- Animation takes a lot of time and effort for low pay. For example, it took Cory 6 months of constant work to animate the Street Fighter Starbomb music video. One time Zach (psychicpebbles) went four days without eating. When you eat a McDonalds cheeseburger after not eating for 4 days, it tastes like a steak meal from Outback.

I've worked in the same restaurant for 6 years now, trust me when I say that staying on the same path will help you reach higher goals, but the mental and physical strain it can put on you is phenomenal

This is good to hear as a creator, I always thought a lot of these creators like Ego Raptor where like adults that already uploaded stuff, and i find out years later that they are my age, and its like, OH i haven't made it as a creator because i have not been creating content.

After studying animation for 4 years in university now, thinking it was the career I definitely wanted and wouldn't mind, I fucking hate animation now.

Also they forgot to mention that people in family guy and stuff do multiple episodes in advance, so multiple episode are made all together since it probably would take a shit long time if they did one episode at a time

this shit is scary, but in the end you're doing what youre love. multiple jobs will help you stay afloat. any if anything, create content that balances out your animation vids (gaming, or maybe commentary? i dunno)

Becoming an animator is the steepest hill I've ever climbed. It's basically like trying to crawl out of hell but then ending up in just another level of hell, and so you keep trying to crawl up but there are so many levels of hell.

I’m construction and I work too much too lol. I guess it depends where you are from and what you do. Those road workers work 7 days a week year round sometimes and they are probably making 120-140k a year. But you are right, you guys are doing that all by yourself with nothing near the budget studios or construction companies have. Not to mention you guys have other things. I mean my job is what actually cripples me from finishing my content where these guys actually get stuff done! So when it comes out it excites me cause I know the work that goes into. Cause I have a plethora of unfinished songs.

Pitching a TV show is so fucking shit, there is an unnecessary ammount of hoops to jump through if you want to sell just an episodic show. Most pitch bible templates are curated towards serialized television which makes it really hard to break that.
