Hey Guys,
We hope all of you are doing well in these crazy times we’re living in. This has been a bit of a tough week for our family but we try to live life by the belief that God is in control, everything happens for a reason, and ultimately everything will work to our good!
One great way to deal with stress and worry is to focus on something detailed. Obviously, for me, that’s braiding and maybe it can be your “Happy Place” too!
This week’s style is a super simple braided headband that we call the “Alternate Braid Band”. This is a beautiful braid that is great by itself or can be used as an accent to another style! Check it out and let us know what you think!

That is SO pretty!! And easy enough that I might even be able to try it on my own hair, LOL! (My one shoulder won't let me do anything that requires much effort from it.)
Here's a question: If you're doing a hairstyle that requires a braid on each side of the head - like this one does - do you make the braids a mirror image? For example, say you start the one on the right side of the head taking the right strand (from the "front" of the head) over the middle one as the first stitch, then left (from the "back" of the head) over the center, etc. When you do the braid on the left side of the head, do you start with the right strand (the "back" of the head on this side) over the middle? Or do you start with the left strand (the "front" of the head on this side) over the middle?
Is that question clear at all? If you could see my hands I could make it really clear, LOL! (If you tied up my hands I couldn't talk at all. 😄 )
I understood your explanation and it’s a great question!
In this situation I don’t think it really matters. I suppose it’s really up to the stylist as well as the style.
But if you’re doing a French style rope twist on each side, to me it matters.
