Had no idea they were still active behind the scenes. They’re a part of my K-pop discovery back in early 2000s so it’s awesome to hear that.
@@ShMartinJo Jaewon and Sanghoon had a hand in the dance training and choreographies of probably all SM groups from SNSD onwards. In the 2010s they started being involved in directing for the idols' tours. Jinyoung did vocal training for SNSD onwards too. They did well for themselves, even if their idol careers flopped.
Imagine if Black Beat and TVXQ (5 members), both groups sing ballad songs in front of us.. (emotional moments)

@@iamnzkt I love Somi - and I was really feeling bad for her at the end cause it was the third time she was leaving a group (Sixteen, IOI and Sisters SD) - and I used to worry if she was going to have to become only a variety show performer. So glad that she now is a top soloist. I will say that Minzy was my crush on Sisters Slam Dunk and I loved how close she and Somi bonded. Btw one of the funniest things was when all of the Unnies got Jinyoung to reluctantly perform one of Black Beat's choreos

Probably the least remembered group that SM has had. I really wasn't very aware of them until I saw Jang Jinyoung as the vocal coach on Sister's Slam Dunk season 2
@@jamesrawlins735 didn’t even know about that til you mentioned it! But yeah definitely one of the least but honourable mentions for sure. He was one of the consistent members to have shown up in almost all the SM Town songs (Black Beat wasn’t there in 2003’s Winter SM Town), despite SM not promoting them. Really appreciated that they had songs recorded at least in the SM Town albums.
진짜 나이때 플라이투더스카이 팬이었는데 블랙비트는 너무 아쉬웠음 ㅠ 2집 좀 내주지 ㅠ 내 기억으론 팬클럽 모집까지하고 실제로 2집 구상중이었던걸로 기억하는데 무슨이유인지는 모르겠지만 팬들한테는 희망고문이었던걸로 기억 ㅠ 노래 춤 다 너무 좋았는데 아쉬움 ㅠㅠ

우리나라 아이돌 중에 제가 인정한 그룹은 H.O.T. 또는 블랙비트 입니다. 그 이유는 H.O.T. 대 선배보다. 더 열정적인 춤과 노래을 했기 때문에 그렇습니다. 근데 단 한기지 아쉬운 점은 제대로 된 트레이닝 갖추고 나왔다면 더 나은 성공한 아이돌그룹이 되지 않았을까 하는 안타까움이 있습니다. 너무 급하게 내놓은 그룹이라 더 실력있고, 애정이 가는 블랙비트 그룹입니다.

I hate how SM treated them like a filler group because with more promotion, they could have been so big. The members are all so talented and I'm happy they are a getting a remaster as well.

동방신기 2집 타이틀곡 "라이징선" 이랑 슈퍼주니어 2집 수록곡 "갈증" 이 원래 블랙비트 노래였다고 해요ㅋㅋ 블랙비트가 2집 준비중이었는데 앨범 못내고 끝이난듯..
2023년 아직까지 듣는사람?sm에 1대의문이가는데 1집성공했는데 2집이 1~2년동안 깜깜무소식이여서 온갖 루머들이 많았던 기억 시절이 있다..

BlackBeat originally are back-up dancers of several SM artists. Sadly they only have one album and maybe "this' one single as a group. They lack so much recognition since they are backbones of several SM acts.
They became dancers, back-up vocals, choreographers, actors, and rappers for S.E.S., BoA, TVXQ, and SHINHWA. They appeared BoA's ID:Peace B (2000) and also on S.E.S. Dreams Come True (1998) performances
Also they are trainers of future The Grace, TVXQ, and Girl's Generation members, maybe Super Junior, SHINee, EXO, and NCT members as well.
They also directed concerts of EXO as said in the comments...
Oh how much they gave for SM and nobody seem to notice their efforts.

그 당시 최고 인기 만화가인 원수연씨 일러스트도 smE에 이런저런일로 인해 smE 남돌 중 런칭 후 최초로 크게 뜨지 못한 비운의.. 아픈손가락.. 이나 지금 다시보니 황상훈씨 미모에 치이고 심재원씨 지금하곤 역시 많이 다른 느낌! 두분은 smE에 남아 안무가로 크게 자릴 잡은거보면 smE도 정말 많이 아까워했던 인재들임에는 틀림없는것 같네요. 확실히 sm상은 아니었던듯 해요. 실제로 sm이 미국 체류중에 데뷔한 케이스이니 확실히 sm픽은 아닌 뭔가 다른 sm 픽... 이었던걸로.

quick trivia for those who might have seen familiar faces in this mv. shim jaewon is still at SM Ent working as a choreographer and performance director along with hwang sang hoon, who also became a judge in street woman fighter. jang jin young became a vocal trainer who has trained so many 3rd gen idols including red velvet's wendy. sadly, no known recent news about lee somin and jung jihoon.
Amo tanto essa música, esse grupo. Amo muito o vocal do Jihoon, mais precisamente o vocal de todos eles. Eles tem uma voz tão linda, e reconfortante. Isto realmente é algo muito apaixonante, essa música toca no meu coração.
