOD, and the AUTHORITY OF HIS MESSIAH for the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down. i.e. Satan, the *restrainer* of Gods Salvation, Power, Kingdom and Authority is now cast down from his *restraining place* in the heavenlies and hurled down to earth. He's then forced to take up residence in a man's body, the last thing that he wants. This happens at the 3 1/2 year point so a completely "Open Heaven" is there now for the Saints, the restraning demonic forces are out of the way and unpresedented Power, Salvation and Authority is now made available. It will truly be the Church's finest hour. We think the devil wants to take over and take the stage etc, its the last thing satan wants, he wants to remain hidden, he's furious and exposed now *knowing* his time is short. So considering now the same verse... *2 Thes 2v7...* ....Now he (satan) who restrains (Gods Power, Salvation, Kingdom and Authority) will do so *until* he (satan) is taken (literally forced) out of the way (by Michael in the midst of the week) So instead of "Good restraining the Evil" its in effect "Evil restraning the Good" until Michael casts the Evil restrainer down and out. I'd always been taught that the Church and the Holy Spirit were restraining evil from taking over. But after hearing Reggie it just seemed to make so much more sense. I've been arguing this for awhile, the bible is literature and therefore we also must follow the literary rules. A metaphor isn't whatever you want it to be. It is a comparison between two ideas which meaning has nothing to do with the literal interpretation. In other words the word day can not be metaphorical. No word can be metaphorical until placed into a sentence that points to it's metaphorical nature.

The resurrection talked about in Daniel 12:3 is speaking of the second resurrection, as some are raised to judgment. In the first resurrection all are raised to glory, none to judgment. So events in Daniel 12 seem to be at end of millenium it seems to me

You think we are this generation, don't you? I am so full of emotion these past couple of days and am finding it hard to move forward. I have been cut off from so much, here in my little U.S. town as I watch everything around me implode. I know this is tiny compared to what is coming and what the Israelites are going to suffer. I feel overwhelmed with emotional pain at the thought of what they will endure. I know their final outcome will be as the crown of all Nations, yet I am so full of grief at this very moment. I guess I am processing it all first, as you have suggested, and then I will be prepared to play whatever tiny little part Yah deems I could possible handle in the advancement of His Kingdom - not that he needs me to advance anything He so wills. I was searching for something to help me get started today and this is where I landed. I am trusting His plan.

Example of profecy saying Jerusalem will wander in the wilderness for 40 days but it ended up being 40 years. Does that principle apply here 1260 days?
I agree with everything you say here on Dan 12 as being a future event. However, I disagree with the notion that “Israel” is solely the Jewish people. Israel and Judah are two separate groups that Yeshua will reunite, restore, and regather. Jer 31, Ezek 37, and Heb 8 as well as several others. As a whole, as one united Israel, Peter quotes Moses in the Torah, and Paul quotes the prophet Hosea when talking about only the scattered lost sheep of the house of Israel. Which was the kingdom that was divorced from God after it was all split. Judah was never divorced.

