It looks like it's going after Sony's PS-LX310BT, the improved tonearm looks very similar too. It trumps it too with an inbuilt but very capable AT-VM95C cartridge which has a great range of upgradable styli. Specs and looks wise, this may be the new budget starter turntable king, big improvement over the LP60X
Now if Audio Technica could just combine the best features of the other fully automatic turntable, the LP3X (replaceable cartridge, counterweight, anti skating) with the looks of this new model (size, button placement, color), we'd have a really great automatic turntable. Seems like all the best efforts are always aimed at manual units since those are so fashionable these days...
I've been thinking about getting into vinyl but not trying to break the bank. This might be the one And I was just sitting here wondering about the Sony Bluetooth one and the lp60bt decision decisions.. Love the idea I can upgrade the stylus that's a win
This is a nice update of the LP60xbt/LPGOxbt. Now one can change out cartridges to customize sound.

An upfront speed/pitch control would have been nice. Perhaps when the LP80X comes out in a few years.

Sorry, noob question. Had purchase the turnrtable only, my question is how will i know if the speaker or soundbar wil be compatible for lp70x? tia
Too expensive to make a fully automatic direct-drive turntable? Peace.
I'd buy it
This or LP3xBT?
No counterweight on the tonearm?
Hi there! The LP70x series does not have a counterweight because it is self-adjusting, with a tracking force of 1.8-2.2g. - A-T USA
