- My trip to the Southampton Lego Store on Monday 1st April 2024 - There are a few new sets out today which I wanted to check out, as well as 3 new free GWP's (Gifts with purchase) that are potentially available (although 2 GWP's can only be given out if certain sets are purchased.
As well as a look around the store, I take a look at the Pick and Build wall at the end of the video.

The Batman art set looks good, the baby alien looks Great 😅 and the Lamborghini looks "half finished"!
I agree with all of that. A lot of the Technic sets look unfinished
That’s unlike you to go for Brickheads!! 😂🤪😂
Nice little haul though and cheers for the video, as didn’t make it down to my local store today!! Did do an online order though!! 👍
Well, ithD been a while since I'd bought any Brickheadz so thought it best I got some more!
I did an online order as well.
Great video mate. Looking forward to D&D. It's taken a bit of saving, but picked up Rivendell the other day. Shout out from New Zealand. Have an awesome day!💥From Fun At Home (Hot Wheels, Lego, Cards, Stamps & collectables)👍
Hi - yes, it's definitely worth saving up for some of these larger sets.
That's a really solid selection of pieces on the pick a brick wall! Thanks for including that in the video!
No problem. Thanks for watching
Hey Iain,
Good to see you back.
Dungeons and Dragons set looks nice but like you, don't know much about it to buy it.
Managed to pick up the Lego Hogwarts Castle and Grounds set (76419) from Argos on Saturday for a 3rd off at £100. Very pleased with that.
Keep up the good work 👍🏻
Thanks
Great that you got the Hogwarts set at such a good price.
Great video Iain. Don’t think I’ll be picking any of the new sets up. Like what you have bought though, some nice brickheadz there.
Thanks Wayne. Yes, I think unless you are specifically into D&D or Batman, then there is not too much to get excited about this month.
Another great video Iain. Great to see new April sets. I am dissapointed with PAB wall in my lego store, very rare to get masonry bricks. D&D chest looks horrendous!!!!!
Thanks William.
Which is your local store?
I thought the Southampton wall had a decent amount of good pieces today.
Glasgow and edinburgh for me @@iainsbricks
Glasgow and edinburgh lego stores for me.
It’s green goblin not lantern haha. And the board is called the goblin glider
The tease of lotr in the d and d set is so cool!!!
Oops! My bad
Great minds think alike. I picked up the two Star Wars brickheadz sets featured on my last visit to the Liverpool Store. I like to go over to the City and buy Nespresso pods in person. Once your just around the corner it would be rude not to have a little look in the Lego store. Once your in there it would also be rude to go home empty handed. So I opted for those two sets. I would love to have picked up another snack van gwp today and so was disappointed they limited it this time to the modulars as I already have the three sets in the current range. If it had just been a spend threshold of £170 I most certainly would have bought the Medievil town square today. I wonder how many takers they will have for the modular offer with two of the three having been significantly reduced at JohnLewis a number of times and the third being a £260 set that many would have purchased on day one or waited like I did till January to get it with the Snack Van GWP.
Yes,shame about the retro food van
Thanks Ian . Please keep the videos coming. Sat abroad watch this .
Matt not in Dorset at the moment!
Hi Matt.
I will keep rhe videos coming.
Not been buying that much Lego over the last month, hence the weeks gap in output.
Have a fab time abroad
Cool video. Thanks for sharing.
I’m especially interested in the Dungeons & Dragons set. Seeing it built in your video helps to get an idea of its size beyond the lifestyle photos already on the LEGO site.
The adventure you can download as an Insider giveaway allows you to use the set to play a game of Dungeons & Dragons.
Thanks for watching.
It's good to see them linking the set so you can play the game as well
Nice little haul Iain, the flowers GWP looks quitte nice, you should be able to sell that one pretty quickly on your next festival.
Thanks Peter. Yes, it's a nice looking set.
Hi Iain, Thanks for the video mate. D&D are not for me, although there is D&D meeting at work every week, so its popular. Like the Lamborghini for future investing, although its the same colour as the 1.8 Porsche 911 super-car, Bright Orange! Batman wall interesting, although £249! Should hopefully pick that up for 20% or less in the future. Thanks Iain.
Thanks Wayne. No, apart from watching the D&D cartoon in the mid 80s , I know very little about it.
Batman set does look good but there are lots of stickers and the price tag is high.
just ordered my D&D set and the book. might keep it, it does look awesome. thx for sharing.
Excellent. Hope it doesn't take too long to arrive
Will be getting one of those mercedes sets on double points and my 10% off from work
It's a set that is under a lot of people's radars
Not too sure about certain design aspects of the flower trellis gwp, so I'll probably leave it unless I can get one very cheap and ammend it with my own parts.
Thanks for sharing the PAB wall ☺️
Thanks for watching, Darren.
Thanks for sharing your visit. The D&D looks awesome but is a double points purchase for me.
The build looks int, but I have to admit I don't know much about D&D at all.
Why you wait for Double Point. The Limit GWP is more Money then 5% more points
@@Keule222 I’m not an investor and besides I have a backlog of sets to build bigger than you can shake a stick at. Thank you for the advice anyway.
Thanks for the PAB wall.
No problem
"Start the spacey music" 👨🚀🌍
🤣
Dare i say it, but not a huge fan of the new d&d set, its a castle and a dragon for such a huge price and the IP. Its not like D&D have recognizable characters like lotr's or star wars so i dont really see the need for paying for the D&D name on the box. Better to buy the medieval town square, the 3 in 1 castle and a dragon from ninjago. I do like fantasy stuff and have done D&D, this one just not doing it for me :P and the GWP comes in one of those yellow cut out boxes no art work and flimsy.
Thanks for the vid :) went to uni in Southampton a long time ago.
Thanks for watching
I guess the D&D set will mainly appeal to the hardcore fans.
It did look good though with alloy the other castle sets.
Hi Ian.. just wondering how much are pick a brick boxes cost? And is that all the Lego pieces they have?
I think it's about £16 per large box at the moment.
Stores do sometimes have other bricks available, but you have to ask for them.
It's unfortunate that you can't get the D&D chest GWP without also purchasing the D&D Red Dragon set ☹
Yes, it is a little disappointing, but Lego do this kind of thing from time to time
Is the Eid lantern only for Netherlands or is it available in the US?
I'm not sure I'm afraid. You would have to check with your local store.
I popped in today as well the flowers GWP is the worst GWP ever it's been slated even on Brickset.
I quite like the flower trellis- it's selling for around £28-£30 on ebay.
@@iainsbricks also Lego have it as a religious gift in the UK and not other countries which I also don't agree with..hard pass for me.
