Thanks for the comment. Nope haven't built it.. Its been easily over 2 years and its just part of the NIB collection. Although I have acquired a used one that I'm going to fix up. I want to say at some point this summer. Keep and eye out and until then enjoy the retro RC content.
Nice, I've got a re-release Wild One that I have to finish building among lots of other Tamiya (and Kyosho) re-release kits. also a Fox NIB unbuilt but will be getting the re-release Fox probably in the near future.
keithrx3c This is my only vintage NIB kit. I really want to build it but feel guilty if I did because the box and blister packaging is in such great condition and because i can alway go out and get a re-re of this.
Hey! There's nothing wrong with being over 30 years old!!!!!!!! Teehee!
Oh my! That unboxing is just how I remember it!
keep it NIB, it's a piece of Tamiya history.
Ahh theres my childhood what a car!
LoL! I gave you a thumbs up, but I was already 30 when I got mine! 😅
Do not build. Appreciate the history. I’m sure you have another one to run. Love the videos. Thanks for sharing.

That's awesome! i would not build it , may as well just get a re release and build that and save this kit as a lone survivor!
Thanks. What a dilemma! So tempted to build it.
For robustness, durability and reliability, hands-down one of the best 2WD buggies Tamiya ever produced (along with the Hornet).
I don't understand why the re-release needs the chassis cut out for the battery wires. I have a vintage wild one & modern batteries fit just fine.
Not sure either about the cut out for the battery.
BUILD PLEASE And how rare is that?
dont build just buy restore old
Please DO NOT BUILD it is scarcer than hens teeth to find a kit is such a great condition
Richard Black RC Maniac no worries I’m not...I’ve decided to keep it as is. Gotta have at least one vintage NIB to display....
LoL! I was going to say rocking horse poop!!!!!!! 😅
