    Hi Members! I felt it was time for another 'traditional 101' style pendant wrap and revisit a simple basic style. This is a beautiful frame for your long and narrow teardrop-shaped stones. I am using a gorgeous Labradorite cabochon with an incredible blue electric flash.
    The stone is 1.75 inches long x just over .5 inches wide and about 4mm thick
    The wires are
    3 x 12 inches of 18 gauge, soft, square copper wires (you can sub with Round wires too)
    26 inches of 22 gauge, half round wire for bale and lower banding.
    1 foot of 26g round wire for ties
    3mm round bead ball (optional)
    The Tools are the basic few...
    Flush Cutters
    Fine Nose pliers (Bent or Chain)
    2000 grit sanding pad (optional)
    Have fun! Please let me know if you have any questions.
    Much love!

    May I ask, please. What is your secret to keeping the wires so perfectly straight? Thank you kindly. I absolutely love your presentations. They really are the best of the best. I very much appreciate your generosity and dedication to share your wisdom and knowledge. You are a pleasure to listen to and I immensely enjoy seeing how deftly your hands work the wire. Indeed you are an inspiration to behold and I feel so privileged to have found you. Much love from the beautiful region of the New England, Australia. 🥰🙏🏼

      Thank you, Seer... I start by straightening the wire using Nylon Jaw plieres before I work... then during work, it is easier to use a light but controlled grip on the wire... use fingers to hold the wires, not the whole palm of your hand. Most who are new to wire art, have the natural tendency to over grip their wire, which can cause warpy, bent wire during work. I also maintain the wire as I work, correcting bends back to straight... it is always a matter of practice also. I hope that helps you! Thank you for this kind and lovely comment and Thanks for watching!! I appreciate you.🙏❣️

    Love lt!! BTW when adding a bead, does it make a difference if your wraps are on the upper or lower side of the bead?

    • @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry
      @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry  5 місяців тому

      Thank you so much! I think it does... I am not always the best at focusing on the beads near the end of the videos, I should do better lol! My eyes are usually quite fuzzy by then. ... having said all that, I do find it's best to wrap the beads on from behind the wire, on the lower side of the bead yes... and to be as consistent as you can with both sides of the tie. I think in this video, I even maybe missed a stitch on one or the other side, but you've brought up an excellent point with your question! Thank you again for watching!

      @@PerfectlyTwistedJewelry Thanks for responding so quickly!! I really love your tuts!! I like your explanation of how, and where we should place our hands to manipulate wires that may achieve the desired outcome!!