It say’s “And at that time” not, “At that time” signifying a span of time from an earlier verse such as 11:21. This helps show that “the time of Jacob’s trouble occurs at the time of the great global tribulation of the saints.
Michael stands up for Israel against Satan in the time of the antichrist, the beast. Compare that with Jude... Jude 1:9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee. and compare... Revelation 12:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. So, we see that Michael was under the authority of Satan at the time of Jude’s remembrance. And had been promoted by the time of Revelation 12:7.
The combination of the last two long prophetic periods of time (1290 years and 1350 years) found in the book of Daniel 12:11-12 leads to the year 2027: According to Daniel 12:11, from the time that the daily sacrifice was abolished (which took place in 599 BC when Nebuchadnezzar invaded Jerusalem) until another abomination of desolation, was to be 1,290 years. This period ended in 692 AD when the Dome of the Rock was built on the temple site. Immediately after Daniel was told about 1290 years, another long prophetic period of 1335 years was added to the previous one: “Blessed is the one who waits for and reaches the end of the 1,335 days” (Daniel 12:12). Adding 1,335 years to the previous period of 1,290 years (or counting 1335 years from 692 AD), leads us to the year 2027! It looks reasonable that 1335 years, instead of overlapping the 1290-year period, should be added to it. It makes sense as according to the context, these two verses (Daniel 12:11-12) deal with the very end of the world’s history, and when we add these two long prophetic periods, the date we receive actually embraces the end-time events, possibly including the second advent! The answer was given to Daniel's question about how everything would end. Another reason to believe that Daniel 12:11-12 points to the end-time events is the fact that these are the last verses of the book of Daniel and therefore should refer to the time of the second advent instead of 1843 which, unlike 1844, doesn't seem to make much sense. Also according to the statements provided by the Spirit of Prophecy, the 6000 years of the world’s history should end in 2027: In her writings, Ellen White repeatedly stated that this world in its sinful state and under the rulership of Satan (from the fall of Adam till the second coming of Christ) was to last 6000 years. In the book Confrontation, p. 32.1, she adds that “Christ, in the wilderness of temptation (it took place immediately after His baptism, in 27 AD) … overcame in the sinner's behalf”, and that it was “four thousand years after Adam turned his back upon the light of his home.” Therefore, in order to figure out the end of the six-thousand-year period we must simply add two thousand to the twenty-seven years (the age of Christ at that time). As a result, we have the year 2027 which is the sum of 4000 years from the fall of Adam till Christ’s temptation in the wilderness, plus 2000 years to make the 6000-year period of the world’s history between the fall of Adam till Christ’s return! It is not my intention to persuade anyone that we can set the exact year of Christ’s return. No, because although the presented above arguments seem to be reasonable, they are not clear enough to allow us to set a specific year of Christ’s return. However, what I am certain about is that we can draw a conclusion that we may expect the end-time events around the year 2027. At the same time, let us remember that since we can’t set a precise time of Christs’ return, it may take place before or after 2027. According to the Spirit of Prophecy, the precise time including the day and hour of Christ’s return will be announced by God the Father Himself during the darkest hour of the persecution and shortly before the second advent. Therefore, with this attitude, no one should be very disappointed or lose faith in case 2027 won’t be the last year of the world’s history.
I grew up in post Holocaust Germany. I saw the arms of Jews with numbered tattoos, and those with missing limbs and scars. As a little girl my heart grew attached to these people. I read the Bible and weep knowing it will happen again. Recently, I forced myself to watch every Holocaust movie made to steel myself for what is to come. I have a foreboding for 2022 and pray fervently for people to hear and believe the Gospel now.

After reading and re-reading Dan. 12:11-13, comparing different translations and watching videos of different preachers talk about this passage, I believe that the proper interpretation is as follows. Some translations say "daily sacrifice," "burnt offering," or "regular sacrifice;" however (as I think you stated) the word for "sacrifice" is Not in the Hebrew -- but has been added to the text. Also, the meaning of the word for "regular" or "daily" is also "the normal" --- as in the normal way of life. Thus I now believe this passage is referring to when the normal way of life was Halted or stopped (all over the world -- for at least a month) in March of 2020, because of the (ostensibly terminal) "flu." Hello, I watch your videos carefully. I know there are segments of Daniel prophecy and Revelation that are not clear so we cannot be dogmatic. I want to ask you these questions? Have you noticed that the beast of Reve 13 is different from the beast of Reve 17? The beast of Revelation 13 matches Daniel 7:23 and the beast that govern for 1 hour with the 10 horns of Revelation 17 matches Daniel 8:23. What are your thoughts? Also the time, times, and 1/2 time are 1260 years, not 42 months and this time has to do not with the antichrist but with the period of power of the little horn, most people think this is the time that the Papacy exercised civil and ecclesiastical power, from around 500 to around 1780.
I agree with your assessment that, at this point, what occurs in the extra days of Daniel 12 is largely speculative. I tend to believe the first 30 days is a "mopping up" of forces of those "angry" with the Lord who have come looking for a land battle as the Lord heads from Mt. Sinai toward Jerusalem (King's Highway?). The next 45 days of the Lord's taking possession of this world is mostly judgement of living survivors and nations. There's still a considerable population to deal with and, let's face it, the world is a sorry mess. Fires, dead bodies, not enough food, lack of shelter... It's time to get to work and Amazon won't be delivering packages. Blessed is he who survives and endures the hardships without losing faith. I look at it like this... When the Lord fed those multitudes with the loaves and fishes, he could have just as easily filled their bellies with a thought. But no, he organized and directed a feeding. He gathered resources. Prayed. Had the people sit by numbered companies. Distributed the food. Collected the surplus. This is wonderful management of people and resources to feed thousands at a moment's notice. Lunch for 5000 hungry people? No problem. No other Leader could have pulled that off.

