How this album did not get a Grammy nod is beyond me. It’s just a stunning work.

The Grammys have become too political. This was by far the best rock album of the year. An unbelievable shun by the Grammys

Music awards are a joke nowadays. Its almost insulting to win a grammy, they dont care wether they win or not.

When they won for their first album it wasn't even broadcasted live and in the background was AC/DC song playing, not theirs. It was awful. Good that they didn't show up.

Apparently, Josh not only has an amazing vocal range, but he writes most of the lyrics, too. He is a very talented guy. Great reaction as always. Thanks Shotgunn 😊

How you lay back and rock back and forth to the chorus says a lot about how wonderful this song is. again this is one of my favorites of the album. It's a battle between this, caravel, built by nations. shit the entire album is a masterpiece. and my mother told me to make my bed before leaving so my day will turn out great, and even on those days that didn't I felt at peace when I got home because my room isn't chaotic.

I love this song, such a cool one. Love that they are literally sampling their own songs in this one and also putting lyrical references to those songs. It elevates the storytelling too, everything so far all coming together in one epic song. It’s not a new thing, I know artists have done it before, but you have to admit it’s just a bit cooler when they do it. This song is unbelievable live. They all are, but this one especially. It amazes me every time that he can hit all of those notes for real. 😄

Whenever he sings "Bring in the seeds, the garden must grow" I imagine giant plants sprouting and growing impossibly tall along with the rising of his voice and then stopping to bloom as his voice softens again. There really are a lot of different ways you could interpret the lyrics and likely references to other things that I might not be familiar with. I thought that "make your bed" could be from the phrase "you've made your bed, now lie in it" but in this way it's an opportunity to improve your circumstances to what you want them to be, even if you think you've already messed up or need to make amends with others, since "even sinners go to drink the wine, break the bread." Plus, there is the additional meaning of bed as in "flower bed" which fits in with the garden theme of the song. Very clever writing.

Stardust Chords" by Greta Van Fleet is a song about rebirth and renewal despite the darkness and despair of life. The lyrics reference roses from a garden that have been cut down and the broken bells of an old church. The "prisoners of the king" are told they can win their freedom if they plant vines of infantry. The chorus encourages listeners to make their bed, even if they are a sinner, and break the bread, highlighting the idea that everyone has the chance to start fresh, with the help of God, even if they have made mistakes in the past. The song emphasizes that everyone can enjoy the freedom of an opportunity for redemption and a new beginning.
    One of my favorites!

This was the first song I ever heard from GVF. I’ll never forget, I just heard Josh belting out “IT HAS BEEN SAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIDDD” and I remember thinking “that’s the best sound I’ve ever heard from a band….surely they’re a one hit wonder”. Then every song I would listen to right after was better than the previous!!! This my obsession began. But Stardust Chords will always hold that place in my heart

"thats a one syllable word!" HAHA my thoughts exactly, his meoldies never fail. This one grew on me so fast, easily one of my faorite for when im feeling an anthemic, epic, movie score esque piece... this one gives me a more prog rock feeling from them. My favorite part of this song is the background guitar melody in the second half of the verse all the way up until the chorus begins... if you really listen for it youll pick it out... so good!

What a voice. I'm hardcore obsessed with all of their music. Talented far beyond their years. I believe they are going to be a Generational band, like so many incredible bands we love from back in the 70s. I can't count any rock (their rock)bands that since the 80s have made and maintained an impression such as GVF. I may be forgetting some in my old brain😊 But rock, pure rock, sounding better live in many cases with no computers or lip syncing. I'm a fan for life!❣️❣️

Another GVF piece of art metaphorically created sounds like relied on biblical symbolism for inspiration to get a point or two across. Referring to Gardens Gate as the Garden of Eden and the fall of man(humanity) and referencing to the troubled world in which we live in hope for all to earn the right to return. Just an opinion! Thanks Shotgunn for another great reaction to this amazing song.!! 😊🤘

There is a great interview that Josh did with Atwood Magazine that explains a lot of TBAGG conceptually. I have posted the link here a few times but it keeps disappearing. Just google it. It is quite interesting.

Stardust Chords is full of spiritual & Biblical references. Flowers at Garden's Gate is obviously the Garden of Eden. Sinners drinking wine and breaking bread is obvious. However, the "make your bed" reference is a bit more obscure.
It's from the the book of John in the New Testament. Jesus heals a crippled man at the pool of Bethesda outside Jerusalem on the Sabbath. He tells the man to "make his bed" because he no longer needs it because he is healed.

While this is a great song, it doesn’t really stand on its own much. It’s definitely a bigger part to the “story” of this album
