I'm Dominican and, I have to say that I feel disgusted by Caribbeans/Latin America and Africans politicians, We have the worst politicians in the world. They use our money to send their kids to the best universities in Europe, United States and Canada, while ours children struggle to have a basic education. Until we start hanging corrupt politicians and gangsters, we won't move forward. Every so called first world country today, started with very strong Judicial system.

The very first time that I took account for Haiti poverty was in 2013 when I visited Barbados for the first time. There were no direct flights so ours was from PauP to St. Martin. When we were landing in St. Martin my draw drop. I couldn't believe my eyes...
It was breathtaking! The entire flight was amazing. We landing as we watch the seashore. People were in such great mood. Such a drastic difference from even landing in PauP which showcase total poverty.
Haiti is only under-develop...Nothing impossible. Only the right leadership.
The fight is ours and I rest assured that HT will swiftly take a positive route.

I always said it and will continue to say it no matter who gets offended. Biggest difference between both has always been political competency and cultural difference between both countries. Haiti{s govt has been #1 key role in haiti{s instability since their beginning of their creation as a country. Boyer, dessalines and christophe are the real reason why both Nations real issues came about with all the massacres that never seem to be spoken about and the leftist media tries to hide of what these criminals did to the Dominican population of back then, this is why Dominicans are the way they are with Haitians because these problems still go on till this day both sides have deeply rooted hate for one another and it needs to stop. My solution for these things to completely get resolve is if Haitians break ties with the leftist extremists groups in AMerica and stop buying into the whole racial bigotry ideology this has and will always be a problem in America but it seems like Many Haitians have bought into it. Neither Haitians nor my folks innocent of what will be consider racism in AMerica. What needs to happen for Haitians to get their country back on track before anything is to build a better Relationship with Dominicans. There needs to be a Haitian leader that actually loves his country and people and understands their faults so he can establish better diplomatic relationships with DR. their can't be a better Haiti if they do not cooperate with their neighbors and i'm speaking more on the business side of things than anything else. It happened during Leonel fernandez presidency as much as i hated that corrupt F&^$ he still built a university and hospital in Haiti and believe me if Haitian politicians stopped making matters worse for Haitians by publicly declaring Dominicans as racists like Joseph claude this current govt and future govt would absolutely invest in Haiti as it will help Haitian infrastructure and also decrease immigration. Not everything is about "feelings" if it were about feelings and emotions Dominicans wouldn't have opened up it's arms to Haitians after that horrible earthquake in 2010. Like i said diplomacy needs to be the #1 priority in Haiti's govt before any real change occurs. I do not wish bad on any human and specially Haitians as i have known many in my lifetime and many that took part in my life and now i half a Haitian half brother. Most importantly... it is of Haitians best interest like i said before not to buy into the AA's racial identity crisis because that will absolutely not help Haitians in anyway shape of form.

Hope you enjoy your stay in the Dominican Republic. We Dominicans are very hospitable people. That's why we are the number one tourist destination in the Caribbean. I hope you have a great experience in our country.
We are still a developing country and we still have a long road ahead to get to where we want to be as a country. But our country makes big investments every year in all areas to make sure we get there.
Haiti has the potential to do the same. Hopefully this time Haitians will elect a president that will work to get Haiti out the hole that it's been in for decades. Haiti cannot afford to keep falling behind the rest of the world. It needs to start catching up fast.

This here situation is like living in a large duplex, each side is occupied by a different family, one takes it upon itself to clean up and paint theirs. The other one allows theirs overrun by rodents and molds. One giant chunk of land sitting in the Atlantic Ocean. Love your opening monologue(neg yo mechan)forgive ‘em father for they know not what they do. Only pertains to the people but not those that are in charge because they travel they oughta know better. Haiti is a little over half the size of Dominican Republic, but due to Haitis shape and geography it has 300 miles more coastline and more arable land. It’s a 1.5 hour flight from Florida , 3 from NY, 4 from Canada where most of the Haitian diaspora is located. The opportunities and tools are there but the lack of unity , political instability, social harmony , lack of organization , and poor diplomacy doesn’t help it move forward. The number 1 priority should be a dialogue where all sectors sit in the same table and agree on a new constitution and a plan to move the country forward. It’s hard when there’s a stubborn willingness to change or conform , especially when the people can never agree on anything.

Because what’s going with Haiti is out of Haiti’s control, it does not matter who’s running the country nothing will ever change why because the power that be is not going to allow it. The oppressor is not going to give up their power. We as a nation will have to take it with the help of GOD. We cannot fight this beast GOD will have to do it. I hope you understand

Yes Haiti failure is on the leadership but the bulk of it is from outside entities. Majority of its time since it independence has been spent in debt, sanctions, being occupied by the US etc. The last president was assassinated by foreigners bc he dared to try take measures against drug trafficking for god sake. But I will say, In some ways Haiti could never succeed and was not allowed to because it needed to be/remain as proof that a independent black nation could not survive without being lead by their colonizers.

You need to go and ask Haitians, would you rather freedom or your family being able to eat, grow, and acquire education. Because the Haitians already have their freedom, and many suffer. when will be the time to switch?
I agree that having someone that can represent Haitian people JUSTLY in working internationally will be key before change can occur, but it looks like a lot of pride going on while their baby sister is hungry??? Im not saying let another country take over fully but somethings gotta give.
Thats what the people need to decide, revolution for another 60 years or a revelation for true change. I know there is corruption at the top, do you think it won't happen again? We know human nature time and time again in the Bible, so why not cut a deal where there's a mandatory standard of living increase for all Haitians and then we look rekindling that Haitian Pride
Revolution for change not freedom is the answer I believe...time to work with others SMARTLY.
