"Resident Evil Village was released this year" was a sentence I really needed to hear. It seems so many things happened this year that I genuinely forgot that game released in the same year that we're in right now. Definitely my best experience of the year alongside Scarlet Nexus which was a really nice surprise for me. I do agree RE8 works specially well as a pair of RE7. If you get the chance of playing them one after the other it really enhances the experience of RE8, specially as RE7 works as this slow introduction that then blows up in the beginning hours of Village.
As a hardcore RE fan I was dissapointed with RE Village. Its extremely linear. The puzzles so easy it's insulting (remember the piano?). They took out everything that made RE RE and made it a beautiful looking, press W simulator where you dont have to think because grandma and the kids must be able to finish it too. Its an ok action game with horror elements but far from what made RE great in the past.
I hope to get it on Steam as well but, IMO, it is greatly overrated by UA-camrs. I played it on PS4 and it is nowhere near as good as 2, plus all the money-gouging DLC is deplorable. $5 for a contract and some cosmetics, really?

Multiplayer is crap and Single player is so barebones (doesnt even have mission select for those who want to get 100%) its not worth the asking price..... Yet... And AOE4 is AOE3 but *slightly* differant, also not worth the money..

The Forgotten City is amazing, really refreshing game, with a very creative and interesting take on the loop gameplay, rich atmosphere and lore, a lot of attention went into creating that world and its details.
Great set of quick - fire reviews, decide to get The Ascent, Halo Infinite (Campaign), Hitman 3, Marvel's gotg & Res Evil Village, cheers for the recommendations !
I've been playing Guild Wars 2, Star Citizen, and Microsoft Flight Simulator a lot lately. Guild Wars 2 has a new expansion coming out early next year so that is really exciting. Unfortunately Elite Dangerous Odyssey was quite the disappointment but I hope they can get it back on track. My buddy has been playing the crap out of the new Farming Simulator. I played one a bit back and it was alright but not quite my kind of sim but I might try this one later. Age of Empires 4 though is pretty awesome though, the campaign has a really cool presentation.

