I'm still in awe of our Father and Jesus our Savior and God the Holy Spirit doing all this for us and I thank God for putting you brother in my path to help me understand just how much we have inherited and also I've been saved for over thirty years and a few years ago I began to be enlightened by the Spirit concerning our great salvation and inheritance and wow. I'm still speechless 😮😢. I'm grinning and praising God and nervously laughing because it is amazing but I'm not going to pretend it isn't true. I thank God for brother David and I'm praying for you and your family and friends.
Wow wow wow, I received so much from this amazing teaching, thank you so much David Guzik for bringing your understanding and passion to this amazing letter to the Ephesians. Haha, and it only Chapter 1.
This is actually awesome I just skimmed through this chapter just reading it passively and i didint really see it until I watched this thank you so so much your an inspiration 😁💕
I’m a woman but I’ll take being adopted as a son any day because back then sons had better rights than daughters, and yet that’s what Paul says we all have, and there’s no difference between male or female in this respect
There is something very unique about verse 2. First, you will find something similar open up all of his letters and end them like that too. Grace & Peace. The reason I think Paul starts his letters this way and ends his letters this way is that he is taking the blessing command that God told Aaron and Sons to say over Israel Numbers 6:22-27 and getting right to the crux of it and using these two lines "The Lord ... be gracious to you and give you peace" 6:25-26. Paul is basically declaring the same blessing that Aaron and Sons declared over the children of Israel over the Church where God has placed his name. The blessing result in Numbers was "So they shall put My name on the children of Israel, and I will bless them". In the NT I believe God's name is already on his Church but nonetheless, it is his desire to be gracious and give peace to his Church so Paul declares the blessing. His inheritance in us can be found in Eph 2:22 "you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God" The temple that we are living stones in is God's inheritance in us.
The attributes each person has , leads to a plan, but what is it? Through faith in his creation we must abandon the earth to be close but we can start the journey now today, thanks DAVID GUZIK
You must understand this nation AMERICA, is different from other countries, where opportunities are slim or nil sometimes people have to starve because they have not, a bible is a luxury in such places the truth is the world is need of more bibles.
As much as I’ve heard the predestined explained, God help me, I still don’t think I understand it. I get that those of us that are in Christ were predestined. I also get that it’s up to us to accept Him and His mercy and Grace. What I’m not understanding is, is who is NOT predestined? Because it sounds like either all are predestined but some reject it, or only some are chosen and for others there’s no hope no matter what. Please help me understand what I’m not getting.
You missed the point of the verse. He means that believers are predestined into this relationship - Who those believers are is a combination of the person seeking faith and accepting Christ in their lives. Otherwise you are saying the person is predestined for hell. No, no, no… WHOSOEVER believes in him , shall be saved. That means people also have a role in this- to be repentant and believe in his finished work on the cross, and we ask him to be our Lord
Ask God to show you what a sinner you are, yes if you are not a believer! Jesus took away our sins, stop putting Him back on the cross! Believers are not sinners but have been born again, cleansed from sin completely, we are new creations let’s stop identifying as Sinners that’s not who we are!
Brother - Praise the Lord. Can you pls tell me which Bible translation you were using while you were giving this message? I am unable to compare the verses.
Hi Sue, great question. One answer is the list off evidence that owe read about in Galatians 5:22-25. Here's what it says... 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 [g]gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. When we see those "fruits of the Spirit" increasing in our lives, we can understand that is she of the evidence of the Holy Spirit in our life. It would also be a great idea for you to read the commentary on Romans 8, as the Apostle Paul speaks a lot about the evidence of the indwelling Holy Spirit. I have attached the link for your convenience. Blessings in Jesus! Romans 8 enduringword.com/bible-commentary/romans-8/
After I gave my life to my Lord I had a very short sexual relationship with a non believer. It was something that so strongly felt wrong that it only happened for two or three weeks when I called it off and gave back all things he had given me. But..........this transgression is always before me. I am worried that this could have negated my salvation. I want to love and worship my Lord with thanksgiving with all my might but this sin somehow makes a barrier.
Thank you for your comment! 51:20 It hasn't been removed, in focusing on the key message of what "the mystery of His will" is, which Paul refers to, Pastor David simply isolates the central idea - that He might gather together in one all things in Christ [...] Of this verse, Adam Clarke said: "The idea behind the word dispensation also reflects a plan or a strategy. “The plan which the master of a family, or his steward, has established for the management of the family… it signifies, also, a plan for the management of any sort of business.” (Clarke) enduringword.com/bible-commentary/ephesians-1/
How can you say if you are talking to the saved that they are sinful to the core but your sins can be forgiven My thinking is that yes our flesh still sins but our spiritual being is sinless, we are not sinful to the core but are new creations and our hearts are changed , our spirit as one with His You say we CAN be forgiven if we sin but our sins are already forgiven, we say sorry and turn away from them and thank Him for that forgiveness but that does not change if we are forgiven or not - maybe I have taken this the wrong way
Hi Mia, it will be most helpful, if you haven’t read yet, if you can get hold of John Owen’s Mortification of Sin. That book is such a great blessing! And always recommended by preachers as the most comprehensive study on the nature of Sin. Readable, too.
That will be able to teach Ephesians 1 without, adding, elected by predestination, choosing some, and passing others by? I’m so tired of hearing this wrong way to see Ephesians. My loving God offer salvation to everyone and they choose to believe it or not. Before time began, my loving sovereign God did NOT dictate and predetermined who would be able to be saved by believing, and who would never ever be able to believe and be saved. The words in the book of Ephesians do not SAY that.
Can a DEAD dog eat? Can a DEAD fish swim? We are all born dead to God...objects of wrath. Only by His Grace (Free gift) do we have faith to trust and believe God. Who is man to tell God His ways are wrong or harsh or bad?
God respects our free will but chose us to believe before we did anything? This seams like a contradiction. Jesus said his disciples did not choose him but he chose them. He also said no one can come to him unless the Father draw them first (Jn6:44) and granted to them (Jn6:65) Calvin or Arminius? Another way to translate [proorizó] "predestined" is the phrase "designated beforehand" or "decided beforehand" We find this in several translations of Acts4:25-28 where the reason why the nations rage and the people plot vanity is disclosed. Both Herod and Pontius Pilate along with the Gentiles and the people of Isreal were gathered together to oppose Christ Jesus. Was God respecting their free will to rage against His anointed servant and plot vanity? Of course not. Their actions were according to the power and will of God as He designated beforehand to occur. This is why the hearts of the Egyptians were turned to hate Israel to begin with. (See Ps105:23-25) Isn't this reasoning along the same lines of vs 11 of this very 1st chapter of Ephesians you're teaching from? Ephesians 1:11 CLV(i) 11 in Him in Whom our lot was cast also, being designated beforehand according to the purpose of the One Who is operating all in accord with the counsel of His will
Holy Spirit told me to study Ephesians and I found this rich teaching! Thank you sir! So blessed!!!

foreknowledge is the basis of predestination

ask for his forgiveness and move on
How many times in the New Testament are believers called sinners……..that’s right none ! All believers are SAINTS not sinners!
why remove the word dispensation....isnt it a word of time

God predestines who will be saved, and we must choose Christ in order to be saved. Both facts are equally true..
58:23 . I didn’t get what you stated from his explanation of verses 13-14.