"At that time there will be tribulation.,,". If the great tribulation occurs "at that time" then the Antichrist has not yet come to his end; because the Antichrist is involved in what will be the greatest tribulation ever. The statement at the end of Daniel 11 that the Antichrist will come to his end must be saying that he WILL come to his end. But it's apparent that he has not yet. If he had the tribulation would be over . The repeated "at that time" phrase must be referring not to Antichrist coming to his end, but rather to the phrase, "And he shall plant the tents of his palace between the seas and the glorious holy mountain". This appears to be shortly after the abomination of desolation has been put in place. According to Jesus that is the worst part of the last 3 1/2 years, the greatest tribulation in all of history past and future. The overlap of the last half of Daniel 11 and the first few verses of Daniel 12 sort of obscures the grammer that says "he shall come to his end" since he has to be there in 12:1 where "there shall be a time of trouble (caused by this same Antichrist), Such as never was since there was a nation, Even to that time." Sorry Dalton, but the language isn't as clear as you imply here. I understand your view on this. I've held that view myself at times, and for the most part I agree with your take on this. But after over 50 years of studying the end times, I'm convinced that the rapture takes place a relatively short time after the abomination of desolation is put in place. This reconciles what Jesus said in His Olivette discourse with Daniel 11 & 12 as well as Revelation 13 & 14 where it appears that the Antichrist is revealed (2 Thessalonians 2:3) and shortly afterward the rapture takes place. Believers experience tribulation during the first 3 1/2 years (Revelation 12:16-17) and Israel's tribulation (Jacob's trouble) is the last 3 1/2 years. She is protected for the first 3 1/2 years (Revelation 12:14). Believers will see the first part of that 3 1/2 years when those in Judea have to flee from Antichrist. But then believers will be raptured shortly thereafter, reconciling Dan. 11 & 12, Matthew 24 and Revelation 12 - 14 as well as 2 Thessalonians 2. The thing that confused this issue the most in my thinking is Jesus' statement "then shall be great tribulation..." in association with the abomination and fleeing from Judea. Indeed, this event will probably be the greatest tribulation Israel has ever faced or ever will again. But if the tribulation is 3 1/2 years then surely just this event is not the totality of the great tribulation, but rather the beginning of it and the worst part of Jacob's trouble. But it's after this that Jesus begins to defend Israel. So even though they're still in the tribulation all the way up to the end of the 7 years, it's not as perilous as when the Antichrist first breaks his agreement with Israel and invades Jerusalem and defiling the temple, but it is definitely a continuation of the great tribulation. This is why I believe Jesus spoke of the "great tribulation" of this event and then "immediately after the tribulation of THOSE DAYS (the abomination of desolation and the associated tribulation in Israel)" he gathers His elect. Once you see it the confusion surrounding the issue evaporates. The Anticrist WILL come to his end, but it will be quite some time after the rapture (Rev. 14 after the 7th trumpet and before the vials of God's wrath). Antichrist is destroyed in Revelation 19 after all of the vials of His wrath are poured out and unbelieving Israel's entire 3 1/2 year tribulation ends. The 144000 are believing Jews. They will go up in the rapture along with believing Gentiles. The great tribulation mostly revolves around Jacob (unregenerate Israel), the initial abomination in Jerusalem and Judea, and all the way up until Jesus destroys their enemies, the (Antichrist) beast, false prophet, etc. So Christians live through 3 1/2 years of the tribulation of the wrath of Satan and are still here when the abomination takes place. But they (we Christians who are alive then) are raptured some time shortly after "the tribulation of those days" (the days when Antichrist initially violates his agreement and sets up the abomination of desolation). A week? a month? a year? I can't say for sure. I don't want to be dogmatic about this, but after many years of study and holding various views on this, this is the only scenario that makes sense while reconciling the various scriptures that describe these events.
Appreciate Dalton's teaching here, but I personally believe in a hybrid if you will of the two theories. The little horn includes both Antiochus Epiphanes and the man of lawlessness. In fact, I believe it starts with Antiochus the Great(Antiochus Epiphanes father). You'll notice when studying Daniel that all the horns represent multiple kings. Like Dalton, I believe the time of the man of lawlessness starts in Daniel 11:21. I have a bible study I teach on the subject of the kings of Daniel 11.