Its an ok action game with horror elements but far from what made RE great in the past.
you are in 2022, the video from 2021 and you are assuming that this man told the wrong thing
@@brokenocci ... Are you okay?
so glad it was just recently uploaded. had to search it up
Loving that AOE4 is getting love. I've been playing non-stop since it came out
It sucked lmao it deserves to be on the worst games of 2021. Terrible rts mechanics. One of the few games I actually asked for a refund.
Thanks for putting this video out the day the steam winter sale is meant to start! Perfect timing to pick up some of these games
Who else is waiting for *HitMan 3* to show up on *Steam* ?
I am actually waiting for both Hitman 3 and Chivalry 2 to show up on steam in order to buy them. Let's hope that they will eventually.
I hope to get it on Steam as well but, IMO, it is greatly overrated by UA-camrs. I played it on PS4 and it is nowhere near as good as 2, plus all the money-gouging DLC is deplorable. $5 for a contract and some cosmetics, really?
@@zaphodb1158 ewww.. yeah that's not cool
PC gamer here 🙋🏻♂️ But also have PS5, Xbox series X & S ❤️
1. Halo Infinite
2. Deathloop
3. Age of Empires IV
4. Kena: Bridge of Spirits
5. Psychonauts 2
Honorable mention: Witcher 3 cause it NEVER gets old and it's a ALL TIME GREAT
Halo has a LOOOOOONG way to go to be good, dont be a moth and be drawn by the pretty graphics..
Multiplayer is crap and Single player is so barebones (doesnt even have mission select for those who want to get 100%) its not worth the asking price..... Yet...
And AOE4 is AOE3 but *slightly* differant, also not worth the money..
@Adam Cosper its called a comment section buddy, if people dont want a response dont comment.. simple
I know the game that i posted on my channel is getting old can you go to watch the video please if you have a time i make the music by my self oh my god this is take so much time from me
And none of the games released this year on any platform can come anywhere close to that almost 7 year old game
@@stefanhatcher6486 sound good
No no please, do talk about the big vampire lady, we don't mind 🤣🤣
Valheim and Dyson Sphere should be here!!!! Merry christmas Everyone ☺️🥰
I just got xbox game pass for pc and a lot of these game are there! I can't believe it's only $10/mo and the first 3 months are just $1 total. Best purchase I've made this year.
Tales of Arise is the first PC game that I spent many hours in a day and, I even forgot my daily missions from my CP games. The combat system and the story is just really good.
For me it got boring really fast
I cannot stress how good Wrath of the Righteous is if it is your type of game. It invigorated my love of CRPGS that had been gone since I was a kid thinking that the genre just wasn't for me anymore and it really is amazing writing wise as well. Excellent fun characters and deserves a spot on the list for the best games of this year 100%.
Have you… heard of Divinity Original Sin 1 and 2?
@@sorenkazaren4659 yes and I have my reasons for falling off with both of them. I don’t like how the story is written by comparison and the plots and characters feel much weaker. Also the maps regularly break my immersion by how theme park like they feel with points of interest crammed 5ft from each other.
@@Exaltable to each their own I suppose. I absolutely adored them myself. How about Pillars of Eternity?
I could never bring myself to finish either of them but some people love them and they are that same genre…
Missing Valheim from the list :)
I feel like we would all be wasted if we took shots everytime he says "I enjoyed the hell out of it" lol great ranking though guys just found your channel
Why is Kena the thumbnail but not on the list? Game is absolutely incredible
thanks for great suggestions.
Rider's Republic didn't make it on this list? I'm really shocked by that as I really enjoy the game and love grinding it.
My thoughts exactly
Same! My biggest surprise of thevyear.
(Especially from ubisoft)
Tooke me back to the SSX series and beyond.
You and the game should get a room (grinding it?)
always wait for the discount old games
Ok, despite the fact that it was only an honorable mention, i think we need to truly appreciate an absolutely amazing game, “ender lilies”. I don’t care what you say, this should have been above an honorable mention, one of the best games I have played all year
Whatever you say,if that makes you feel good.2D games in 2021 are just a mockery, they should be released on smartphones not pc.
It Takes Two is the most creative game I have ever played. Ever.
Remaking Age of Empires must've been extremely hard. AOE 2 left big shoes to fill and Relic did a damn good job.
I was not aware Falcon still worked for gameranx
I thought valbeim warranted a mention but glad to hear aoe love.
0:35 my graphic system: am i a joke to you?
great list but i would add valheim in there
Would love it see a video on top splitscreen pc games ... as I find it sooo hard to find a good game and u have the best taste in games ever !!
Finally some love for Death's Door! Never heard of that game until it came out. Really really really good game!
Ender Lilies ❤ absolutely enjoyed the game for total 52 hours... it was a blast ❤ gotta replay this one
Another great video thank you Gameranx and Falcon for the dedication and consistent hard work. It doesn’t go unnoticed!! 🙂
Hi Falcon, this is folks.
Satisfactory is the game I have put over 1000 hours into easily this year. It's still in early access from Coffee Stain. I'm curious if you have checked it out and if so what do you think.
That's my top game this year too, I'm just shy of 600 hours myself.
YESS ! it is a really fun game.
Hopefuly next year will be much better, there's only 4 games I wanted to play out of these and only 2 of those for more than 2 hours
Dorfromantik ! Old World is pretty good. I do enjoy Humankind, which was mentioned. Loop Hero was fun, at least for a bit. Its a shame Total War Warhammer III got pushed back to 2022 ,but I guess that should put it in the running for top-10 in that year
at least a few indies and i'm happy to see, eastward get's so much love! from you!!
not having valheim on this list is a shame.
Chicory: a colorful tale, and Tales of Arise are my games of the year. So much fun and so much love put into both
The Forgotten City is amazing, really refreshing game, with a very creative and interesting take on the loop gameplay, rich atmosphere and lore, a lot of attention went into creating that world and its details.
Didn't know it was a Skyrim mod. Great stuff. Thinking of mods or rather fan made games: Black Mesa is also great.
it's a mod not a game
It began as a mod...
@@protozaba Damn I just googled it you're right, that's very cool for them, had no idea
I'm watching this list but i don't have a PC but one day i will rich enough to buy my dream setup
Valheim should be here even tho they didn’t update a whole lot it was a very good game for $20
hey not trying to hate but can u next time put how much the game is and where it is so like steam or epicgames!:) thank u
Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker should be on this list.
That's technically an expansion but I'm sure it's a masterpiece (haven't gotten the chance to play it yet)
@@Madmonkeman its a great expansion, arguably better than shb, but who knows if they had the time to play it, the thing just came out
@@sprity8048 Yeah I haven't had time to play it yet but I definitely want to since I've loved FF14 for several years now
You should play spiltgate it’s in season 1 and it’s fun
My GOTY def goes to BF2042. Such an amazing concept, no bugs, smooth launch, and a massive deviation from the regular 4 class formula.
Hahahaha I see what you did there. Classic EA lol
The ascent is amazing
Eastward is one of my GOTY's, if not among my all-time favorite games ever. I loved everything second spent in this indie world. It has one of the best pixel art I've ever seen.
How is the story? I like games with good stories. Thinking of playing it
Me and my friend played It Takes Two and it was such an amazing game, it takes two is the best game for you and your friend
I'm really hoping Forgotten City and Inscryption get console releases.
Forgotten city is on consoles isn't it? Thought it was even on gamepass.
Forgotten City is on Xbox..
I'm playing it
There's a cloud version on Switch too.
Hell Let Loose is absolutely fantastic and the developers are not shit. Thanks for including.
I kinda enjoyed Hell Let Loose but I personally find Squad more enjoyable
@@lispyy26 yes, at it's core...but the numbers. The numbers going up makes my brain make the happy chemical. Therefore, HLL.
I'm surprised kena bridge of spirits wasn't top 20
