I've never seen a business model as chaotic as Uber. One would think by the never-ending changes that the company just launched a few weeks ago and it's trying to work out the "kinks." It doesn't take long for the drivers to lose faith in the leadership because this chaos makes the company look either crooked or incompetent.

Don’t forget their horrible customer service, their not rude or anything but they never seem to know what their doing, I find myself correcting them on a certain subject when I’m the one that called them for help, 😂🤦🏾♂️
This is true unless your in New York the demand for Uber black and black XL is crazy my uncle has a suburban and my friend has a 5 series they make 7 to 800$ a day ( sometimes over 800 but no less then 700 ) on only 4 or 5 trips sometimes 3, I kid you not, I wish I could post one of their weekly pays on here. The reason for that is obviously New York is the most busiest when it comes to Uber or taxi period but companies realized that Uber black fairs are cheaper then your regular black car company, so they partnered with Uber to give their employees rides, my uncle and friend sometimes take people from nyc to philly which is a 420$ ride and they always get someone coming back they get rides to the Hamptons, picking up famous people so they get to build a clientele easily but again this video is from 2021 ( still in the heart of the pandemic ) so maybe things have changed maybe Uber black is busy everywhere else like it is here.
In Michigan they require commercial insurance but all the commercial companies do not allow you to do ride-share because of no fault insurance. So you cannot protect yourself.

My local office is 4 hours away. They shut down the one that was 30 minutes away April 2020 and never reopened. It sucks
Except in Australia wheee they got rid of the hubs ; they figured why waste money on trying to help drivers .

I was at my local hub yesterday, trying to get answers on Black. Tricky to book an appointment to ask questions. You have to cheat the app, by booking to pick up PPE materials. Employee willing to help, but uninformed. Didn't get all questions answered.
Their outsourced to India phone support is an absolute disaster. They are completely uniformed, unaccountable, they will fill you up with nonsensical pleasantries, give absolutely no helpful answer, then they will rate themselves as having completed the request. That includes their 'supervisors'. When I asked the 'supervisor' to talk to someone in the US that might actually understand my question, he hang up on me.
Way to go, sociopathic CEOs, earning bonuses for dismantling the system to cut expenses.
Rideshare Professor I am in the same situation i been driving for uber X more than a year and half and when i think to so uber black i called the uber support team and they told me i am qualified for uber black all i need is to create a new uber black account with a different address email which i did and i went to the dealership and bought a Cadillac XTS Model Black and Black i uploaded all the requested documents and was waiting for the background check to be completed which took me 4 weeks and now i received tones of email from checker confirming me that my background check is completed and clear and uber has access on it but when i call uber the still tell me that they don’t have it on their system promising to document and escalate it to the internal team i feel so sade and the things is i gotta star my car payments and commerciale insurance payments and i am not driving the car yet i really need help .
@@morlo1053 you’re lucky because they never even submitted my background check. I’ve been waiting for 2 months. Then I went by the hub today and it’s permanently closed!
I can't even find commercial insurance here in Texas that's below 14K per year.

I have a Uber eats account, and they told me to do this to signup for ride share.. and I still can’t do ride share or talk to anyone about it..
Thank you for the sound advise. I'm in the Houston market. I've been driving for Uber X and Lyft. I'm on a break from driving. After almost 3 years I decided to go back to work in a regular job. Both platforms take obscene amounts from my fares. If I continue to drive it will be XL or Lux. I've been able to connect with enough riders to do some business off platform. I believe I will continue to use both platforms to connect with passengers that way in the future. I'm about to purchase a new vehicle.. One that qualifies for XL ,Uber Black and Lyft Lux but after watching this I'm thinking twice. Also, you mentioned buying a car through an auction in an earlier video. Is that the best rout to go without benefit of car dealer warranties? I'm now on the fence. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Avoid auctions. Buy the cheapest Toyota you can. Minimize your overhead. Learn how to change your oil and do basic maintenance.
If you buy a car that’s new enough you should still be under them manufacture waranty. If it’s past there are warranties available through company’s that you can attach to your action vehicle. One of the best extended warranty’s I’ve found is through a company called YAA. They are stand up guys and also have a you tube channel. Type in “Your Advocate Alliance”.
Mercedes Metris (for Houston) is a home run. Big and roomy and the three pointed star doesn’t hurt

