For the most part in cattle, yes. Not so much in sheep. In cattle, it seems to work more on the basis on incomplete dominance, with heterozygous polled cattle growing scurs. As far as I know, the polled gene is not related to the intersex gene in cattle. Seems like in sheep it's more complex. 🙂
