Not bold. Just paid by the kremlin to give the illusion of democracy! He has zero chance of getting in . This also gives the names of all "anti war" people there. So they will get a visit and some advice
He is just a pootins project. Don't be that naive.
@@gene_bhe probably started that way. He thought people would be too scared to get behind the man, proving no one wanted to end the war. The opposite has happened and now Putin will have to do something shocking to end it.
Boris Nadezhdin a liberal from the 90s, and liberals 90s are associated with friends and spies of Americans. He doesn't stand a chance.
His last name Nadezhdin literally means 'hope' in Russian. Can't help but smile at this irony of history. Hope he will win❤
This fact bothers me actually. There is a well-known love-affair of Kremlin authorities with "names with meaning". It makes me think he's been picked and staged rather than naturally emerged on his own. But yes, there is some hope now.

As a Russian who gave my signature to Nadezhdin, I can answer to the obvious question that I see foreigners ask here: how did they let Nadezhdin run his campaign?
The thing is that Nadezhdin was around in the Russian politics for the last 30 years now, and he knows the majority of people who work in ministries and putin's government. So, he was not a die-hard opposition like Alexey Navalny (yet still had humane views on what's happening) and they let him try to run this campaign to be a kind of a democrat that everybody can shit on, but who will eventually not get much support yet still be a proof of the 'legitimacy' of putin's elections. Like "look guys, we got a liberal candidate, so our elections are fair". They like this kind of autocratic circus here.
Needless to say, it didn't work out for him very well. Nadezhdin happened to be the only person who ACTUALLY collected all the signatures by himself with the help of Russian people, including me, my family and my friends, so the Kremlin dwarf is going to have a hard time thinking about how to get rid of this guy and the movement. We are, in our turn, going to give him a bumpy ride this time. I have to say, it's refreshing to see so many people unite under the anti-war movement around the country, from Moscow to Far East, to give their signatures to a guy most of them didn't even know about - the product of years of repressions. So, let's see what happens.
❤️from Moscow
It’s good as an ordinary Russian you bring this comment to counter the often simplistic, sometimes dehumanizing perspective many in the west have of people in Russia because of how our media often chooses to show a very one-sided portrayal of ordinary people in Russia.
Good luck. Sincerely.

As a Russian pacifist living in Belgorod region (the irony! 😢) I have left my signature for Nadezhdin.
It’s not very likely he will win these elections but Putin and his team will surely get to know the real percentage of those who support the “special military operation” and those against it by the time they will have counted all the votes.
If they are brave enough not to block Nadezhdin’s candidacy before the elections.

I'm from Russia, and Nadezhdin finally gave us a chance to unite. I was lucky, in my city I stood in line for a signature for about an hour, but in other cities people stood in line for much longer. Old and young, everyone wanted to make their small contribution to the fight against this horror. Many brought gifts to people at the headquarters, where they collected signatures, and helped warm those who had been standing on the street for a long time with tea. The ordinary population does not like everything that Putin does, but for single attempts to change something, people literally go to prison for 5, 10, or 20 years. We finally have a chance for a centralized opposition! I am proud of all the people who stood in these lines!!
