At the 5 year mark, it's about time that AEW shed those contracts for talents for which they have no further use:
Mark Henry
Big Show
Danhausen
Ricky Starks (who is apparently not going to re-sign, so he has been removed from TV)
Miro
Iron Savages
Dark Order (though they could do some backstage things)
Most of RoH (but bring up Athena, Mark Briscoe, the Righteous, Billie Starkz, and the Renegade Twins to be Monet's heel entourage)
WARDLOW (let the man go to WWE already and join the midcard there)
The roster was too bloated, and they clearly have worked out their rotation.

most of the AEW guys came in because of cody. Cody's gone, and they are leaving with him... Hell pretty sure thats why sting left too.
As long as MJF, Kenny Omega, Takeshita & Bandido are still in AEW, I could care less who leaves AEW.
I can see MJF and Takeshita going to WWE in the next couple of years
@@JonathanPer_JackHammerSalm If that happens, AEW should just give up & quit. They really don't have anybody except those 4, Powerhouse Hobbs, Malakai Black, Jay White & Kyle O 'Reilly. I completely forgot about Hobbs. He had a great thing going for him on his own with his Book of Hobbs gimmick & then they put him in a group again & lost momentum. Out of the 8 total that I listed, 4 of them are all injured & the 4 that aren't are in the mid card scene when they should be in the main event scene. The AEW World title/main event scene rn feels like a mid card title/mid card scene.
@@cesarcanete3402 those names you have mentioned have been wasted by the elite and being on the sidelines, this is what Punk was on about. badly booked people and by losing Punk and his influence which is based on heymans style. all this did was expose the elite for what they are, glory hounds. Omega is finally starting to realise that his fellow EVP's are more of a problem than a solution
@@JonathanPer_JackHammerSalm You're probably right. I mean, the Anarchy in the Arena match is booked more important than the AEW World Title match. The AEW World title match feels more like a mid card championship match than a main event world title match.
@@cesarcanete3402 the problem is Moxley is getting really lazy and his matches are becoming and Danielson has been booked so badly because the elite will always want to be on top despite what they say.
I can't believe I have to say something so trivial, but not every person who leaves AEW or allows their contract to run out is "done" with the company. Mark on several very recent occasions had nothing but praise for the company. It's fine for a company and a talent to part ways at some point. AEW signed a lot of contracts in the 5 years since its inception that have proven to be either pointless or a surplus to their needs. I'm not saying Mark is one of those, but what if he is?

No surprise if Mark goes back to WWE. If you listen to Busted Open, when he first signed with AEW he was very critical of WWE creative...but over the past year, he has been praising everything WWE.

Idk about Paul Wight, but Mark Henry did a fantastic job mentoring/developing Powerhouse Hobbs. He's main event/world championship material rn. He's just very poorly booked. I honestly would've made him Champion instead of Swerve.
AEW is fucking dead
It’s been dead since the Young Fucks and Jungle Jackass ran off CM Punk then used footage of him to get the cheapest of Pops which hilariously backfired on them
They suck rn, but AEW is far from dead. They're currently worth 2 billion dollars, loved by their network & will most likely get renewed this year with more AEW content seeing that the NBA will be gone after next season.

@@ahmedmaklad6527 AEW would've been already cancelled if it was all about the ratings.Plus they just got a new show on TBS's YT channel, so I don't the WBD wouldn't do that if AEW wouldn't be renewed. They're most likely to get renewed because their TV contract is affordable & the NBA will be gone after next season. The NBA is WBD's money maker & with them gone means all attention goes to AEW.

If we can get Mark Henry back in a WWE contract I’ll be so happy! Especially if we can have him in 2K25! Let’s hope Big Show, Jericho, and Edge comes back too .
