Definitely sylveon for me. It's so cute, pretty and pink. I also love its shiny. Sylveon was my most reliable pokemon in my first gen 6 playthrough and I have loved it since.
Crazy to think that Eevee, a simple dog/fox/cat hybrid that could split into three different evolutions at first, would go on to have absolute dominance in lots of media, but it’s well deserved if you ask me. The Eevee family tree is incredibly likable
Doesn't seem so crazy to me. Having those three different forms meant it was arguably three times as likely for at least one of those to be somebody's favorite compared to any other Pokémon family, and that advantage only grows with each new evolution introduced. Not to mention the uniqueness of having those multiple evolutions in the first place helped make them all the more exotic, and being a one-off their debut generation made collecting a full set all the more of an endearing achievement for people to brag about. Eevee was pretty much always set up for success, and the only way things could have worked out better for it is if it had been the original mascot instead of Pikachu. I mean seriously, just imagine the speculative debates of not only would Ash ever evolve his starter could have been if it had also been an Eevee, inviting further speculation into which would be the best fit.
That and also because of Bellosm being Gloom's alternative evolution with a sunstone and so associated with daylight, Vileplume sorta became inversely associated with night and darkness.

I'm surprised that haven't shifted Umbreon, Espeon, and Sylveon's evolution methods to needing to use the Dusk, Sun, and Shiny Stone respectively like they did with Glaceon and Leafeon.
The reason Leafeon and Glaceon needed to change was that needing to put special locations for evolutions in every new Region was getting old (and also to make them easier to access earlier). Umbreon, Espon, and Sylveon are still readily available with simpler means.
@@Caroniver_Robocacci Fair enough but honestly they could just make it much simpler by making all the Eeveelution stone evolutions since they now have stones for each of them to use; atleast as an alternate evolution method. Flareon has always been my favorite Eeveelution because it's the only one that properly conveys what element it is while still maintaining every physical element that makes me love Eevee so much in the first place (long ears, neck poof, fluffy tail!) so I guess it does make perfect sense that Eevee's original designer also tackled Flareon and not much else.
Hey guys, did you know that in terms of human companionship, Flareon is objectively the most huggable Pokemon? As if Umbreon originally being poison-type wasn't enough, the fact GameFreak almost included flying-type Eeveelution into Sun/Moon completely debunks any notions that all of them being "special" types was ever anything other than happenstance and it means nothing is off the table for future games.
The Flying-type Eeveelution wouldn't debunk the notion as that idea wasn't thought of until long after the Physical/Special Split was a thing Also, the Umbreon thing would just be a counterpoint and wouldn't actually debunk it either.
@@TheTakato122: The physical special split doesn't mean a thing, because the theory that all Eeveelution types are only special is rooted in the pre-split mechanics, not to mention the assumption that Fairy would have been a special type if it had existed prior to the split. Likewise, Umbreon starting development as poison would still prove that GameFreak never had any such rule that Eevee could only evolve into special types.
I would add that SV are the only Pokemon games where Glaceon is obtainable anywhere before gym 6, as the next earliest is DPPl, where the Ice Rock is found outside of Snowpoint City (its earliest availability), and all other Ice Rocks are either locked to Post-game (Gen V: BW because Eevee can't be traded to BW until the Poke Transfer Lab is unlocked, B2W2 because Twist Mountain is now in the post-game for some reason) or not available until after the 7th gym badge is obtained. An exception for Sw/Sh as the Ice Stone there is found either in Route 9 (right before the 6th gym) or the Lake of Outrage (the last available Wild Area)
You can also get an Ice Stone from the Digging Bros in the wild area, so if you’ve got the time and watts, you can have a Glaceon before you fight Milo
As a kid when the games first came out in US, my first favorite Eeveelution was Flareon. Fire is my favorite type. After Gen 4 came out, it immediately became Leafeon. Grass is my second favorite type and the fact that it wasn’t made earlier baffled me but the wait was worth it as Leafeon has remained my favorite to this day.
Is that why we haven't a new Eeveelution because of the chance Game Freak might make a new Eeveelution that someone already fanmade drew?! ... Makes sense now. I do hope we get a new Eeveelution for Gen 10. It would be really cool.
If we aren’t getting any more Eeveelutions, it’d be cool if we got Mega Evolutions that given them the unused types as secondary typings like Umbreon with Dark/Poison, Sylveon with Dragon/Fairy, etc. Also if Ash got an Eeveelution, it should be an Espeon.
