Hey, I wonder if Frankie was inspired by “The Bear” winning big at the Emmys last night! The restaurant in the show was originally all about Italian Beef. (Or maybe this was inspired by “Beef” also winning all the top Emmys in its category, LOL.)
As a Chicagoan, everyone kept telling me how I was going to LOVE that show....and I literally couldn't even finish the first season lol. How did you like it? The scenery was pretty, but also, I can see that in real life whenever I want so it wasn't enough to keep me invested. There was just too much screaming constantly. Would love to know if you enjoyed it!
Love you, but that's not Chicago-style giardiniera! Ours has much less cauliflower. Also the beef needs to be THINLY sliced, not shredded. And finally, "dipping" basically means submerging the whole entire sandwich in the juice! 😂😂 But still, I may give this recipe a go!
How do I get the recipes for free like it says? Every time I click on the recipe, I get a pop up to "join" tastemade for a monthly fee so I can't get to the recipes from this show.
If you call this a Chicago style Italian beef in Chicago, you're gonna get shanked. Of course, the chances of being shanked in Chicago is pretty high regardless of what you do, but this ain't no Chicago beef. It does look good though.
Honestly, people need to stop dunking on boullion cubes. I'd much rather have a stock with boullion and fresh vegetables than a more expensive cartoned stock with canned vegetables.
The relief I felt seeing the bouillon cube is immeasurable
I love how, despite your success, you are down to keeping it real.
I'm really glad the "drop the water" didn't have that huge crazy loud music this time. I flinched haha.
Thanks Frankie!
Oh yum! That looks delicious!
That looks awesome as heck
Very nice beef roast sandwich. Not quite an Italian Beef. I would still eat that sandwich any time it was offered to me.
I was thinking the same thing. Looks delicious but not an authentic “beef”. 😊
Let's gooo!!!
yum

It's unlikely to have been inspired by a current programme. Struggle Meals have started re-posting old videos and pretending they're new. 😠
That looks awesome! I'm curious, why do you use granulated garlic when you put in fresh garlic? What is the purpose of using both?
It's a way to layer flavors. Fresh garlic has more of a bite and potency to it, while granulated garlic (or garlic powder) is more roasty and mellow.
Gotta steam or toast that bun!

It’s not Portillo’s but looks good.
Dude, branch out. There are much better beefs than Portillos.

*This is five years old, not one month. Why are you trying to fool us by posting old videos instead of making new ones?*
