The chiefs are better than anyone at stopping teams in the red zone. In fact, last week they stopped the Raiders EIGHT TIMES inside the 5 yard line. So yeah…I don’t blame Bowles at all.
I’ve heard a sickening amount of second guessing of Tod Boles. They would absolutely tear him apart if it went bad the other way. This is why they are analysts and not coaches. Literally 50/50 chance. No wrong call in this situation.
@@TerMa354 yeah it’s ridiculous. It was raining hard, the Bucs had just run 3 plays to get into the end zone, and the Chiefs are notoriously good at stopping teams inside the 5 yard line. All of that on top of the fact that 2 point conversions are only about 30% successful, and it’s honestly just dumb that it’s being talked about at all.
I’m so sick of people complaining and making excuses for teams that are down their key players. The Chiefs are also down their key players but they still find a way to win. When you don’t have your key players and still win, that’s what makes the team dangerous. The Chiefs are able to adapt but when they’re all healthy, it’s game over.
So, let’s say the Bucs go for two and get it. The Chiefs still had time and were moving. They made a couple of mistakes. But they were set to get into field goal position. Under the gun, Mahomes finds a way. I’m thinking the Chiefs would have won on a field go after being forced to make a play on fourth down instead of punting and working in overtime instead.
26 seconds and 3 timeouts with Mahomes playing from behind is almost a guaranteed loss. Especially now that he’s throwing to two Hall of Famers again. At least going to overtime you get a chance to get the ball first.
"You know the Chiefs have this creepy relationship with overtime, where it always works out..." It's not supernatural. What happens is that the Chiefs score a touchdown and they win. Or in the playoffs, the Chiefs prevent the opponent from scoring a touchdown, then the Chiefs score a touchdown, then the game ends.
D hop helps to reduce on of the defense, gets Kelce better looks and moves the chains and catches tuddies. All for the low low price of a 5th rounder. Amazing!
Yeah, yeah, yeah.......If they had gone for two and missed it, then you would have said they should have tied and gone in overtime. It's easy to call it in hind site.
This game was close because Chiefs early passing success and Reid thought he could call plays like it was 2021 all over again and got away from the run. When they went back to the run, they took control of the game again.
When you're facing greatness you have to take risks as the underdog. I don't personally think the Falcons were wrong for continuing to be aggressive vs Brady in the SuperBowl. He's just the greatest player to ever play and that strikes fear. I think the OT coin flip and the 2pt conversion are the same odds for the Bucs to win that game personally.
Let’s say the Chiefs get the false start penalty. They are still deep in the red zone with Pat and Andy at the helm in OT. In what world do the Chiefs not win the game given the situation?
But they did give them time by calling time out. And when they did that, I thought they was gonna go for it. And just think that chiefs had like a six minute drive before then
Everyone talking like the Bucs would've won if they got the two points! 🤦 Do you really think they were going to stop Mahomes with 30 seconds and 3 time outs to go 25 yards for kicking range? Ha! Chiefs still win!
Lot of talk about remembering games but they never mentioned Buffalo going up in the playoffs leaving just 13 seconds on the clock…… and losing by a field goal. The Chiefs are one of the best at situational football, knowing when the games on the line what needs to be done to secure the W.🤷♂️
Does anyone know because I’m actually curious how many times has a team actually won a game winning a 2 pt conversion at the end of the game for the lead
Just because they didn't go for 2 doesn't mean anything to anyone but the talking heads... they could've made the 2 points, and the Chiefs still had 3 timeouts and 25 seconds. There is no guarantee either way...
A two point conversion has a 31% success rate. Most likely a lot less against the Chiefs defense. These desk coaches are the same bunch that predicted the Chiefs would not make the playoffs last year. Anything they hype is only for show! A losing show!
Putting the game on the line and relying on STOPPING Mahomes just isn't the smart play IMHO. Stopping Pat is playing with fire. I'd rather just put faith in my guys to punch in the 2 than trying to stop the most clutch player from doing what he does an overwhelming majority of the time. The percentage for getting a 2 point conversion is 100% higher than beating Mahomes in OT as the stats clearly show lol
Really good point about them playing it safe and losing just a few weeks ago. I was judging them until he said that, they have firsthand experience with what happens when you play to tie a team with a high powered offense-- you might lose to the coin toss

