This just shows that the TKO board and The Rock have no business anywhere near the actual product itself and should strictly deal with branding and sponsorship. In less than 1 week, they completely destroyed the current on TV storyline, made Seth look like a loser and made Cody look extremely week. The payoff from Rock vs Roman is a one time thing. Those viewers will be gone again after wrestlemania. Those viewers are not the people that buy merch and go to live shows and PLE's. So you've risked your entire fan base for a one time pop. That's what happens when a company gets taken over by a Corporation. The other side is now your "biggest" match of the year already has hate and discontent on it. You've already put yourself behind the curve before it even happened.
What yall dont see is the bigger picture ... the Rock n Roman should of happened last year but scheduling problems on the Rocks side... Cody n Seth is a better matchup ... n if Cody wins that title then go after Roman to Unfie at Summerslam that means he would have both titles thats better for Cody's story... Priest will have a failed attempt an lost the briefcase ... because they r not going to push him this year or Truth is going to mess up Priest's attempt n his loses the case
When finishing the story has been the ultimate narrative for Cody after WrestleMania loss last year then it is best we get good short term booking having a guy like Rhodes who has been the best genuine babyface WWE had in ages win royal rumble twice in a row and get screwed out of the win by either bloodline or rock was the payoff then yea wwe has not only destroyed all the trust of the fanbase which they built over the year but also derailed the momentum of the best storyline of a generation@@michaelseanholmes8279
@@michaelseanholmes8279 unifying the titles would literally ruin the purpose of the WHC, and it's been so overdone at this point. No titles should be on 1 person for a long time. That's why I don't want Gunther to win WHC until he loses IC.

Crazy that you said that. Cause I remember as soon as I was about to give up on wrestling, that’s when I decided to check out nxt. it was Takeover New Orleans. The opening match alone I was already hooked. Ciampa and Gargano were the icing on the cake that night.

I was at nxt takeover brooklyn. stopped watching the regular product. then nxt died and I gave Aew a chance. 2021 2022 were some of the best years ever. last year seemed like alot of wwe copies. This year Aew is back to form.

Honestly, if the Rock wanted to be at Mania they could have had him as special guest referee in the Cody vs Roman match almost entirely as a Bloodline interference deterrent. IT WAS RIGHT FKN THERE! RIGHT THERE LADS! Solo/Jimmy interfere? Rock bottom, rock bottom, roman distracted, cross rhodes 3 times, pin, 123 clean. Roman walks away blaming the rock (book that match for whenever you fkn want after that, at least now it makes sense.) Cody finishes the story, Randy walks out to congratulate him BAM RKO and a punt, theres your first feud for cody on smackdown.

Cody is the first to make me interested in 15 years. I love the rock, I watched WM 17. But it’s been 23 years. I’ve seen the Rock show. I was only watching to see Cody finis the story. If it’s rock I won’t watch. I’ve seen that

If people want what’s best for business AND a storyline that makes sense, Rock should serve as special guest referee for Cody Vs Roman at Mania, Cody wins and then we have Rock vs Roman at a Saudi show. That way they make the most money and the storyline still makes sense, it’s that simple.
It just seems like its staring them in the face. I thought that with Vince gone, we didnt have to worry about this kind of BS anymore.

Ive been a fan for 30+ yrs. I was at Rocks debut and his last Austin match. Never thought I would see the day he would become Hulk Hogan and politic his way into the main event of Mania, ignore fans desire, kill yrs long storylines and crap all over the full time talent just to feed his ego.
We are still getting rock Vs Roman That raw was to make sure they didn't have another 3 days of bad publicity I mean Nia Jax is definitely beating Ripley They are selling how 'australian' 'she is To sugar pill Jay is definitely beating Gunter And bayley was pulled from' show amid rumours they are trying to push namoi into that spot
Even after CM Punk got injured we were set for a stupendous (remember that) Wrestlemania. So the idea that this nonsense was to "save" Wrestlemania the lie detector says that was a lie. Roman needs to drop the title. Some are saying he'll pass Hogan's record but for God's sake please no. Hell last Roman did almost nothing with the title.
Buddy is too much of an AEW mark to even talk about wwe. 100 AEw matches better than any Seth Rollins match but couldn’t name 1.

how about this: Cody told Roman i will take everything away from you but not at Mania so what if Cody "struck a deal" with Nick aldis to face Roman at Elimination chamber so then Cody wins the Championship and faces Randy at Mania and then Rock vs Roman can happen at Mania aswell but for tribal chief title and i would even argue for Rock to go over so that Roman really lost everthing so what you guys think ?
We haven't waited two years for Cody to win the title at a secondary PPV.

