So many things wrong with this job, front scar face cut was at wrong angle, it's aimed directly down the center of the 2 buildings not taking into account the huge amount of fronds which can do damage as they fall, check the drop lines on the chainsaw, they help you with direction of fall, OMG!! way too high for the back cut, down lower for the back cut...about 25 to 50mm up from the bottom of scar face cut & use wedges they do help & you have to take out the top section as it's so heavy,which means you gotta get a climber up there to take out the complete top & trunk right down to a safe possible complete drop zone, in your endeavours to save money, you just made more expense for yourselves... hire professionals..hindsight is a teacher
Hard to tell from the camera angle. It looked to me like he had the front notch pointing in the right direction. Would he have been ok if he had made the back cut lower?
That front wedge looked a bit big then the back cut was too high looks like not much of a hinge was left and no use of using wedges in the back cut. just saying
He knew that was going to fall on the church so that was dumb asf. Now the people can’t to go church because a heavy ass palm tree that could’ve happily stayed where is was unbothered fell on their roof 🤦🏾♀️

That tree had a natural lean towards the direction it fell and he didn’t compensate for that lean.