Shocking that Eevee being so immensely popular doesn’t have an evolution of all types already. They probably want to avoid having to port the whole evolution line everytime they want to include Eevee in a new regional dex.
My favorite has been, and always will be, Flareon. Despite how dirty they’ve done it with that physical move pool. My top five new Eeveelution types I want though, is definitely bug, dragon, ghost, flying and poison
We actually see Red's Vaporeon (well, Eevee, it could transform into all three evolutions at will) turn into a puddle during the Yellow arc of the Adventures manga. It's in the Red vs Bruno fight and it weirdly never happens again
Umbreon is also one of the few non-poison types/overtly poison themed mons to still learn toxic in gen 9, now I know why. Although dark and poison seem to be adjacent types anyways, with other random dark types that learn toxic, like Houndoom and Zoroak.
I love eevee because it’s quite literally the foil to pikachu. While poor Raichu is forgotten by pokemon it’s almost expected you evolve your eevee asap.
At first, my favorite was Flareon, and it still is my second favorite, but at some point Umbreon became my favorite Eeveelution. I don't really have a reason for it, but if I had to say it's probably its design and the fact it has three of my favorite colors on it.
A Sonic the Hedgehog and Pokemon crossover idea I had is an Eeveelution resulting from an Eevee evolving into a form when exposed to the Chaos emeralds. I call it Kaoseon (Chaos with a 'k' and eon) and I designed it with elements of Kitsune and Chao. :)
Correction on the champion fact: Blue’s starter and Cynthia’s Glaceon aren’t the only eeveelution to be use by champions, there is also Trace’s Jolteon in Let’s go Pikachu
If I had to choose one eeveelution I'd probably choose Glaceon just because I overheat all the time so having Glaceon would be great for it. Then again I live in Minnesota which has -20 degree weather so I'll choose Leafeon since I wouldn't have to worry about feeding it considering it uses photosynthesis to gain nutrients. Also, give us the Flying Eeveelution already please.
Umbreon's one of my favorite Pokemon of all time, he's No.4 I never realized his Japanese is referred to as "Bracky" now as Spinel in Pokemon HZ still calls his Umbreon "Blacky"
Espeon specifically was the catalyst behind arguably the greatest moment that’s ever happened to me in a video game, so much so that I turned August 7th, 2019 into a personal holiday I celebrate every year. In the Pokémon Rumble series of all things, that was the day I successfully finished a hunt for a super-rare special trait boss Pokémon going back *four years*. For context, it’s 2025, Rumble World is 10 years old and this is still the only Epic Boss I’ve ever found. That’s the kind of rarity we’re working with here. What made this special was that I actually called this before it happened as a complete joke, and that every year on August 7th, I’m finding strange Espeon-related coincidences like clockwork. Back in 2023 me and a good friend even three-peat on Shiny Espeon from the same sandwich in Scarlet & Violet. This deceptively brutal hunt teaching me so much about patience and effort holds so much value to me and to this day, I can’t help but have a fondness for Espeon because of it. If you read this whole comment, thank you for your time, I love sharing this story with people.
We have half of the typings. I personally wish we could get flying and dragon Eevees. I personally wouldn't wanna see rock, bug or poison cause they aren't very good types on paper (but eh we shall see)
No ice stone in BDSP? Impossible, I found one the first day I had the game. You get them from Digging in the Underground like the rest of the stones. Ice Stones are rarer than most of the others
My personal favorite Eeveelution is Flareon and my least favorite is Leafeon, despite the Eevee family being my favorite Pokemon group and Grass being my favorite elemental type. My mom, inversely, has Leafeon as her favorite Eeveelution design and Flareon as her least favorite.
I know that the Pokémon Company is big on copy right acts. But I wish that they would make it an exception with fan art as we are only trying to help them with innovating a great design
Gotta be my favorite umbreon. Just so cool in th games and anime! Cool information on Vaporeon though how it's tied to Japanese culture that i didn't know!
How to evolve each Eeveelution: Flareon - Fire Stone Jolteon - Thunder Stone Vaporeon - Water Stone Espeon - Friendly during day Umbreon - Friendly during night Leafeon - Leaf Stone Glaceon - Ice Stone Sylveon - Affection Aereon - Toss Eevee out the window Specteon - Wait for Eevee to land
I think I'm one of the only people that glaceon. I like ice types in general (surprising since Darmanitan, a fire type, is my pfp) Anyway, Spinel's Umbreon in Horizons is the named Blacky though
I'm with you brother, Glaceon is my favourite Pokemon period and I also believe in ice type best type. Just a shame that Glaceon and ice types in general are always the hardest to obtain in games
I don't know if Eevee is my favorite Pokemon but it is very high on my list, definitely higher then Pikachu. The Eeveelutions especially, are pretty high probably in my top 3 of each type, and you could say the only reason I even like Eevee is because it evolved into them. Espeon is my favorite of all of them but I don't know if it's my favorite Pokemon, but it is close.
