You're doing a wonderful job. I was a nanny for neonate triplets and know what it's like to feed one at a time the moment they begin to stir.
Men's mess is enough to drive me crazy.
Ell, I was on my own with my pair (it was 40+ years ago) but I used to swear blind by bouncy chairs. You can feed them both at once. As for winding, one over your legs and one over your shoulder to burp both at once. You are doing great!

The boys are getting so big. They have grown so much. I love how Noah have a conversation with Dad...his little smile is priceless. Mom, enjoy the moments whenever Ari sleeps while Noah is awake. Perhaps he's giving you a break...look at it as a blessing while one sleeps and the other eats. They're absolutely adorable and growing fast. Mom and Dad you are doing a great job...Thanks for sharing your Light with us 🙏

This brings back so many memories. The colic/reflux days with twins are hell but it doesn’t last long and will soon be a distant memory. I would love to tell you it gets easier but there are just different challenges my two are 20 months now and running circles around me everyday. Literally.

@@fabandell absolutely! My youngest of five is now 12. I've had 16 continual years of puberty. As one was growing out of it another would be starting. Sixteen years - my god I need a medal 🤣🤣 My twelve year old is on the verge - send help 🤣🥰
My mum had twin sisters on her own, she would feed one, then wake the other and get them into a routine of one is fed first and then the other. It’s hard but it does work.

Ellen you are a real star the way you manage them both and having a good sob is nothing to worry about, we have 5 boys and no twins and that was hard enough. I used to put an extra scoop of milk powder in last feed to fill them up so they sleep longer.(don’t tell health visitor!!) I’m sure I will get comments but my boys are aged 17-27 now and all fine🤣xxxx
We do the same! The babieS are normally more hungry before bed and they only eat what they want! Xxx
That's nothing. Apparently my nan used to put a bit of whiskey in my bottle of milk to get me to sleep. 😃 Didn't our parents also put rusks in our bottles so we'd sleep longer?

@@fabandell no you should never do that as you can give your babies tummy ache! If the milk doesn't fill them up you move them on to hungry baby milk or later baby rice.

I would definitely love to see how you do the evening shift! I think you're doing a fantastic job with the babies on your own! I agree with you both on dropping the one feed, you just need to gauge what the boys want and if you noticed they are not wanting to feed at half past 5 then skip it, they will definitely let you know when they decide their hungry! Wish they had them pillows when I had my rwimlns 25 years ago. We used to have to feed ours with both sat between our legs on floor. As ours always fed at the same time. The boys are soo cute. X

Yes my first twin burps very easily while the second one the tiny one takes forever to burp. Lovely video and you are doing a great job. One of my twins is also double birth weight but the other is close and has gained some. Thank you for the side feeding tip.

The babies are really growing well. Just trust your instincts about when to feed them. Throw your clock away ( metaphorically) and feed them when they let you know they’re hungry.
Hi guys. Only 3 minutes into video so apologies if you talk about them but maybe worth a try Dr Browns feeding bottles for babies with colic or colic tendencies, 2 of my grandchildren had these and they made a world of difference, just thought I’d mention it. Ooohh don’t be tempted by the ones from Boots, they didn’t work at all, but everyone is different. Much love to the 4 of you xxxx

Little burping tip
Sit baby up, support head under chin (between thumb and first finger) put a Little pressure below the ribs and use the other hand to push them up to straighten them up . Burp!!.

One thing you could do which helps, is to not change their nappies at the 5.30am feed. Just get them down for another hour or 2. When they are sleeping through the night you wont change their bums...they'll be fine, and will help them go back off to sleep if you dont wake them so much. God bless you, youre both doing brilliantly!

Hi! I’m due with twins in October, I just wondered what works best for you with night feedings. Do you & your partner do shifts during the night or do you both get up every time they wake during the night? :)

It's crazy how much different it is with twins compared to 1. They're absolutely beautiful and you smash it big time 🙌🙌💙💙my friend has triplets (natural conceived 🤯I know) & how they do it I just don't know 🤦🏼♀️oh with our daughter she wasn't allowed home until she could do every 3hours she was 6week prem. The first night she did every 2hours & after that I was like the hospital said that you do 3 hours so no ,so we made sure that she did 3hours then 🤦🏼♀️I sound slightly brutal I've just realised but she was fine -she coming up 9🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🌻

When you are both feeding the boys one each I mean why do you feed away from you. ?
I had four babies singletons not multiples and until number 4 I breastfed. Number 4 had dairy allergy so was on soy and back in 91 it was gross. Anyway I was told to hold her at same angle as if I was breastfeeding which was hard as to me it felt alien using a bottle. Then I realised it didn’t matter she. Needed food.
If they are on an angle away from you can you still give eye contact ?
Please this is not criticism just a question.

Hello fab and ell. And boys. Omg the twins are soooo adorable❤️❤️. I have twins in my family I have two children of my own. But a few years ago I baby sat my niece's twins I had one foot on the bouncer keeping one twin quiet and other one holding rocking him. I take my hat of to you both it was a handful. But same time I loved it thankyou so much for sharing. Loved the video 💕🤗👍👍
I feel your pain with how fast they outgrow their clothes! My 5 month old just went into 12-18 months clothes 😳 I've found there's a lot of difference in the brands though, I used to go by the weight on the tag as they are different for example Asda ran quite small in 0-3.

My son is a couple of weeks shy of turning 3 and he woke up every single hour of every single night for 2 of those 3 years. And although I was married, it was like being a single parent within the relationship, so I handled having the baby all day and night alone. This last year it has been just my son and I as we left the UK back to my home country, but my son has started sleeping better -due to age I suppose, though he still wakes up twice a night or so. At first I wasn't worried too much about being awake all night as I was diagnosed with severe insomnia when I was younger, but during the night when I couldn't sleep, I at least rested. Now with a child, resting is not possible, so I'm just counting down the days until he is able to manage better on his own with age (at the same time, not wanting to miss his being a little one). Well done on working together as a supportive team and handling being twin parents! The time really does go fast and you'll miss their newborn selves where they crunch up their little legs and give the best snuggles. You're doing a great job!

Your making the bottles wrong you put the water first not the powder its too rich for them to digest

I've always done water first to as the ratio is wrong otherwise

@@fabandell I've always used cow and Gate and that's what it says to add water first then powder
They use the prep machine which is why they probably do powder first as the machine measures the correct amount of water out for you. Water first when using the kettle 🙂 x
When my twins were babies, we put the bottles in the dishwasher. Yes it’s probably not recommended but it saved much needed time, and they’re going in the steriliser after so should be fine. When you’re on your own try some white noise (app) for the baby waiting to feed, was a life saver for me when they are too little to master feeding both x

Yeah my 6month old doesnt sleep trough the night. And even thonits normal that some babys dont i hate it when other poeple go oh my baby slept trough the night since 7weeks old im like great for u. Thx that doesnt help me now does it

They sleep in the same cot which was advised as they are obviously so close in my tummy :) we were worried about sids when they were tiny but you just need to follow safety precautions

I LOVE watching your videos and seeing the boys .You and Fab are doing such a wonderful job in their early months which are never easy with one baby let alone two! Really enjoy how realistic you are ( loved the comment - I live with a man - why are your dishes in the sink when the dishwasher is right here!) We have all been there and said that as well.......Stay happy and well and catch sleep when you can!
