Thanks, it is as you say, perfect for Christmas etc so sadly it will be put away now for next year! Thanks so much for taking the time to watch and comment 😊💚
Carole, your new blouse is beautiful and I really like that fabric. Maybe if you put a gold button right at the top of the front pleat, it will emphasize it. It really looks so nice on you. Nice job! Happy New Year. ❤
Thank you so much for your comment. You may be right about some sort of button to emphasise the pleat, I shall have a look in my stash. I appreciate you taking the time to watch and Happy New Year to you too 😊💚
Such beautiful fabric and perfect for the holiday. This is a great pattern and those sleeves make it even more special. It seems that the front inverted pleat was reduced when the sides were narrowed. You look lovely!
Hello and thank you for your comment. You could very well be right about losing the emphasis of the pleat but the top was quite shapeless on me without the reduction. I did consider adding ties at the side or even fish eye darts in the back but went for the easy option in the end. I still think though in a plainer fabric I could have got away with it. Happy New Year and thanks for watching 😊💚
I really like the blouse and think it is just beautiful in that print - reminds me of a William Morris or Liberty of London inspired type of fabric. I think the details work with the print because they help shape the fabric so it's not just a boxy blouse, especially since you took some in on the sides, too. It is quite elegant!
Thanks so much, you are right it isn't dissimilar to a Liberty print! It did turn out to me one of my most favourite makes of last year actually and I wore it a lot. Thanks again for your comment and watching my review. 🧵😊

It is a busy print and it’s a little difficult to see the pleat but what a perfect fabric drape for that pattern! I like the sleeve alteration you did, and I really appreciate your Lutterloh videos. My sister just gave me hers.
I completely agree with you on the print being wrong for that pattern, thanks for your comment! It would be nicer in a plainer fabric for sure so you can see the pleated sleeves. Well I think you made a beautiful job of this blouse Carole. It looks so stylish, but I do agree that it would look very much nicer in a plain fabric. Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment. The only thing I didn't like about the fabric was it had lurex and I had a previous fabric almost identical that made me itch so much! What did you do with yours in the end?! A binding would have been fine but I thought they pleat may look a little strange with it as I wanted the start to come from the neckline. Don't worry I only do simple things with Lutterloh as well as you may know. I see people on the facebook group making jackets and coats etc! Sounds like you have a lot of success with the fitting which is amazing. Like you I really like the look of the culottes but because I am short I think they could make me look shorter. @@shellyscott8275 that is so true! Sudoku or Brain puzzles were never enjoyable to me to keep my brain cells ticking over but this certainly does plus you get to feel like a ‘real’ dressmaker drafting your own patterns! ☺️👏🏻. Good luck x
i have an old Lutterloh system that I bought years ago. It has a simple tee shirt as a pattern. I was wondering if i could make a toile out of it to compare other patterns to it to get a good fit. What do you think about this idea, since it will be to ones measurements.
Hello there and thank you so much for your comment. If I were you I would certainly have a go at drawing it out and then compare it. For me as I have small shoulders using the upper bust measurement for above the bust works best and the full bust measurement for every thing below. The first patterns I did were just too big on the shoulders otherwise. I will be really interested to know how you get on, a basic T shirt pattern is something I don't have with my Lutterloh and I could do with that! 😊💚
Your blouse is beautiful and really suits you. If you hadn’t been gifted the lutterloh product would you have bought it yourself. I’ve had a look at the product and I’m quite interested in it but is it easily mastered. Do you use it a lot or do you prefer a paper pattern?
Thanks for your comment Sandra and you asked a really good question. My answer would be no as the cost is really high, that is of course very short sighted as in the long run you are given so many patterns you could use which would cost a fortune if you bought them one by one. Another stumbling block for me and a lot of people is that you don't have any instructions for the patterns. Yes you get a general insight into how to construct but you are on your own with the order and processes. This is why as you may have noticed I stick to simpler designs. Having said all that, it is great fun to do and lots of people get far better results than the proper patterns. For me, I still love a paper pattern, already done with full instructions so I don't have to think.....but every now and again....I like the challenge!! 😊💚

Please let me know if you do make the top. Thanks again 😊🧵
@@socarole66 Now ordered, so I’ll keep you posted ! Must say there’s a couple of other things in the supplement which look promising too 🤞 I’m really enjoying this - good to have something to exercise the “little grey cells” 😆 !!!
@@socarole66 thank you for your honest opinion, I just liked the look of it as I have tried to self draft from measurements with mixed results.
@@sandraleybourne7106 in that case you certainly sound qualified enough to have a go at Lutterloh! See if you can pick up one second hand. 😊🧵
