I feel like this guy is criminally underrated, for a couple of reasons. First one is the most obvious but also the most bizarre - Shane Warne. Which is the equivalent of guitarist John Meyer never standing a chance because SRV, Hendrix and Clapton existed. People don't want to rate Zampa because there was also once a blonde Aussie legspinner with flair. The second reason however is that I think Zampa is overshadowed by the pace unit in Australia who get more accolades, and doesn't have the multi-format exposure of Lyon who gets the Test spot. For me however Zampa is right up there as one of the most effective, consistent bowlers in short form cricket in the world.
IKR fr this guy performs and goes under the radar so many times, he literally steals the games from so many teams by 2-3 wickets , criminally underrated is the perfect term
This year the hundred has been disappointing both men and women in terms of batting. I know the pitches are not ideal for batting but a bulk of below 100 scores is just unacceptable.