We could've had a Flying-Type-Eeveelution, and the reason we didn't, will always give me depression. For the love of god, who cares if it looks a little similar to something some random person drew at some point?
Sylveon’s my favorite eeveelution, because it’s so cute, pretty, adorable, and lovable but it’s also actually an apex predator. PS. For those still new to Pokemon and don’t know what I’m talking about, look up Sylveon’s pokedex entries.
One unfortunate trait that all of them share is a shadow movepool including Sylveon. Seriously, name any real coverage (neutral or otherwise), especially ones that'd handle their weaknesses beyond their STAB & such as Shadow Ball excluding HP or Tera Blast. A movepool boost from Eevee itself from at least one of each of the Eeveelution types involved would do all of them some good, even if including as egg moves
Vaporeon's Ice Beam gives it a coverage option against grass-types. But admittedly it probably only has that coverage option because pretty much every single water-type also gets it, and because Glaceon wouldn't exist until three generations later. Then again, Espeon gets Dazzling Gleam which gives it coverage against dark-types, despite Sylveon also existing.
My favorite is Glaceon and it kills me that most games make it impossible to use one until you're basically at the end of the game 😭 Also, I'm still holding out hope that we get a new Eevee in Z-A. Possibly a dragon-type, with the explanation being that they became extinct due to the existence of Sylveon. Kinda sad, but it's far from the worst thing that'd happen in these games
I thought Umbreon's name has always been Burakki (blacky). Japanese doesn't have the L sound, nor R really, it's a combination of the two that is romanised to R.

like, remember that incident when kyoto animation studio being burned ? that happened bc the arson thought the studio plagiarized his work, they want to avoid to get into that kind of situation
It seems like to pretty good reason. Also fanart designs often contains too much stuff making them vague and complex to look at.
@@Turbos-b3z honestly you should look up eve any types because there tons of artwork for types makes it like walking on eggshells for company
You can get an Ice Stone as soon as you get to the Wild Area thanks to the Digging Duo
2:55 Hey guys, did you know that in terms male human, and female Pokemon breeding, Vaporeon is the...
As a kid when the games first came out in US, my first favorite Eeveelution was Flareon. Fire is my favorite type. After Gen 4 came out, it immediately became Leafeon. Grass is my second favorite type and the fact that it wasn’t made earlier baffled me but the wait was worth it as Leafeon has remained my favorite to this day.
the eeveelution family is one of my favorite group of pokemon ever!
With the amount of fan designs out there, they can't make new eeveelutions if they aren't allowed to resemble one.
Shocking that Eevee being so immensely popular doesn’t have an evolution of all types already. They probably want to avoid having to port the whole evolution line everytime they want to include Eevee in a new regional dex.
My favourite Eeveelution is Flareon because it's so FLUFFY
My favorite has been, and always will be, Flareon. Despite how dirty they’ve done it with that physical move pool. My top five new Eeveelution types I want though, is definitely bug, dragon, ghost, flying and poison
Glaceon can evolve with both locations based and with the ice stone in legend arceus (similar to leafeon)
We actually see Red's Vaporeon (well, Eevee, it could transform into all three evolutions at will) turn into a puddle during the Yellow arc of the Adventures manga.
It's in the Red vs Bruno fight and it weirdly never happens again
Most of this was new to me so I subscribed. Plus you’re voice isn’t annoying so that’s a bonus.
While poor Raichu is forgotten by pokemon it’s almost expected you evolve your eevee asap.
you're a great UA-camr, thanks for always coming up with cool vids
I love Espeon and Vaporeon and Pokémon Colosseum was dope af best game ever
Well, that note about the fan art, probably explains why dudunsparce exists now and not that uranium fan Pokémon.
At first, my favorite was Flareon, and it still is my second favorite, but at some point Umbreon became my favorite Eeveelution. I don't really have a reason for it, but if I had to say it's probably its design and the fact it has three of my favorite colors on it.
Me: "No! My Espeon lost to Umbreon."
Meanwhile in a alternate dimension
Me: "Yes! Espeon beats another poison type. Umbreon sucks man."
Nucleon is a definitive name for a poison type eevee. It would be fun to see the first radioactive pokémon.