Starting from Daniel 11, where we have a good corresponding historical narrative, Ptolemy II sent his daughter Bernice up to the king of the North, Antiochus II, to get his blood into the royal line with an eye to future annexation. Ptolemy divorced his wife Laodice and disowned his children and married Bernice, but when her father died, Antiochus divorced her and remarried Laodice, who then poisoned Antiochus and killed Bernice, putting her own child on the throne. Meanwhile a branch (the brother of Bernice) from her roots (her father), namely, Ptolemy III, invaded the North and killed Laodice. From there the exploits of Antiochus III proceeds, until 11:21, where Antiochus IV comes upon the scene as younger son of his father, who owed a lot of money to Rome. The Fourth was held hostage in Rome for 14 years while his father repaid the debt. This might have had something to do with how vile he turned out to be. Anyway, he became king through intrigue and the rest of his exploits are dealt with throughout the rest of chapter 11. It all fits. My explanation for "At that time" in chapter 12 is akin to what happened in the discussion about the King of Tyre, where suddenly the subject changes to Satan, as though the King was Satan. Apparently, the morphing there took place because the king was a type of Satan. So likewise, Antiochus IV and the antichrist are being juxtaposed for the same reason. The correspondences between the historical narrative and chapter 11 are just too many to be coincidental, and there's nothing in chapter 11's version Antiochus Epiphanes that corresponds to other Biblical accounts of the antichrist, except for Antiochus' abomination of desolation that the Maccabees subsequently addressed. Surely I'm wrong and am just too blind to see it. Set me straight.

In my early years as a Christian I was taught (and therefore believed and taught) the "Pre-trib" view of the rapture etc.
After much prayerful study and research of my own, I find a much different scenario laid out in the Bible.
Compared to what I hear you saying, it sounds like I am somewhere in the between.
I made a rudimentary powerpoint and I am sharing it with you primarily for 2 reasons:
1. To share findings with you that you may have not seen yet.
2. To get insight from you, if you find that I am misunderstanding what I am seeing in scripture.
I understand you may have much on your plate, and I will not be offended if you don't respond; however, it would be wonderful to have someone knowledgeable to bounce things back and forth with regarding our Lord's return.
(The more knowledgeable friends I have are stuck on pre-trib.....so it's hard to have open and honest dialoge that is fruitful.....although I still try.

We often approach this subject with the presupposition of "restrainer of anti-christ" in mind.
Scripture actually doesn't use this term.
Scripture doesn't explicitly state either that this mystery "restrainer" is the Holy Spirit, Church or Michael etc. All these views are of course quite widely held by believers.
In Daniel 10, Daniel prays and he is heard immediately and the Angel is sent forth at once but the fallen demonic powers in the heavenlies resist and restrain the Angel for 21 days until Michael intervenes.
In Revelation 12v7-9 we see Michael again casting down Satan and the demonic powers to earth. Notice what happens in the very next verse...
10 THEN I heard a loud voice in heaven say *NOW* have come the SALVATION and the POWER and the KINGDOM OF OUR GOD, and the AUTHORITY OF HIS MESSIAH for the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down.
i.e. Satan, the *restrainer* of Gods Salvation, Power, Kingdom and Authority is now cast down from his *restraining place* in the heavenlies and hurled down to earth. He's then forced to take up residence in a man's body, the last thing that he wants.
This happens at the 3 1/2 year point so a completely "Open Heaven" is there now for the Saints, the restraning demonic forces are out of the way and unpresedented Power, Salvation and Authority is now made available. It will truly be the Church's finest hour.
We think the devil wants to take over and take the stage etc, its the last thing satan wants, he wants to remain hidden, he's furious and exposed now *knowing* his time is short.
So considering now the same verse...

