Ive worked through my trauma and i have a hell of a lot more self esteem now than i used to, but this photo, and its implications took me back to some dark times. Now that says more about me, than it does about anything in that photo. That being said, all parties involved knew what they were doing. I hope she was in on the joke. I hope she is not hurt by this.
I am big too and my bf is slim but muscular and he can pick me up and put me on his shoulders too (our ratio isn’t has large as theirs) but I am not comfortable with being picked up. I’m a grown woman unless I’m unconscious don’t lift me. It’s sad they are teasing her over safety and security.

As a grown woman that recently lost 90 lbs, there's no weight that I can weigh that will have me sitting confidently without my feet able to touch the floor. I don't like heights, so if he's not a super strong 2'5" man, we're both standing🤷🏾♀️

As far as ppl saying "they're not your friends" I kinda agree. Speaking on couples retreats, It's like in the movie, "Why Did I Get Married" with Jill Scott. If that was your friend and her husband told her to drive when she was asked to get off the plane or buy a second ticket, why would your friend stay with your husband and take the flight and watch you have to leave and drive all the way there alone. When her "real" friends found out what happened they were mad! Rightfully so. We all know Jill's friend should have felt like "Oh hell naw" I'm going with my friend. In this picture, they're all smiling and okay with it because it's easier for them to pull it off. It's almost like collectively they all didn't mind her being ostracized. I am a plus size woman in my late forties ( married 25 years) ...my husband and I are very silly so he would have gotten down on all fours and had me straddle his back or worst he would have had both of us get on all fours and then pose behind me 👀. It would have had every one laughing! As you said, we all have our weaknesses or rather our differences. We worry about too many small insignificant things and don't spend enough time thinking/working out the things that matter. You have to learn to laugh at yourself..
It's nothing wrong with this picture. However, it is something wrong with the photographer. The photographer should have put the couples that was standing side by side in the middle of the other four couples since it looks like it was a planned picture. It's all about placement and position. But if that's how they wanted the picture, there is nothing wrong with it.

First, I am not going on a couples vacation because I can only take so much of other people. Second, both my husband and my knees would not tolerate this.

Let’s say it was a group of friends, and one of them was wheelchair bound. And someone (not the wheelchair bound person) says “let’s take a picture with all of us jumping!” That’d be messed up, right? You know not everyone can participate. Nah I’ve witnessed too many “friend groups” where there’s a clear “this person does not belong” vibe and you can tell which of these groups really are chill with that person and which groups are using them for a laugh. Not only are their poses different, but he’s wearing a whole different color shirt. That shows not only are the guys not really keeping homeboy in the loop, but the girls weren’t even telling the other girl “oh all our guys are wearing black yours should too!” 👀. She looks unhappy. This is clearly a group that likes to post on social media and once you start posting on their frequently you start noticing which photos make everyone look good vs. which only benefit a few people. I wouldn’t say they are not her friends but I wouldn’t have taken a photo like this if one couple wasn’t comfortable or wanted to do that pose. Pictures like this have meaning when everyone is doing the same thing. I think they shouldn’t have don’t that specific pose especially if that couple didn’t want to do it! There are plenty of other couples poses they could have chose!!
The other couples should have empathize with them and just stand on the ground. The males can stand behind the females.
It was wrong to me! I’m a person that would say pose how u want but if we doing something together like this we should all be able to do it! I do what I want and shine how I want but I would never do anything to make anyone feel out of place like this, you can clearly see she’s not looking and smiling! This is just weird! Let’s say it was a group of friends, and one of them was wheelchair bound. And someone (not the wheelchair bound person) says “let’s take a picture with all of us jumping!” That’d be messed up, right? You know not everyone can participate. I’m a slim woman, but this just isn’t right. I don’t exclude people, especially my friends. We ALL are gonna have a good time.

I think it was tryna be “funny” but in clearly a fatphobic way. Why couldn’t HE get on her shoulders? Health permitting. I love him and he's strong AF but also he needs his shoulders/neck for work (truck driver/grocery merchandiser) plus if I caused an injury while doing some dumb ish our teenage daughters would roast me like a Marshmallow🔥until the end of time😂😂😂😂

Just my opinion bc you asked, the picture looks manipulated or fake to me. I definitely think it was created (the post) to gain engagement... good or bad, everyone is making coins off of this picture. I get it... Nah I’ve witnessed too many “friend groups” where there’s a clear “this person does not belong” vibe and you can tell which of these groups really are chill with that person and which groups are using them for a laugh.
Not only are their poses different, but he’s wearing a whole different color shirt. That shows not only are the guys not really keeping homeboy in the loop, but the girls weren’t even telling the other girl “oh all our guys are wearing black yours should too!” 👀.
She looks unhappy. This is clearly a group that likes to post on social media and once you start posting on their frequently you start noticing which photos make everyone look good vs. which only benefit a few people.
Lastly as friends unless people again are trying to show off differences friend groups try to engage in activities everyone can enjoy, because that’s the whole point of being part of a group. This girl needs to find new friends
