Pro tip I just noticed when I rewatched this time: KEEP YOUR ELBOW DOWN BY YOUR SIDE like you're gonna shake hands. 100% the reason I kept getting tangled up in the string and was straining my shoulder that I'd have my elbow out
Im sorry to tell, but the only way to get the damn string outta the way, is to PRACTICE!!! Theres no magic trick to get the damn string outta the way. You need to have experience with juggles. The more you do it, the more the string is not a problem. The same goes with all tricks.
Coming back here after yearssss 😅.. For those going at it, i managed to do 5 in about a week. just try to cushion the tama higher to give u more time. When the tama comes down, bend your knees to get into the rhythm. Shift ur eyes left and right to watch the ball and tama at the same time so u can get a better grip. (even if u dont get a good ken flip, just toss it up). Yall got it! 💪🏽
Something that really helped me was just actually throwing a second juggle even if you dont have perfect ken flips. Might just be an issue i had but if you cant throw the second juggle, dont worry about grabbing it perfect, just throw it and keep the rhythm.
@@Rogue_Ranger columns is a type of juggling pattern where the items you are juggling simply go up and down, 2 in one hand means you are juggling 2 items (Ken and tama, in this instance) in one hand without them crossing paths, and if you learn how to do that pattern with just balls or something first, you get the movement down and then you just have to worry about flipping the ken when you try juggling with a kendama
Every time I do more than two juggles, my string ends up tangling around the ken. I use a 4 finger string, so does anyone have tips to avoid this? It’s so annoying to always end up accidentally yanking after 2 jugs

There's definitely a mental game to it as well! 💚
Best breakdown and instruction on this trick I've seen! Love it!
My biggest problem is catching the ken and not being able to get it off in time. Anyone have advice?
Throw the tama a little bit higher if you lack time; this helped me out a lot with juggles
Learn 2 in one hand columns in normal juggling and you are set for life.
@@jacobwaugh1669 what do you mean by that exactly?

Try with longer string
Your string has to be at least 4 to 5 fingers long