....Now he (satan) who restrains (Gods Power, Salvation, Kingdom and Authority) will do so *until* he (satan) is taken (literally forced) out of the way (by Michael in the midst of the week)
So instead of "Good restraining the Evil" its in effect "Evil restraning the Good" until Michael casts the Evil restrainer down and out.
So this truly turns everying on its head.

I'd always been taught that the Church and the Holy Spirit were restraining evil from taking over. But after hearing Reggie it just seemed to make so much more sense. I've been arguing this for awhile, the bible is literature and therefore we also must follow the literary rules. A metaphor isn't whatever you want it to be. It is a comparison between two ideas which meaning has nothing to do with the literal interpretation. In other words the word day can not be metaphorical. No word can be metaphorical until placed into a sentence that points to it's metaphorical nature.

The resurrection talked about in Daniel 12:3 is speaking of the second resurrection, as some are raised to judgment. In the first resurrection all are raised to glory, none to judgment. So events in Daniel 12 seem to be at end of millenium it seems to me

You think we are this generation, don't you? I am so full of emotion these past couple of days and am finding it hard to move forward. I have been cut off from so much, here in my little U.S. town as I watch everything around me implode. I know this is tiny compared to what is coming and what the Israelites are going to suffer. I feel overwhelmed with emotional pain at the thought of what they will endure. I know their final outcome will be as the crown of all Nations, yet I am so full of grief at this very moment. I guess I am processing it all first, as you have suggested, and then I will be prepared to play whatever tiny little part Yah deems I could possible handle in the advancement of His Kingdom - not that he needs me to advance anything He so wills. I was searching for something to help me get started today and this is where I landed. I am trusting His plan.

Thank you for this message. I viewed all these end time 'troubles' through the lens of the pre-tribulation rapture and developed a 'not going to be a part of this future gruesome events on earth' apathy. May God give us wisdom and understanding and a posture of prayer and worship (like Daniel) as we are living in the end times.

Example of profecy saying Jerusalem will wander in the wilderness for 40 days but it ended up being 40 years. Does that principle apply here 1260 days?
I agree with everything you say here on Dan 12 as being a future event. However, I disagree with the notion that “Israel” is solely the Jewish people. Israel and Judah are two separate groups that Yeshua will reunite, restore, and regather. Jer 31, Ezek 37, and Heb 8 as well as several others. As a whole, as one united Israel, Peter quotes Moses in the Torah, and Paul quotes the prophet Hosea when talking about only the scattered lost sheep of the house of Israel. Which was the kingdom that was divorced from God after it was all split. Judah was never divorced.

It say’s “And at that time” not, “At that time” signifying a span of time from an earlier verse such as 11:21.
This helps show that “the time of Jacob’s trouble occurs at the time of the great global tribulation of the saints.
Michael stands up for Israel against Satan in the time of the antichrist, the beast.