WWE has 3 world championships, I’m Still trying to figure out how/when they separate or consolidated the WWE & Universal title lineages. Roman is walking around with 1 belt representing two title reigns.
It was when he got his new gold belt to replace the 2 belts. They still consider the title runs as such, like Braun Strowman has been universal champ but not WWE champ. Similar to world heavyweight runs. World championships yes, but not the WWE championship.
@@lukestark3 the lineage of both belts is still ongoing though. i.e. reigns is on his 1,249th day as Universal champion (at the time of writing this).
We are getting 2 x triple threat title matches at Mania. Codey v Rock v Reigns and then Sami v Drew v Rollins. seems like this is what they’re building to now the Rock has forced his way in. After the backlash since Friday I don’t think WWE would be stupid enough to count Rhodes out completely. the fact they were doing damage control and acknowledging it on Raw makes it obvious.
WWE is brilliant.
1. Nobody is talking about Vince or Lesnar anymore
2. EVERYONE is talking about the top baby face and top heel.
3. We've got the Rock back in WWE for WrestleMania.
Bottomline: we're still 2 months away and as with any pro wrestling show...CARD SUBJECT TO CHANGE.
And even though "kayfabe is dead"...confusion and frustration amongst fans is the new way to generate interest. Raw & Smackdown are must watch to see what happens next.

Yes, there have been black champions of the big gold, starting with Ron Simmons bodying Vader in the most stunning physical feat I’ve still ever seen, but until WM35 we knew there was a difference. It doesn’t help when the people on tv are sitting there telling you this other belt isn’t as important as the untouchable one.
It’s also time Reigns has a difference match structure than Jinder Mahal had w/the Bollywood Boys. I’m bored to tears with henchmen interference + signature being the only match they can do.

I still see Cody vs Roman happening, sure they said Rock will be at WM, but they didn't say in what capacity.. He'll be the special guest referee.
My way out of this. Make the rock the special guest enforcer. Like he did for the Cena Miz match. Rock is there just to make sure that the bloodline doesn’t do any shenanigans. Cody wins Roman blames the rock, then you can have Roman versus the rockat one of the Saudi Arabia shows or Summer slam
Rock needs to call Roman out, Hayman comes out and says "you don't get to jump the line, you need to prove yourself before you face the Tribal chief"
Solo spikes Rock from behind to set up a match between them at WM, leaving Cody / Roman for WM XL and saving Rock / Roman for a later date.
Right now for me the best option is to make a fatal 4 away. Rollins, Roman, Rock, Cody. Rock Wins in Elimination Chamber, Roman gets rematch, Cody chooses Rock and Rollins gets involved after Roman words who wants to prove that he can beat the best. Cody or Rollins wins. Everybody happy. Rock continues his story with Roman, Cody with Rollins, then after with Punk sooner or later, maybe also triple threat in next wm41 Rollins, Cody, Cm Punk.
I know that I'm not the first one to say this, but I think that they should've connected the new WHC belt to the legacy of the old one (the one held by Batista, The Undertaker, Triple H and Edge, among others). This would've made the belt mean much more, and in hindsight it would've made Roman's dunk on it much less valid.
Is it politics/final hurrah or is this TKO/WWE trying to divert ya attention away from the "sick freak" McMahon show that's been happening in last few weeks.
No fan of legends returning as majority of the time there clearly not same performer as there past self. But they do bring nostalgia and distraction from daily milarkey that is life.

Careful for what you wish for, Cody just isn't very entertaining - he's no cheap catch phrase merchant like la Knight but he does treat wrestling like theatre camp where he cries and does long soliloquys - let him "finish his story" then drop the belt back to someone more credible

They can easily fix this by having Cody vs Seth and Rock vs Roman on night 1 and then unify the titles on night 2. Then have Damien cash in on Raw and separate the belts immediately. Everyone wins.

There are THREE World titles right now. Roman has 2 of them. OFFICIALLY neither the WWE or the Universal titles are vacant. They're both officially listed as active.
Seth's title is the THIRD DAMN "WORLD" title for a company with only 2 real main brands. That's why Seth's title is so meaningless
