this is one of the best 80's revival pop songs i've heard. he nailed that sound. I can totally picture it playing over the credits at the end of some awesome 80's movie. This could totally be a Pretenders song. Really impressive.
Facts, bro! When it came on the radio, I immediately Shazam'ed it and was pleasantly surprised to find out it was Gus Dapperton. I couldn't put my finger on what it was about this song, and you absolutely nailed it -- that echo-y, ethereal '80s vibe. Hopefully there's still time to redeem the 2020s to even be a fraction like the wonderful '80s.

I FUCKING LOVE THIS SO MUCH.. I was in a car crash 10/19/2020. I should have died but my car had a million airbags. I hit a barrier going fast and ended up flipping really bad. I had to be cut out of my car, I only know this because my hair is very long and there’s a nice chunk missing. I almost died. There is 12 hours that I don’t remember from that night to early morning. Before my crash this song made me so happy and upbeat. I wanted to dance and just sing. For some reason this song just makes me bawl my eyes out. I try to sing but it’s so hard when you’re crying lol. Thankfully I’m back home. Won’t be able to walk for a while. It’ll take a lot of physical therapy to help me. I have titanium plates and screws in my face and jaw and in my leg and ankle and foot. This song is so powerful because whether I’m happy or sad I still find joy in it. Such a masterpiece really, and I love how everyone is so into the song. Music really is amazing ❤️