So, we see that Michael was under the authority of Satan at the time of Jude’s remembrance.
And had been promoted by the time of Revelation 12:7.
The combination of the last two long prophetic periods of time (1290 years and 1350 years) found in the book of Daniel 12:11-12 leads to the year 2027:
According to Daniel 12:11, from the time that the daily sacrifice was abolished (which took place in 599 BC when Nebuchadnezzar invaded Jerusalem) until another abomination of desolation, was to be 1,290 years. This period ended in 692 AD when the Dome of the Rock was built on the temple site. Immediately after Daniel was told about 1290 years, another long prophetic period of 1335 years was added to the previous one: “Blessed is the one who waits for and reaches the end of the 1,335 days” (Daniel 12:12). Adding 1,335 years to the previous period of 1,290 years (or counting 1335 years from 692 AD), leads us to the year 2027!
It looks reasonable that 1335 years, instead of overlapping the 1290-year period, should be added to it. It makes sense as according to the context, these two verses (Daniel 12:11-12) deal with the very end of the world’s history, and when we add these two long prophetic periods, the date we receive actually embraces the end-time events, possibly including the second advent! The answer was given to Daniel's question about how everything would end. Another reason to believe that Daniel 12:11-12 points to the end-time events is the fact that these are the last verses of the book of Daniel and therefore should refer to the time of the second advent instead of 1843 which, unlike 1844, doesn't seem to make much sense.
Also according to the statements provided by the Spirit of Prophecy, the 6000 years of the world’s history should end in 2027: In her writings, Ellen White repeatedly stated that this world in its sinful state and under the rulership of Satan (from the fall of Adam till the second coming of Christ) was to last 6000 years. In the book Confrontation, p. 32.1, she adds that “Christ, in the wilderness of temptation (it took place immediately after His baptism, in 27 AD) … overcame in the sinner's behalf”, and that it was “four thousand years after Adam turned his back upon the light of his home.” Therefore, in order to figure out the end of the six-thousand-year period we must simply add two thousand to the twenty-seven years (the age of Christ at that time). As a result, we have the year 2027 which is the sum of 4000 years from the fall of Adam till Christ’s temptation in the wilderness, plus 2000 years to make the 6000-year period of the world’s history between the fall of Adam till Christ’s return!
It is not my intention to persuade anyone that we can set the exact year of Christ’s return. No, because although the presented above arguments seem to be reasonable, they are not clear enough to allow us to set a specific year of Christ’s return. However, what I am certain about is that we can draw a conclusion that we may expect the end-time events around the year 2027. At the same time, let us remember that since we can’t set a precise time of Christs’ return, it may take place before or after 2027. According to the Spirit of Prophecy, the precise time including the day and hour of Christ’s return will be announced by God the Father Himself during the darkest hour of the persecution and shortly before the second advent. Therefore, with this attitude, no one should be very disappointed or lose faith in case 2027 won’t be the last year of the world’s history.

I grew up in post Holocaust Germany. I saw the arms of Jews with numbered tattoos, and those with missing limbs and scars. As a little girl my heart grew attached to these people. I read the Bible and weep knowing it will happen again. Recently, I forced myself to watch every Holocaust movie made to steel myself for what is to come. I have a foreboding for 2022 and pray fervently for people to hear and believe the Gospel now.

After reading and re-reading Dan. 12:11-13, comparing different translations and watching videos of different preachers talk about this passage, I believe that the proper interpretation is as follows.
Some translations say "daily sacrifice," "burnt offering," or "regular sacrifice;" however (as I think you stated) the word for "sacrifice" is Not in the Hebrew -- but has been added to the text. Also, the meaning of the word for "regular" or "daily" is also "the normal" --- as in the normal way of life. Thus I now believe this passage is referring to when the normal way of life was Halted or stopped (all over the world -- for at least a month) in March of 2020, because of the (ostensibly terminal) "flu."
This was the beginning of the 1290 day countdown to the "abomination of desolation" that will then be "set up," and after which time we have 45 more days to the Return of the King of Kings -- Jesus the Christ. This is also referred to as the "time of darkness" that will come on the whole earth (John 9:4) --- during which time God's people will have to stay put, cease working, and / or hide out. 2 Thes. 2:1-12, Rev. 13:16-18; 17:12-14, Isa. 26:20-21; Zeph. 2:3.

