The announcer at our off-season event was trying to stall for time while one team got their robot ready and said "Uhhh shoutout to... water. Stay hydrated, everybody" and the crowd started chanting water game. He said "yeah that's totally gonna happen guys"

The scoring system is really confusing. Also how would we be able to recreate the generator switch for practice
They supply the same lazy Suzan in the kit of parts as they use for the generator switch.
Arthur Johnson the generator switch is the thing you climb on, the lazy susan is the control panel with the colors

I gotta say, this is pretty complex, I'm reading the rules and I still don't have a full idea of how this game works. I wonder how spectator-friendly this will be. Looks like fun, though. Teams really gotta read those rules to get a clear understanding of what to build and what not to build.
Yea I agree I am still not sure how many of the mechanics work, I it would be difficult to explain to my parents and other spectator

@@Brandon-qd2lb I didn't say it would be easier, just less complex. A mechanism to manipulate the "pinwheel of death" could be completed in a day. The element adds significant complexity, distancing the audience and FIRSTers who struggle to understand the phases of the game. It seems like a last minute addition to throw more random garbage on the filed, or try to stop the teams that do everything. (Spoiler GDC: many of them will still manage to do everything)