I got a question, My 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe XL qualifies as a Lyft XL but on the Uber platform it don't, how come a similar SUV the 2019 Chevy Traverse qualify as an Uber XL when mine doesn't, they cost the same and both have 7 seats.
Just like each platform allows different aged vehicles, they also have different lists of qualifying vehicles.

My suggestion get a appointment with uber hub! There a separate form for Dallas Fortworth And they will help! And also suggest remove X on this new platform because uber can’t seem to control there apps you think it’s off but it comes on anyway good luck!
That email does not make any sense, it is telling you literally to open new account with another email to upload docs and get approved, and use the old account to get black requests? what?

When you’re creating a new account with Uber you have to understand that they will not allow the supply to rise higher than demand. Meaning when you’re starting a new account you will only be excepted in Uber someone else can’t use the app anymore. It’s the basic supply and demand model.

Is this still happening because I asked about doing Uber Black in Denver and they specifically told me to start a new account.
I make $4-600 per DAY. Now that is a good living 30-35 trips per day about 10 hours per day, min 15 trips per shift. 2 shifts of about 5 hours per day.
Impressive. What vehicle do you use? Uber black? What market? Those are phenomenal numbers. I'm just driving UberX and only make 275-300 a day in 9-10 hours. $21 in gas.
@@AustinRides7264 yea what city and I doubt it with the amount of trips their doing a day that it could be black. If it takes 10 hrs and 35 trips per day while using Uber black to make 4 to 600$ then it’s pointless if it’s Uber X that’s phenomenal but black… then that’s horrible.
Having the same problem
The best way to know how much Uber charge the rider are: after fish the trip, go to Uber rider and ask the amount to go for the place you came from, example airport! This way you will know how much $ rider paid to Uber! Easy!
That's why I am not trying to buy a car like that to much bull.
But you need a professional account set up as a business. An LLC won't be in a person's name. So you have to create a pro account.

It’s simple, don’t turn on X. I drive Black and Comfort only and have no issues. I did have to set up a second account though, that part is true and idiotic. It was a pain in my ass.

Here’s how their algorithm works. You join and ready to roll (Uber X, XL, Blk whatever) then they throw you some really good hits to fish yah and you’re baited. Jonny boy will work his ass off to get to the next stage of “Uber Promise” and you’ll be like wait a moment; this ain’t what it was like when I initially started. 😜
SO, its probably better to stay with an XL vehicle.

It’s interesting because I have an tesla X which I’ve had as my personal car and been happily doing Lyft Lux and Uber comfort here and there for extra cash.
Recently I inquired about Uber black and they told me to open a second account which I found to be totally confusing, so I never pursued it. Plus I looked up that it costs $1,000 to get a TNC license in California (correct me if I’m wrong about this)
Got my Uber black account going only one account tho

It's solid. I drive a hybrid I own completely and it's over 200k miles now and still runs like new. UberX. $6-7k a month. Insurance is cheap. Not spending too much on gas either. Stockpiling cash. Maybe I'll invest in real estate
Pay attention to what I am going to say: they got rid of the cabs, attracted all of us in the beginning uber was decent , soon they won't have any drivers , they will have self driving car , they are just buying time , you remember few years ago they were testing that king of car, but they had that that accident and slowed things.
They are buy time until they release those cars.

You think it stops there? Did you know that IF and when you would be accepted i to the Uber platform they do favoritism on rides? Yes! Certain drivers would get the good orders before you do! You can be sitting at a hotel waiting for an order for 1+ hours and here comes that other driver out of no where and gets an order from the same hotel and area you have been waiting for! First hand experience i know many guys in the industry. Im looking to get the F out of this shit and into something else ASAP. Fk Uber