Finally caught my first shiny Eeveelution last night Vaporeon. Love it, super pink
Umbreon's one of my favorite Pokemon of all time, he's No.4
I never realized his Japanese is referred to as "Bracky" now as Spinel in Pokemon HZ still calls his Umbreon "Blacky"
2:56 _Puts samurai sword down_
It's really hard being a Vaporeon fan on the internet
I feel you.
Vaporeon is good!
Good time for this video because apparently this year is the year of Eevee
Love the addition of the P5 music to these videos
5:13 -- you missed iron tail, unless it somehow lost that, too
Espeon specifically was the catalyst behind arguably the greatest moment that’s ever happened to me in a video game, so much so that I turned August 7th, 2019 into a personal holiday I celebrate every year.
Umbreon's referred to as Blucky in fan subs of the original series and Advanced Generation
We need more eevee Eeveelutions like if you agree
Eight is more than enough
@LITTLE1994 no we need one for almost every type not normal obviously not
I don't know, I'd love to see how they would make a Normal evolution for it.
They should make a Bug type Eevee and call it Beeveon or Hiveon
We have half of the typings. I personally wish we could get flying and dragon Eevees. I personally wouldn't wanna see rock, bug or poison cause they aren't very good types on paper (but eh we shall see)
No ice stone in BDSP? Impossible, I found one the first day I had the game. You get them from Digging in the Underground like the rest of the stones. Ice Stones are rarer than most of the others
wonder when we'll get the flying, rock, ground, dragon, steel, bug, poison & ghost versions of eevee?
Did you know that Vaporeon...
like im serious this is one of your best
So isn’t Flareon also able to have a burn the same way Jolteon can be paralyzed from gen 6 onwards?
Vaporeon was the first Eeveelution that I loved until Espeon was is equally awesome and elegant which I love 😍
Flareon learns Iron Tail
😂
Sylveon 🎀
Asking me to pick a favorite eeveeloution is like asking me to pick my favorite child 😅
Vaporeon Gang 🌊
Me, a Black Umbreon Fan: Umbreon will always be my favorite!
*sees translation*
Umbreon will ALWAYS be my favorite!
Happy JPR Friday
My favorite eeveelution and favorite pokemon period is Umbreon.
Year of Eevee baby!
Haven't seen it yet but I know the fact about Vaporeon already. :p
Favorite Evo? That's hard but maybe glaceon? Or gmax eevee
How to evolve each Eeveelution:
Flareon - Fire Stone
Jolteon - Thunder Stone
Vaporeon - Water Stone
Espeon - Friendly during day
Umbreon - Friendly during night
Leafeon - Leaf Stone
Glaceon - Ice Stone
Sylveon - Affection
Aereon - Toss Eevee out the window
Specteon - Wait for Eevee to land
We just gonna ignore his pun over the vaporeon copy pasta
HAPPY YEAR OF EEVEE!!
I think I'm one of the only people that glaceon. I like ice types in general (surprising since Darmanitan, a fire type, is my pfp)
Anyway, Spinel's Umbreon in Horizons is the named Blacky though
I'm with you brother, Glaceon is my favourite Pokemon period and I also believe in ice type best type.
Just a shame that Glaceon and ice types in general are always the hardest to obtain in games
You know, it's not easy telling people that Flareon is your favorite eeveelution.
Let me guess, people go on a tirade about how non-viable it is when you really just love the design?
@Dad_Shoes in a way, yes.
Flareon is my favorite eeveelution.
@amigomorton5193 I'd say better safe than sorry. That way people won't accuse Game Freak of 'stealing people's art'.
@@billiezeiszler608 Every cool fan art becomes another idea Game Freak will never use.
This sucks! There gotta be a better way to go about it.
Sylveon’s my favorite eeveelution, because it’s so cute, pretty, adorable, and lovable but it’s also actually an apex predator.
PS. For those still new to Pokemon and don’t know what I’m talking about, look up Sylveon’s pokedex entries.
Not the Vaporeon fun fact I had in mind but a welcome one anyway....any way hey guys, did you know that in terms of...
I'm a fan of espeon and for the shiny its also espeon because of pokemon go
Imagine if Eevee got a regional form
Regional Umbreon being pure Poison
Regional Sylveon being pure Flying
That would piss a lot of people on the internet off
I wish Espeon’s shiny was gold tbh
My favorite is Glaceon and it kills me that most games make it impossible to use one until you're basically at the end of the game 😭
Also, I'm still holding out hope that we get a new Eevee in Z-A.
If he don’t mention the vaporeon copyposta I’m unsubscribing