@@j.ericson9190 He watched the tape from the raiders game when they were at the 3 yard line.
anybody catch that goal line stand last week against the Raiders? Boles knew what he was doing.
Hindsight is 20/20. They go for the 2 point conversion and miss it... ? Crucifixion ... Great game.
I 1 million percent agree

If you asked the players. They would go for two
@chrismaile617 but isnt that why players. Play. Coaches .coach. Even with the two.. Still leaving Mahomes with too much time too many timeouts.
Go for 2 get it, Chiefs have 26 second 3 timeouts to get in fieldgoal range and one of the best kickers,
Fr Butker can nail a 60 yarder pretty reliably
Whatever the bucs did they would have lost
taking that timeout at 33 seconds on the goal line was also a questionable call by the coach.

Like the face mask call on wirfs. Sold out refs
Seriously, CHIEFS are all sorts of banged up, but it's different cause, ummmm haters are going to hate!!!!!
@ typical loser answer 🤣
@@gflores8810 Even if it wasn't a 15 it would have been a legit 10 for holding.

Baker knew when he lost the OT coin flip, he wasn't getting the ball.
Yep. His body language at the coin toss said it all.

You don’t leave points on the table, get the extra point and fight to win in overtime
No, its Tuesday morning quarterbacking, also called hindsight.

And if they went for two, they still would have lost...Mahomes is inevitable!
I must admit… I was surprised the kicker came on the field. Go Chiefs
Let’s say the Chiefs get the false start penalty. They are still deep in the red zone with Pat and Andy at the helm in OT. In what world do the Chiefs not win the game given the situation?
Bucs fan here….should’ve just went for it! Then up to defense to keep Patrick from doing anything…just don’t give him anytime!!! Don’t be scared
But they did give them time by calling time out. And when they did that, I thought they was gonna go for it. And just think that chiefs had like a six minute drive before then
Patrick Mahomes is clutch when it matters most he turns it up. Can anyone beat the Chiefs? I would say the Detroit Lions maybe
Kyle is a hater! Go Chiefs!!
The Chiefs are missing, I think 6 starters, why do I not here the Chiefs are overcoming major adversity.
Because the media and fans are too busy pushing the fake narrative of the refs being in the chiefs pocket. Basically, logic doesn’t exist anymore.
the Chiefs are down like 6 of our play makers so stop making excuses for teams with they are down players.
Yeah but now they have D Hop, that's a game changer, literally. 3-peat inbound.
13 seconds

I love being a fan of the most hated team in the NFL that isn't the Cowboys 😅
I love the chiefs haters that’s why we will win back 2 back 2 back goooo chiefssss
Just saying, if carsen wentz actually had to play, wentz could do it.
Really suprised Tampa did not go for two after they scored last night
Mahomes and Andy are not afraid to win.
They are not afraid to win...

Look the Chiefs are the Champs for a reason. If they go for the 2points and don't make it you'll find something else to blame it on

Chiefs would have won anyway…38 seconds 3 time outs 4 downs…down 1 best kicker in game Mahomes…go for two would have been fun for 38 seconds 😂

They had better odds going for two instead of forcing overtime where mahomes rarely loses
Title misleading. There's only one "Takeaway," and it's BS.
Defense ruined another Great, Baker Mayfield performance 😒
its the one chip wonder guy Mr lactose intolerant.
Change OT rules
Chiefs woulda won even if they got the 2.
If ur the worse team u go for two and steal the win

Yeah, I’m sure the refs wanted to stay their extra time soaking in the rain. I can’t believe they threw away the script and made it go to overtime.
Refs once again gave the Chiefs the win.
