Help required to identify this unknown lathe compound slide

As per the video title, I need some help identifying what lathe this likely came from. It is a little bit different from a "standard" cross slide or compound slide found on the lathes I have previously used. Any help appreciated.

I'm guessing it's a tool retractor for being lazy in the pre DRO days
