Hi, creator here. It uses an keras model trained with data of reported flights. Will get even better over time. Will improve it too, still have many ideas to make it even better. Currently only available in NL or BE, but will train more models when theres more data in different regions.
@@AntsFromHolland hey, do you have a written paper, or a website, with more information? Was considering working on the data gathering part of this on iNaturalist, would be cool to avoid replicating efforts.
It's a new thing... also there is little support for countries outside of Belgium and the Netherlands right now... I'll try to get some reports started for the US though.
@@AntsFromHolland Oh, Okay. There were few that must have swarmed along with few fusca queens few days ago, they didnt have any brood. That one with the brood was on 100% from last year, found her under stones, sorry, can i report it when i know they flew few days ago, And found dealates under stones with no brood?
Don't group the US into one separate countries; try states. The simple fact is the US is so large and has such a diversity of different types of ants and climates to the point where 99% or more of the reported flights will be useless.
I mean maybe combine regions that are similar like New England or Oregon and Washington to not have a nightmare to manage, moderate etc, apart from that I absolutely agree though
I'll have to test this out, planning to capture lots of queens this year to keep/sell
Got the app - was not disappointed. So excited for myrmica rubra flights this year 🐜🐜🐜
When will your gift cards refresh in the store?
seems great, I've been looking for something like this for a while!
can we order ants if we live in canada. Would the ants survive?
Interesting. Would like to know the algorithms behind it, but will test and see

How do you post flights? I don’t see an option to upload photos or record a nuptial flight. I do have an account.
In the seocnd page you can via the button bottom right. You don't need an account.
@@AntsFromHolland thanks, it worked.
Is there a website associated with it? I don't download apps on my phone.
Yes, but that websites brings you to the app.
@@EstheticAnts well that's a bummer. Thanks for the response.
Really good, I live in switzerland and I installed it without problem
Got the app- my phone exploded and my family died. They stole my kidney
Sounds like you're probably feeling a need for vengeful justice...
@@kykel4948 yessir, im gonna steal their kidney
@@Carebaraa Let me know if you need backup. I got you bro!

It wasn't available in France yet but this fixed now.

It will get regular updates.

@@AntsMichigan First the reports need to come in. The dataset needs to get bigger first.
when will ant identification be released?
Within some months hopefully.
I was trying to report a flight, but it didnt work, i have an account and filled everything
It got deleted because the queen already had brood. Only submit flights that are actually flying.

@@AntLover14 You can report flights up to 2 months in the past!
@@AntsFromHolland Thank you, i will report it again, this time with the queens without brood. Can i send picture with multiple queens or just one?
