I quite like Jeremy. Also, I really like when they play games that THEY like to play....it's almost a guarantee that we will get to hear Ray speaking enthusiastically. As well as having a pretty legit game play and commentary from everyone else. It's nice.
Sadly this won't get half the amount of views a gta or Minecraft video will get.

It also has to do with this being an actual shooter. Ray's always one of the more prominent in shooters like Halo, CoD, and Battlefield since he's usually one of the only ones actually good at the game.
Not true. There are plenty of other recent videos were he is just mopey and sounds like he wants out of the video. And no excuses for him, as this is his job.

I wish I could upvote this more then once. Man talk about great memories, not so much 1943 but the ultimate best Battlefield..1942..sunk so many hours with friends and even bots..so much fun. Thanks for posting this and reminding me how much fun I had with this.

The reload sound of the M1 Garand is one of the most satisfying sounds in video games imo. This game and Medal of Honor Allied Assault are stellar examples

Modern graphics, fun gameplay and hardly any bugs. The original vision of battlefield and games as a whole.
The game was absolutely miserable on launch, though.
But if it happens to bf4 and everyone loses their minds.

Bf2 had shitty hitboxes until 20...09 I wanna say? When the last patch hit.
The simplicity, the arcade like gameplay with still enough strategy and teamwork required to make it a Battlefield game, The graphics that still hold up today, the setting,weapons, and vehicles, no unlocks/grinding for things, the BC2 style destruction, this was the most fun and enjoyable Battlefield game ever. They barely developed it and threw it out there with only 2 teams, like 10 weapons, 8 vehicles, and 5 maps, and I'd say it's better than the games that they spent twice the amount of time, effort, and resources in. If they made it a fully fledged sequel to 1942 and released it on PC with all of the maps, factions, weapons, and vehicles from 1942, I'd still be playing it 24/7 to this day.

It's because by now anyone who doesn't like Matt and Jeremy just dislike the video and move on. You can only stay angry at something for so long. I mean, I still don't like them but I like Ray, Geoff and Ryan.

Lots of people have said it before, of the people who hate the B team, most like Jeremy. I don't know why people don't like Lindsay or Kdin (I guess because of personal opinions) but a lot of the people that hate on these videos, don't like Matt the most.

Sreven199 uhuh did you know that counterstrike has much better graphics than the original game, this is i believe a remaster, so you cannot judge.
And did you know that valve created half life, that gmod was based off, then counterstrike was based off half life mods, and then counterstrike remastered it, trying to keep some attributes

i slightly remember that, but anyone have vietnam? i have the disk somewhere (its like 5 disks) and last time i checked there was actually multiplayer! i remember on one map there was a boat you can spawn in, and a cargobob like helicopter, long story short there were endless waves of english soldiers parachuting out of a boat above the enemy base

First Battlefield I bought, fell in love, bought everyone since, f***king love it, pure fun. Japan or America, this is always epic. Nothing better than getting strafed by a fighter, landing on beach, charging a hill and fighting for every inch of that island, anyone else agree?

I know where Ray's coming from, it was so cool to see my name on the #1 spot for SKATE 3's Hall of Meat mode. I held it for a couple days before losing the spot, after that though I would always be somewhere in the top 3 for the next few weeks and every once and awhile be #1 again. Always got messages from players saying I was the top player in Hall of Meat.

Can you imagine a full remake of BF1942, with these graphics? Thrown in the realism and attention to detail regarding equipment and vehicles that the Forgotten Hope mod had, and it would be the best game ever.

How has call of duty been able to compete with battlefield
GREAT question. I think it because people see a map bigger than 1 room and think its way too big. Or think there is never any action. People who play cod fear new things and refuse to change. Every cod fan i show battlefield to that i know say it looks way more fun than cod. Yet play cod anyway.
dartmauler56 Battlefield requires a LOT more teamwork if it's to be really successful, but with CoD you can go "lone wolf" it. So that's a reason why.
Ze-TopHat-Gamer CoD is more rewarding for people who have less time to play. I am a fan of CoD although the last 2 have been pretty meh. BF4 is fun but it rarely ever feels as intense unless you are playing TDM or Rush. The other issue with Battle Field games is that it takes forever to unlock things. I get that people like working towards stuff but for people like me, being able to play unlock things in CoD quickly is nice.
It isn't about fearing new things. I mean, BF3 and 4 are not really that different. BF4 is almost the same game with better textures. CoD does change quite a bit from each game contrary to popular opinion. Also, the server browser in BF is a headache. I prefer the quick match making in CoD.
The key thing you said is that it looks more fun than CoD. It is fun but for me it just doesn't have the same appeal as CoD unless I am playing with friends.

I just played Battlefield 1942, this is so nostalgic.
I miss this game so much. When I was playing at my potential I was dam near 1st every game on my team and in all. I avg 30kills all the time. granted it was because I would throw 2 grenades, switch bazooka fire, switch to rifle fire back to grenades etc. the speed of switching was all in all the reason for this. lots of times throwing 2 grenades up hill got me kills or throwing at feet of enemy before switching killing dieing myself and then grenades would go off. Tank play was really easy once you got into a good position. without a doubt the best game play I ever did in all my years. miss it.

Battlefield 1942 is one of my favorite WW2 games. I still have all of my original disks for the games and expansions.
I remember Battlefield 1942. Me and my brothers used to play the broken-ass demo as much as we could.