Hello, I watch your videos carefully. I know there are segments of Daniel prophecy and Revelation that are not clear so we cannot be dogmatic. I want to ask you these questions? Have you noticed that the beast of Reve 13 is different from the beast of Reve 17? The beast of Revelation 13 matches Daniel 7:23 and the beast that govern for 1 hour with the 10 horns of Revelation 17 matches Daniel 8:23. What are your thoughts? Also the time, times, and 1/2 time are 1260 years, not 42 months and this time has to do not with the antichrist but with the period of power of the little horn, most people think this is the time that the Papacy exercised civil and ecclesiastical power, from around 500 to around 1780.
I agree with your assessment that, at this point, what occurs in the extra days of Daniel 12 is largely speculative. I tend to believe the first 30 days is a "mopping up" of forces of those "angry" with the Lord who have come looking for a land battle as the Lord heads from Mt. Sinai toward Jerusalem (King's Highway?). The next 45 days of the Lord's taking possession of this world is mostly judgement of living survivors and nations. There's still a considerable population to deal with and, let's face it, the world is a sorry mess. Fires, dead bodies, not enough food, lack of shelter... It's time to get to work and Amazon won't be delivering packages. Blessed is he who survives and endures the hardships without losing faith.
I look at it like this... When the Lord fed those multitudes with the loaves and fishes, he could have just as easily filled their bellies with a thought. But no, he organized and directed a feeding. He gathered resources. Prayed. Had the people sit by numbered companies. Distributed the food. Collected the surplus. This is wonderful management of people and resources to feed thousands at a moment's notice. Lunch for 5000 hungry people? No problem. No other Leader could have pulled that off.

Those who think Daniel 12:2 is referring to a spiritual resurrection rather than a physical one need PSYCHOLOGICAL HELP.
Something that came to my mind was that the extra 30 days may be because of a Leap year on the Hebrew calendar. The current year of 2024 is a leap year and so is 2027 and 2030. Any thoughts?

"At that time there will be tribulation.,,". If the great tribulation occurs "at that time" then the Antichrist has not yet come to his end; because the Antichrist is involved in what will be the greatest tribulation ever. The statement at the end of Daniel 11 that the Antichrist will come to his end must be saying that he WILL come to his end. But it's apparent that he has not yet. If he had the tribulation would be over . The repeated "at that time" phrase must be referring not to Antichrist coming to his end, but rather to the phrase, "And he shall plant the tents of his palace between the seas and the glorious holy mountain". This appears to be shortly after the abomination of desolation has been put in place. According to Jesus that is the worst part of the last 3 1/2 years, the greatest tribulation in all of history past and future. The overlap of the last half of Daniel 11 and the first few verses of Daniel 12 sort of obscures the grammer that says "he shall come to his end" since he has to be there in 12:1 where "there shall be a time of trouble (caused by this same Antichrist), Such as never was since there was a nation, Even to that time."
Sorry Dalton, but the language isn't as clear as you imply here. I understand your view on this. I've held that view myself at times, and for the most part I agree with your take on this. But after over 50 years of studying the end times, I'm convinced that the rapture takes place a relatively short time after the abomination of desolation is put in place. This reconciles what Jesus said in His Olivette discourse with Daniel 11 & 12 as well as Revelation 13 & 14 where it appears that the Antichrist is revealed (2 Thessalonians 2:3) and shortly afterward the rapture takes place. Believers experience tribulation during the first 3 1/2 years (Revelation 12:16-17) and Israel's tribulation (Jacob's trouble) is the last 3 1/2 years. She is protected for the first 3 1/2 years (Revelation 12:14). Believers will see the first part of that 3 1/2 years when those in Judea have to flee from Antichrist. But then believers will be raptured shortly thereafter, reconciling Dan. 11 & 12, Matthew 24 and Revelation 12 - 14 as well as 2 Thessalonians 2.
The thing that confused this issue the most in my thinking is Jesus' statement "then shall be great tribulation..." in association with the abomination and fleeing from Judea. Indeed, this event will probably be the greatest tribulation Israel has ever faced or ever will again. But if the tribulation is 3 1/2 years then surely just this event is not the totality of the great tribulation, but rather the beginning of it and the worst part of Jacob's trouble. But it's after this that Jesus begins to defend Israel. So even though they're still in the tribulation all the way up to the end of the 7 years, it's not as perilous as when the Antichrist first breaks his agreement with Israel and invades Jerusalem and defiling the temple, but it is definitely a continuation of the great tribulation. This is why I believe Jesus spoke of the "great tribulation" of this event and then "immediately after the tribulation of THOSE DAYS (the abomination of desolation and the associated tribulation in Israel)" he gathers His elect. Once you see it the confusion surrounding the issue evaporates. The Anticrist WILL come to his end, but it will be quite some time after the rapture (Rev. 14 after the 7th trumpet and before the vials of God's wrath). Antichrist is destroyed in Revelation 19 after all of the vials of His wrath are poured out and unbelieving Israel's entire 3 1/2 year tribulation ends. The 144000 are believing Jews. They will go up in the rapture along with believing Gentiles. The great tribulation mostly revolves around Jacob (unregenerate Israel), the initial abomination in Jerusalem and Judea, and all the way up until Jesus destroys their enemies, the (Antichrist) beast, false prophet, etc.
So Christians live through 3 1/2 years of the tribulation of the wrath of Satan and are still here when the abomination takes place. But they (we Christians who are alive then) are raptured some time shortly after "the tribulation of those days" (the days when Antichrist initially violates his agreement and sets up the abomination of desolation). A week? a month? a year? I can't say for sure. I don't want to be dogmatic about this, but after many years of study and holding various views on this, this is the only scenario that makes sense while reconciling the various scriptures that describe these events.
Appreciate Dalton's teaching here, but I personally believe in a hybrid if you will of the two theories. The little horn includes both Antiochus Epiphanes and the man of lawlessness. In fact, I believe it starts with Antiochus the Great(Antiochus Epiphanes father). You'll notice when studying Daniel that all the horns represent multiple kings. Like Dalton, I believe the time of the man of lawlessness starts in Daniel 11:21. I have a bible study I teach on the subject of the kings of Daniel 11.

Starting from Daniel 11, where we have a good corresponding historical narrative, Ptolemy II sent his daughter Bernice up to the king of the North, Antiochus II, to get his blood into the royal line with an eye to future annexation. Ptolemy divorced his wife Laodice and disowned his children and married Bernice, but when her father died, Antiochus divorced her and remarried Laodice, who then poisoned Antiochus and killed Bernice, putting her own child on the throne. Meanwhile a branch (the brother of Bernice) from her roots (her father), namely, Ptolemy III, invaded the North and killed Laodice. From there the exploits of Antiochus III proceeds, until 11:21, where Antiochus IV comes upon the scene as younger son of his father, who owed a lot of money to Rome. The Fourth was held hostage in Rome for 14 years while his father repaid the debt. This might have had something to do with how vile he turned out to be. Anyway, he became king through intrigue and the rest of his exploits are dealt with throughout the rest of chapter 11. It all fits. My explanation for "At that time" in chapter 12 is akin to what happened in the discussion about the King of Tyre, where suddenly the subject changes to Satan, as though the King was Satan. Apparently, the morphing there took place because the king was a type of Satan. So likewise, Antiochus IV and the antichrist are being juxtaposed for the same reason. The correspondences between the historical narrative and chapter 11 are just too many to be coincidental, and there's nothing in chapter 11's version Antiochus Epiphanes that corresponds to other Biblical accounts of the antichrist, except for Antiochus' abomination of desolation that the Maccabees subsequently addressed. Surely I'm wrong and am just too blind to see it. Set me straight.
There has been many play throughs, rehersals, in history. The ones who are in the right zones that apply (time of year, place, etc.) may have meaning. Like: day Noah out of Ark, same historic day Jesus out of tomb. kind of thing.
For the believing friend who loves the Jewish people very very much. If I could ask him one thing... it would be, "You do not want to believe there is a future trouble because you love them so much? Wouldn't you be showing them true love by believing such a trouble would come, knowing the intent of it is to bring the nation back to God once and for all, therefore saving them and not keeping them in perpetual sin and denial of God?" Because if you believe the former, then you also agree they shouldn't turn to God and therefore only more will go to hell in the process.
